He (Bangchan) is the main producer of all Stray Kids' discography, except for very few exceptions (but he is also still one of the producers) along with 2 other members, Changbin and Han, so (someone correct me if I'm wrong) many of Stray Kids' beats, including this song, are created entirely by him, or also, with other producers.

About the cursing, their label doesn’t allow them to curse, but they have a few song where they play on words to do say.In Giant Bang Chan says “do re mi fa King Giant,” in Topline he says “we don’t give a” then the record stops and someone covers his mouth and they never say the actual word, in Super Bowl they say “dish so bussin” but fans always say the S word lol. In Comflex they say they don’t have S word, but they’re actually saying a Korean word that sounds like the S word, but it’s a play on words of course.They don’t cuss much that’s for sure
@@TheKTwins5668 Actually, he's such a lyrical genius and does wonders with playing on words. Especially with Korean to English play on words. For example, they have a song called Any. But it's a play on the word "No" (ani) in Korean because phonetically, they sound the same. Bang Chan plays a lot with Phonetics when blending Korean words and English words together in their lyrics. They do this in VENOM too.
About the MV, here is a theory i found from someone here on yt: obviously he's fighting against himself-he had a dream and the passion to go after it, to the point it consumed him and took over his everything. He NEEDED to keep going, losing sleep to work, sacrificing himself to make others happy no matter how much they stepped over him to do so, or how much he'd have to step on others to make the dreams come true. Maybe he got a bit cocky and obsessed with the success of it all/with his need to be loved and accepted by fans (the minions he's creating in mv) and the chan at the end is him NOW-tired but accepting and telling himself to chill the fuck out and enjoy it all. Near the end, the video rewound to the beginning (2:12 of official mv), where "good but tired chan" (in white) stopped himself (the obsession fueled vampire) before he became a power hungry monster...... And he leaves him behind at the end-still alive and twitching on the floor-knowing that this darker part of himself will always be there, it will never go away. But he (good chan) will always be in control, and stronger than the insatiable desire and greed he has within himself. The prison where the mv is held is also his "mind". Literally trapped in his own brain-palace-prison, where the cycle and constant battle within himself repeats over and over and over again...

I would bet money that Bang Chan created the beat. He loves to do that, and it seems so easy for him. He also likes to add unconventional sounds into the music. They have done all genres of music throughout their career together (since 2017). Bang Chan started out in rap with the group 3Racha, who are now the main creators of the groups music.

Chan left the interpretation of the MV to each viewer. My thoughts are Chan is the train (he is known to never sleep but to be constantly working) and the railway is life. The white figures are his demons/obsessions. Sometimes, he controls them, sometimes he slays them, and sometimes he feeds them. This leads to a "new" Chan who slays old self. It’s cracking me up that this was the first Stray Kids song you discovered. He’s the leader of Stray Kids, an 8 member group. Pretty much all 8 of them can dance, sing, and rap. They’ve debuted in 2018 and the leader, Bang Chan had been a trainee with JYP for 7 years so he tried something different and had Chan choose who the members would be. They’ve had a show about it called Stray Kids (named after them). There is a main rap line: changbin, Han, Hyunjin, and Felix. The main vocal line is Seungmin, I.N, Lee Know, and Bang Chan. Changbin and Han those 2 with the leader, Bang Chan, make up the production and main songwriting sub unit called 3Ratcha. Since they do their own writing and producing, their songs often combine or even sometimes defy genres. The main 3 dancers (Dance Ratcha) are Lee Know, Hyunjin, and Felix. The Vocal Racha sub unit is Seungmin and I.N. But there are songs where all 8 of them sing too. This song is from the Hop album where they released 4 group songs and each of them released a solo song. This is such an amazing song. He’s usually such a sweet guy but every so often you see a little spice like in this one. The thing is where they usually give the inspiration behind them, he refuses to give anything other than “trains.” I feel like there’s the immortality, creating a legacy, but keeping themselves or himself in check. He won’t let himself become a monster and that could mean with this new contract and popularity, their fame, letting too much go to their heads as they move forward. They’ve been hungry this whole journey from trainee to now. With the avidness of their fans and the competitive atmosphere between not only the groups (many of which he’s friends with and respects) but also the companies themselves. But also he could be just wanting to delve into the darker aspects of any lore and it might not be related to them at all. That seems less likely. It makes my goth punk little heart happy. 😊🥹 At the end you see Hunter Chan walk away in the distance but in the foreground you see Vamp Chan’s feet sticking up and him grunting. So he’s not dead but he’s staked down or possibly dying but I don’t think so. Like maybe he escapes sometimes and he needs to be restrained occasionally. That could represent so much.
Great synopsis! BangChan has given interviews where he explained this is his perfectionism and drive that really comes out at night and is hard to control. It's taken him to some bad places, and it can damage his relationships with others, so he thinks of it as a monster. The "train never sleeps" part is that bit of personality that is always pushing to be more, better, more accomplished, etc. It's always there.

