Chan in white never wears the jacket, so I think he puts it back where vampire Chan gets it at the beginning. It's a cycle yes, but not because "good" Chan becomes "evil" Chan, but because their story is bound to continuously happen. "Evil" Chan wakes up and goes on a killing spree, "good" Chan stops him, and the cycle repeats. Aside from that, any interpretation is good as Chan has told us that what the mv means is up to us.
My first thought when i saw the MV and white Chan appear was that this whole thing was him fighting himself, fighting with his dark thoughts, like the black Chan is the negative thought, all the times he says he is not beautiful, or good enough and white Chan is him trying to believe otherwise, trying to fight the negativity and putting himself down trying to overcome it but then the negativity comes back and it's constant battle.
This! This is the closest to my interpretation as I have found. Also the stage performance and the MV loop as well. The chair at the end is the chair at the start of the performance and the fall off the back of the stage is the fall into the start of the video. The *whole* song is just loop and cycle and loop and cycle over and over. It's *brilliant*.
I saw this awesome interpretation: obviously he's fighting against himself-he had a dream and the passion to go after it, to the point it consumed him and took over his everything. He NEEDED to keep going, losing sleep to work, sacrificing himself to make others happy no matter how much they stepped over him to do so, or how much he'd have to step on others to make the dreams come true. Maybe he got a bit cocky and obsessed with the success of it all/with his need to be loved and accepted by fans (the minions he's creating in mv) and the chan at the end is him NOW-tired but accepting and telling himself to chill the fuck out and enjoy it all. Near the end, the video rewound to the beginning (2:12 of official mv), where "good but tired chan" (in white) stopped himself (the obsession fueled vampire) before he became a power hungry monster...... And he leaves him behind at the end-still alive and twitching on the floor-knowing that this darker part of himself will always be there, it will never go away. But he (good chan) will always be in control, and stronger than the insatiable desire and greed he has within himself. The prison where the mv is held is also his "mind". Literally trapped in his own brain-palace-prison, where the cycle and constant battle within himself repeats over and over and over again...
Craving someone or a relationship is actually so real especially if we talk about him and about a K-Pop idol thay can't have romance like other people so craving and that locking someone feels like falling in love, craving that person and putting that love and craving in a cage because he can't have it. Can also be this maybe, the lyrics are 100% for someone so the MV shows his struggle with that because also of this industry rules and the other Chan is the professional one, the "SKZ leader and member" one, trying to lock this cravings that everyone has, he's human in the end, he definitely struggles for love and romance, maybe I'm overthinking too 😂
love your interpretation! Totally agree that this is about an internal struggle. I am thinking the two chans are: the chan that wants/craves the adoration of fans and feeds into that (creatures gotta be the fandom) and the other chan is the chan that feels that he gives too much of himself/ needs to hold back something of himself FOR himself - but then it's gotta be so hard when you're part of the (industry) machinery that just will not stop - when you're in the middle of the story and there are so many people depending on you (members, fans, industry, etc). so it's this constant cycle of feeding, depleting and then healing only to fight another day (and yeah turning people, too - love the vampire theme). OH AND YES, love this idea that he's feeding and thinking it'll be great, but it ends up not being as satisfying as he needs/wants. Empty calories.
Bang Chan in whatever cave you're come out😭😂🙏🏻he might be giggling somewhere seeing all of us freak out. Man is having the time of his life while gagging all of us
There’s so much going on! All the movie and theatre references. The entire production and storyline is so incredible! This song will be on loop for a while.
I really like your comment on this MV! I am still trying to figure out what I think this very cinematic MV means, but I really love that he did not just gave us something to thirst on, but a very mind-blowing story 😮
I absolutely love your interpretations. I came straight here after watching railway video twice and just being blown away and knowing there is so much story and so much to analyze. Thank you for your interpretation! Bangchan did say he would leave railway up for interpretation and im so glad he did. Between the lyrics, the stage performance and now this insane done cinamatic mv- it just incredible.
