Great video as always! I remember a few videos back you fried some Spam at a campsite. We've since followed your lead, albeit microwaving it, and wow, that stuff is great! Thanks for the idea. Keep up the great videos!

Spam... it is like a nice steak to me when camping! Most week long trips I will take two singles, eat one right away and save the second for a special occasion. Thanks for watching and commenting!

No idea how I just now stumbled on your vids. Love all your vids. How you don’t have more subs is beyond me. We are doing a Mudro to horse this June. Really looking forward to it now

Thank you, so glad you enjoyed the videos! The YT algorithm isn't favorable to me I guess. Having viewers like you watch and comment is very much appreciated. Have fun on your trip!

Bryan, Welcome Back! It is good to see a trip report from you again.
I really enjoyed your comments about the history of the area. It is interesting what you can find and/or imagine if you pay attention in the BWCA.

Hello, glad you enjoyed the video! There is a ton of history in that area as well as other parts of the BWCA. Thankfully the terrain and climate was rough enough that permanent settlement didn't happen and it could be left as wilderness for us to enjoy. Sorry for big delays in videos, life is busy and editing takes many hours per video. Thanks for watching and commenting!

@@MNmostly Bryan, It is an amazing area.
I often have people suggest I should do video but understand the investment in time it would involve. I really appreciate how much added work it adds to your outings as well. Thanks for making the effort to share. I really enjoy your reports.

@@rechuckg You hit it right on the head, besides the editing time it is the time shooting while camping too. It kind of becomes second nature after a while. Once in a while I just leave the camera off and enjoy the journey. Glad to hear you enjoy the videos, the fact people like you watch them keeps me interested in making them!

Finally got a chance to watch this. Looks like your weather was similar to ours ;-) The color was as well. This must have been the "year of the otters" for you. Great capture of them playing out on the lake. Funny thing about that campsite you found on TCM... every time I've been through there, it's been occupied so I've never been able to check it out -- I figured it must be a very good and popular site. Great start to the trip. Looking forward to the rest.

Hi Larry, yes you guys brought some nice weather and I took advantage of it ; ) Sandpit and TCM had plenty of color in the maples but Horse was pretty "piney" and not nearly as colorful. The next morning the otters were out again and I captured a short but nice clip. They just wouldn't behave as I followed them around in the canoe and ended up mostly silhouetted by the bright sun but it sure was fun to see and hear them. Part 2 is nearly done, hope to have that on the way in the next couple days. Thanks for watching and the nice comments!

Great video, looking forward to the rest! Can I ask what tent you use? I am looking for a new one.

Hi Anthony, Thanks! The tent it is a Six Moon Designs Lunar Duo. It is just under 3 lbs and super roomy. I've taken trips with two people in it and is a palace for one. It's always been super dry and taken some terrible winds. It's not freestanding and that can be a pain but I find you get used to the setup.

Thanks for sharing another canoe/camping video. We like watching these and recalling our own great times and scenery that was experienced in northern
    Minnesota.

We entered at Mudro in 2019. There was a surprising difference in the water level between the time we put in and came out. I had no idea about the logging history there. Fascinating to learn about it.

Hi Lily, glad you were able to learn something from the video! The water level in that small creek is affected greatly by beaver activity even in normal years. Last fall it was lucky to have any water at all. It sounds like you experienced some of that yourself. Thanks for watching!