I put together what I think Chan's song is about and ran it by numerous people on the groups on facebook. Seems to be a liked interpretation. Here it is if you would like to read it ❤ The interpretation of the mv and song I got was, it is about his obsession to overwork and not sleep. Just like Red Lights, also why you have a lot of red, to reference to red lights, could be to stop, could be a warning. We do know Chan likes to reference his issue with work obsession, as he did in Red lights. Here he is Vampire Chan(as per Chan) to start and he goes around turning people into himself, basically overworked Zombies...In Vampire lore if you drink the blood of a Vampire, he becomes your master. Which we see in the MV. So then enter 2nd Chan(good Chan) with the white eye on the other side. He comes in to stop obsessed Chan. He kills him and then goes to leave, but grabs his jacket. (You know he kills him because at the end you hear the zombie/vampires eating him and you see his shoes) Thus starting the cycle over again. Where he wakes up starving, for his work, he tried to be good and not obsessed...but he is what he is....and goes through it all over again. That is why it starts the same way it ends, with Chan being blown backwards. Channie has always said one thing he doesn't like is how obsessed he is and how he doesn't sleep but he can't stop. Tunnel vision, when he gets into producing he gets tunnel vision...this train never sleeps....wow....I thought this song was going one way but it went off another way. He also said he wasn't going to explain it and people can pull whatever they want out of it. 😊 He made it so others could see themselves and how they obsess and get into cycles. For him it is his music, overworking and not sleeping...for others it may be something else. They are trapped in that yard trying to get out...with illusions of being free because there is sun, but there is barbed wire and even though they are outside, they are not free. (Trapped in his mind) His baby in this, is his music. This train never sleeps as he is trying to finish the song but it is going to take a lot, so hold on tight and trust him. Need no breaks, no breaks....he can't stop until he is done. But doesn't he care about the casualties? Other people will suffer with being overworked but he can't help it because something is saying more please....the song isn't perfect, he needs to make it perfect. It is safe when it's just you and me (him and the song, so he doesn’t overwork those around him and have others obsessing too. It is only him getting hurt.) Railway, from one destination to another. From one song to another. It just keeps going, even when you finish one stop, there is another. At first I didn't think this mv or song fit together...but it actually does. The evil deed always returning to the one who committed it(what the sign reads)....he believes he hurts those around him with his obsession, (seeing himself as a sort of monster that hurts others) so in the end he is cursed to starts the vicious cycle again. Him being hurt with overworked obessession all because he put that on others, it comes back to him...He always puts such deep things in his songs. I do like that it took a different turn than I thought.

You just opened a can of worms with this guy. Look at his group, Stray Kids. They were the first "experimental" kpop group where BangChan was able to hand pick each of his members, and they had to compete to stay. They were originally 9 members, then 2 years later went down to 8. BangChan was a trainee for 7years prior to forming his group. Him and 3 other members, known as the 3Racha subunit of the group, writes their music and lyrics. BangChan is mostly the producer behind recordings, shows, etc... and always takes in advice from the other members. He literally is the dad of the group because he cares for each of them as his own kids (he is the oldest of the group). In some concerts, you can see him standing of to the side and look on with pride.
Y'all should check out Hallucination (I.N.) and Ultra (Changbin) from 2 other members. Songs are fire but the editing, transitions, coloring, direction and angles go crazyyy for them imo