I was interested in the middle character, the Chan in the red-toned waistcoat in the daylight. It was like a haze of a drugged out party, it was outside in the sunlight but still within the prison. It's like he wasn't trying to escape he was happy to live in this chaotic haze and feed it and create more like him. He shows the fence to the creatures but if you notice there are creatures on the other side at the same time, and then Chan turns and walks away. I kind of started to wonder if all those creatures were other versions of him. Because if you go through it frame by frame he seems to change between dominant and enthralled between frames sometimes. Were those creatures part of him, which is why they are in the same prison. So many theories. But I do enjoy how once again Chan and Novvkim took double meaning from a concept. Railway as a song about desire talks about compulsion and power relationships but in a way relating to the power of pleasure and trust. The MV takes the concept of power and compulsion and applies it to this vampire narrative, the bloodlust and power it gives, the desire that has to be controlled and contained. Because ultimately desire can be powerful in good and bad ways in many contexts.
Don't apologise for your interpretation. Bang Chan said himself he enjoys fans interpretation. This is exactly the type of thing he wants and encourages. If he ever watches this I think he would love your interpretation
Enjoyed you reaction! You managed to put my thoughts into words far better then I was able to when I was trying to explain what I took from this mv to someone ❤
I’m glad there’s finally a reason as to why he sometimes wears white suits and other times black suits during his live solo. I didn’t understand it until the MV.
Thank you for clarifying the MV. After the first viewing, I didn't realise anything. Your version explains everything and draws my attention to the previously missed details.
I like how you interpret each scene in the MV, I can understand the "possible" storyline that Chan wants to convey. Because honestly when I first watched it I couldn't think, just speechless :)
Yeah, same theory. But I don't think, the Order-Chan actually "kill" beast-one, just suppressed and consumed for weakening and trapped. Like it's still him, both sides. Looks like Uroboros: unleash and catch again, untill sake wake him up. Love your reaction so much
Such a great review!!! ❤❤❤❤❤ thank you for this! Your interpretation of this mv makes complete sense to me. You pointed out a few details I didn't notice before about the cycle. At first, the naughty side of me was wanting the mv to be the most shallow veraion of a video that it was about train and hanging onto the railings.. 🤭 but who was i kidding.. this is Bang Chan we're talking about. All 3Racha members have such diabolical minds. This mv is so completely diabolical, raw, gory, yet beautifully artistic at the same time. Channie looks great in the mv oc.. 😍
Bang Chan and Christian Yu (DPR ian) are basically the same person at different times of life Both Australian from sydney both attended same high school in Australia and both left to go to korea and did kpop
Whatever he is craving for, fighting against to…for me is a circle that he is trapped, because in the middle of the Mv, it’s the following phrase written “ The evil deed committed always returns to the person who committed “. Thanks for your reaction full of ideas about the meaning of it.❤
Thanks for your insightful vids. Your interpretation always amazes me ❤ I have to say Bang Chan is really creative and has a very unique mind (unique thoughts, too, but rather exactly unique mind) and I am very overwhelmed by his MV. Whatever my previous expectation was isn't this. Far beyond my expectation and I feel thanks for JYP finding him when he was just a cute little boy with tons of potentials and sparkling eyes so that he could meet other SKZ members in JYP and made SKZ later Since this MV is only for him and Stay, he can go bolder, I think. (Let's say he wants to keep SKZ purer and a bit safer(or more innocent) and he let loose to go further since this is his solo... And all these solo MVs make me more excited about what SKZ will bring to us in their long, long career ahead and can't wait see their next moves +. Ah, BTW Ryan Raynols should have watched this, too and hope one day the cameo Ryan planned for his MV but didn't succeed due to schedule conflicts will really happen. I mean SKZ can act, too, especially Bang Chan
At first, I thought ‘Railway’ would be a song with a bold and sultry vibe, something along the lines of Drive. But as I listened, I realized it was something entirely different, much more vulnerable and introspective. It’s not about passion or desire but about an internal struggle, a battle with oneself that feels deeply personal and raw. The delicate melody and his emotive voice set a reflective tone that feels almost haunting. The MV carries this intimate and slightly unsettling atmosphere, especially with the Romanian phrase, ‘My castle belongs to the darkness.’ It becomes clear that this isn’t about embracing the dark but about trying to cage or suppress a side of himself he sees as unwanted or harmful. Knowing his struggles with insomnia, the song seems to mirror the restless thoughts that keep him awake at night, a fight to quiet the parts of himself he doesn’t like or fears. It’s not a story of acceptance but of resistance, of trying to control what he believes doesn’t belong. Hearing this and seeing how deeply it reflects his inner battles was unexpected and deeply moving. ‘Railway’ turned out to be much more than I initially thought, revealing a side of Bang Chan that’s both heartbreaking and profoundly human. It’s a song that stays with you, leaving you with a mix of emotions, admiration, sadness, and a wish that he could see himself through the love and appreciation of those who care for him… Thank you, as always I love your reactions 💕
I love the fact that white Chan at the end goes with this chair right on the stage performance for us… and in the end of performance he goes to Dark Christoper in the start of the MV… so clever… P: Professor? Is this all real? Or is it just happening inside my head? D: Of course it's happening inside your head. Why should that mean that it's not real? Chan played us again with this sexy lyrics 🤣🤣🤣
Omg yesss! Like a DPR Ian and Bang Chan collab would go crazy. It's a NEED. Plus Chris really likes Ian's artistry and talent. Talent recognizing talent 🙂↕️
I was obsessed of this song since the first time I listened to it. I'm obsessed of all dark mystic stuff like vampire's and such stuff for aaaaaaaaages ... I love Namg Chan since pre-debut..... so can you imagine what this MV makes me feel? I'm soooooooooooooooo not ok. This is THE best, insane, perfect masterpiece for me.... i'm watching it on repeat since the release non stop.
I think your interpretation of the video is pretty good. I've been confused and my brain has been so challenged to find a connection between the video and the song. It describes well the life he has and lives in. Not to be free, to do what his heart desires
Thank you for getting to this so quickly. I got the same interpretation as you. this m/v is so creative, and I love the seduction vibe of the song. Its like it sucks you in, or draws you in. you can't turn away from it. adding I would also love to have DPR IAN collaboration with Bang Chan, or Felix. I have always thought of Felix though as a collaboration, with DPR IAN but would love any member or all Stray Kids with DPR IAN.
Never change… I love the immature moments just as much as the serious interpretation! It totally balances out a great review, plus it makes me feel a little better after I have literally melted because of how hot he is!! Bang Chan knows what he’s doing with M/V’s like this and Red Lights… he knows we love the sexy stuff but he doesn’t compromise the ‘message’ of the song. It’s meant to be dark & sultry because obsession is seductive.. whatever the obsession is it will always seduce you over and over again. Bang Chan is incredible, I love that his confidence and belief in himself seem to grow with every year, every comeback. He will always be my bias and the talent he has is just beautiful to watch. Love the review. 🖤🖤
White Chris doesn't wear the jacket. I think that he puts it at its place where at the start it's taken by Dark Chris, so that the loop would be repeated with perfect details again and again
I love that it can have so many meanings i thought about him losing himself in his music getting so consumed by it to keep writing producing losing sleep over it letting it control him then taking back that control
Omggg not you mentioning DPR IAN haahhaha my mom was pressuring me to show her the mv for this yesterday and she was like oehhh it's giving Ian (DPR IAN) haha🖤
Thank you for your explanation. To me it makes great sense. I find it very scary and it made me feel too frightened to think straight. I still find it very scary and do not know what really young fans will make of it.
At the beginning Chan dressed the same as Ian in Limbo, the tie and the suit are the same... and the eyes, two versions of Chan... Chan said he loves Ian. So maybe is that a hint? 😏 btw I love this MV sooo much!
Bang Chan and DPR IAN collaboration??? Yes, PLEASE!
Love the MV, the acting, the song, your reaction, everything, amazing!!
Would like to see this and a collab with Taemin since they're both fans of Ian. 😎
@@sheriasanchez Taemin, Chan and Ian... are u crazy?! My heart is not that strong...
@@sheriasanchezOMG I would love that so much
RIGHT
I love that you make the effort to interpret the visuals beyond the immature moments. I appreciate a healthy mix of both. :)
White bang Chan “the saint” was trying to control/ kill “dark and sexy” bang Chan cause it’s too much for us 😂😂
Pfffft😂 best interpretation
Chan in white never wears the jacket, so I think he puts it back where vampire Chan gets it at the beginning. Loved your reaction! Thank you for all your effort. Loved your immature moments equally 😘🤣