(3RACHA was formed in 2016. HAN is the youngest in the trio and he was only 16 when 3RACHA was formed, Changbin is the second youngest and he was 17 , and BangChan is the oldest and he was 19) The whole group debut is March 25 2018, and it’s an 8 member group, formerly 9. Han and Changbin are amazing rappers. My daughters (who are also twins btw) introduced me to Stray Kids 5 years ago and I’ve been obsessed ever since. Stray Kids are K-pop supremacy, the best group out there in my opinion. In fact, I’d say they’re the best in the world, not just K-pop. They are influenced by so many different musical genres so their music is so unique. And I love the general message in most of their songs to be unapologetically yourself, don’t pay attention to your haters, and don’t let others dim your light.
Some suggestions to watch next are Walking on Water, Bounce Back, Giant, Chk Ck Boom,, Lalalala, S-Class, Thunderous, Zone, Maniac, Venom, Red Lights, Topline, 3racha, Super Board, God’s Menu, Back Door, District 9, Miroh, Victory Song, and Double Knot. About the cursing, their label doesn’t allow them to curse, but they have a few song where they play on words to do say.In Giant Bang Chan says “do re mi fa King Giant,” in Topline he says “we don’t give a” then the record stops and someone covers his mouth and they never say the actual word, in Super Bowl they say “dish so bussin” but fans always say the S word lol. In Comflex they say they don’t have S word, but they’re actually saying a Korean word that sounds like the S word, but it’s a play on words of course.They don’t cuss much that’s for sure

But it's a play on the word "No" (ani) in Korean because phonetically, they sound the same. Bang Chan plays a lot with Phonetics when blending Korean words and English words together in their lyrics. They do this in VENOM too.
About the MV, here is a theory i found from someone here on yt:
obviously he's fighting against himself-he had a dream and the passion to go after it, to the point it consumed him and took over his everything. He NEEDED to keep going, losing sleep to work, sacrificing himself to make others happy no matter how much they stepped over him to do so, or how much he'd have to step on others to make the dreams come true. Maybe he got a bit cocky and obsessed with the success of it all/with his need to be loved and accepted by fans (the minions he's creating in mv) and the chan at the end is him NOW-tired but accepting and telling himself to chill the fuck out and enjoy it all. Near the end, the video rewound to the beginning (2:12 of official mv), where "good but tired chan" (in white) stopped himself (the obsession fueled vampire) before he became a power hungry monster...... And he leaves him behind at the end-still alive and twitching on the floor-knowing that this darker part of himself will always be there, it will never go away. But he (good chan) will always be in control, and stronger than the insatiable desire and greed he has within himself. The prison where the mv is held is also his "mind". Literally trapped in his own brain-palace-prison, where the cycle and constant battle within himself repeats over and over and over again...
As Chan taught us it can have many interpretation as you want 😊 I like this theory so much

Chan left the interpretation of the MV to each viewer. My thoughts are Chan is the train (he is known to never sleep but to be constantly working) and the railway is life. The white figures are his demons/obsessions. Sometimes, he controls them, sometimes he slays them, and sometimes he feeds them. This leads to a "new" Chan who slays old self. But his eyes show even new Chan has demons. Hope you react to more Stray Kids!

It’s cracking me up that this was the first Stray Kids song you discovered. He’s the leader of Stray Kids, an 8 member group. Pretty much all 8 of them can dance, sing, and rap. They’ve debuted in 2018 and the leader, Bang Chan had been a trainee with JYP for 7 years so he tried something different and had Chan choose who the members would be. They’ve had a show about it called Stray Kids (named after them). There is a main rap line: changbin, Han, Hyunjin, and Felix. The main vocal line is Seungmin, I.N, Lee Know, and Bang Chan. Changbin and Han those 2 with the leader, Bang Chan, make up the production and main songwriting sub unit called 3Ratcha. Since they do their own writing and producing, their songs often combine or even sometimes defy genres. The main 3 dancers (Dance Ratcha) are Lee Know, Hyunjin, and Felix. The Vocal Racha sub unit is Seungmin and I.N. But there are songs where all 8 of them sing too.
This song is from the Hop album where they released 4 group songs and each of them released a solo song. This is such an amazing song. He’s usually such a sweet guy but every so often you see a little spice like in this one.
The thing is where they usually give the inspiration behind them, he refuses to give anything other than “trains.” I feel like there’s the immortality, creating a legacy, but keeping themselves or himself in check. He won’t let himself become a monster and that could mean with this new contract and popularity, their fame, letting too much go to their heads as they move forward. They’ve been hungry this whole journey from trainee to now. With the avidness of their fans and the competitive atmosphere between not only the groups (many of which he’s friends with and respects) but also the companies themselves. But also he could be just wanting to delve into the darker aspects of any lore and it might not be related to them at all. That seems less likely.

At the end you see Hunter Chan walk away in the distance but in the foreground you see Vamp Chan’s feet sticking up and him grunting. So he’s not dead but he’s staked down or possibly dying but I don’t think so. Like maybe he escapes sometimes and he needs to be restrained occasionally. That could represent so much.
Great synopsis! BangChan has given interviews where he explained this is his perfectionism and drive that really comes out at night and is hard to control. It's taken him to some bad places, and it can damage his relationships with others, so he thinks of it as a monster. The "train never sleeps" part is that bit of personality that is always pushing to be more, better, more accomplished, etc. It's always there.

This is bangchan from a very very very well known k-pop group, bangchan is the leader of the group actually, they went through some pretty hard times trying to debut, ( search: stray kids survival show ) for the vid. And it WILL make you cry on the 9th episode.. and the 4th.. but anyway, their group name is stray kids, skz for short, they debuted in 2018, they where all under 20 exept bangchan i think, their fandom ( fans ) are called stays, ( im a stay ) new stays are called, baby stays. There’s 8 members total, used to be 9, but the ninth member left do to personal reasons. The maknae ( youngest ) is jeongin. The oldest in the leader, bangchan.

Their a great team! They deserve a lot for all the hate they got in the past, death threats to hyunjin and Felix, hating on bangchan for letting the 9th member go, hyunjin had to go on a break from the group because of being bullied at school. And lots more, 3 members got in a crash and got hurt and had to skip a concer and some stays called them lazy or smth like that.

Bang Chan insists the song is about trains and K-Pop doesn't allow idol males and females to mix, so the solution for such dodgy lyrics is to go vampire. Makes total sense (what the...huh???).

I put together what I think Chan's song is about and ran it by numerous people on the groups on facebook. Seems to be a liked interpretation. Here it is if you would like to read it ❤
The interpretation of the mv and song I got was, it is about his obsession to overwork and not sleep. Just like Red Lights, also why you have a lot of red, to reference to red lights, could be to stop, could be a warning. We do know Chan likes to reference his issue with work obsession, as he did in Red lights. Here he is Vampire Chan(as per Chan) to start and he goes around turning people into himself, basically overworked Zombies...In Vampire lore if you drink the blood of a Vampire, he becomes your master. Which we see in the MV. So then enter 2nd Chan(good Chan) with the white eye on the other side. He comes in to stop obsessed Chan. He kills him and then goes to leave, but grabs his jacket. (You know he kills him because at the end you hear the zombie/vampires eating him and you see his shoes) Thus starting the cycle over again. Where he wakes up starving, for his work, he tried to be good and not obsessed...but he is what he is....and goes through it all over again.
That is why it starts the same way it ends, with Chan being blown backwards. Channie has always said one thing he doesn't like is how obsessed he is and how he doesn't sleep but he can't stop. Tunnel vision, when he gets into producing he gets tunnel vision...this train never sleeps....wow....I thought this song was going one way but it went off another way.
He also said he wasn't going to explain it and people can pull whatever they want out of it. 😊
He made it so others could see themselves and how they obsess and get into cycles. For him it is his music, overworking and not sleeping...for others it may be something else. They are trapped in that yard trying to get out...with illusions of being free because there is sun, but there is barbed wire and even though they are outside, they are not free. (Trapped in his mind)
His baby in this, is his music. This train never sleeps as he is trying to finish the song but it is going to take a lot, so hold on tight and trust him. Need no breaks, no breaks....he can't stop until he is done. But doesn't he care about the casualties? Other people will suffer with being overworked but he can't help it because something is saying more please....the song isn't perfect, he needs to make it perfect. It is safe when it's just you and me (him and the song, so he doesn’t overwork those around him and have others obsessing too. It is only him getting hurt.) Railway, from one destination to another. From one song to another. It just keeps going, even when you finish one stop, there is another. At first I didn't think this mv or song fit together...but it actually does.
The evil deed always returning to the one who committed it(what the sign reads)....he believes he hurts those around him with his obsession, (seeing himself as a sort of monster that hurts others) so in the end he is cursed to starts the vicious cycle again. Him being hurt with overworked obessession all because he put that on others, it comes back to him...He always puts such deep things in his songs. I do like that it took a different turn than I thought.

You just opened a can of worms with this guy. Look at his group, Stray Kids. They were the first "experimental" kpop group where BangChan was able to hand pick each of his members, and they had to compete to stay. They were originally 9 members, then 2 years later went down to 8. BangChan was a trainee for 7years prior to forming his group. Him and 3 other members, known as the 3Racha subunit of the group, writes their music and lyrics. BangChan is mostly the producer behind recordings, shows, etc... and always takes in advice from the other members. He literally is the dad of the group because he cares for each of them as his own kids (he is the oldest of the group). In some concerts, you can see him standing of to the side and look on with pride.