Enjoyed you reaction! You managed to put my thoughts into words far better then I was able to when I was trying to explain what I took from this mv to someone ❤
Love your cycle interpretation, and a cycle fits with live performance. The ending scene of mv is the starting scene of the live.
One more battle between Chan n Christopher 😂😂
Only we can do is bow cause this man is out of this world, quoting "giant by stray kids": a god of gods
I appreciate your interpretation so much. Definitely gives me something to think about. Thank you!

Great reaction. Love everything you said. Especially referring to the other side as the dark passenger.
This fucked me up real bad in the best way 😂
Edit: also the chair appears to be similar to his performance so the cycle continues
Omg ur interpretation was incredible!!
I am so happy u made this reaction after the release of the MV. Thank you so much.
I think your interpretation is spot on! Really enjoyed your thoughts on this video.
リアクションありがとうございます!このMVの純粋なバンチャンが、ステージのパフォーマンスに続いて、ステージ上から落ちてまたMVに繋がるのだと思います!
Your interpretation makes sense! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this!
Yeah, same theory.

you got it the dark passenger is his past, his blood is his effort bad exprience his pain all what has exprience his self, lyrics is so meanfull
So look forward to your reactions! Especially this one. You were so animated! And, your "immature" comments, dead on!
Your interpretation is so great! So professional! There are a lot of details that I didn't notice!Thank you for your wonderful interpretation~

Ur inner thoughts becoming intrusive words is the realest thing in this video. It got crying 😂😂 3:13
Same😂
This is a fabulous review, thank you. 🎄Wishing you a safe and happy holiday season🎄✨
Thank you for your explaining this Mv🎉
This was such a good solo for him 👏

I enjoy your analysis *and* your innuendos.
You have the best interpretations. I’m getting Underworld Hybrid vibes where he’s half Werewolf half Vampire but only shows the Wolf side.
I think your interpretation of the video is pretty good. I've been confused and my brain has been so challenged to find a connection between the video and the song. It describes well the life he has and lives in. Not to be free, to do what his heart desires
The way that they keep us thinking about their meaning in each m/v is absolutely next level of creativity
"Railway, Rail me" IS SO REAL 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thank you for getting to this so quickly. I got the same interpretation as you. this m/v is so creative, and I love the seduction vibe of the song. Its like it sucks you in, or draws you in. you can't turn away from it.

An adult interpretation! Thank you. And I love that you admit to your immature self 😂
Also I definitely got DPR Ian vibes from this as well! I think it's the storytelling that makes it similar.
❤This song does things to me I'm not proud of. I absolutely love it 😍
Never change… I love the immature moments just as much as the serious interpretation! It totally balances out a great review, plus it makes me feel a little better after I have literally melted because of how hot he is!! I still find it very scary and do not know what really young fans will make of it.

Let me tell you this it totally reminds me of teen wolf the nogitsune season

I LIKE YOU YOUR MY NEW FAV TH-camR
I watched this MV in a gas station parking lot in the middle of baren cornfields on my way to my dad's house. It wasn't the best decision. 😂
Chan said for the mv it's originally vampire theme
This music video just reminds me the story of "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde"
I love this mv

When he has the suite without the jacket, does he look like a hotter Joker to anyone else? Or is it me?
Amazing mv
