I have been waiting for this!! As much as I love Youth with my whole being, Railway is just it's OWN BREED!! The MV is seriously NOT what I was expecting, but it was EVERYTHING I have ever NEEDED and more...both songs are so amazing in their own ways, and I'm so happy SKZ decided to share another part of their musical talent with us!
Yes, Chan confirmed hes a vampire awhile ago. It's inspired by Dracula. The first sign (before it switches to english) is in Romanian (Dracula reference) and says My castle is a dark place. Been in love with Railway since Chan first performed it. My fav solo.

what makes Youth so much better is all the dancers are his friends. Youth is definitely my favorite MV & song, Lee Know the actor & visual 🥰 it really brings it all together especially along with hearing his voice in the studio version 😂❤ Railway just as a song is one of my favs, it doesn’t have to be a ‘sexy’ song but i hope Chan does more of this style, as it’s one of my fav styles of music. ❤️

I adore Youth, I have had that song popping up in my head several times a day because of how catchy it is and how relatable. It gives you a burst of energy and self-confidence at the same time. And the MV is the perfect fit for it! I will never get tired of it. For Railways I am really not into the creatures of the night concept. Always found it meh at best (and as someone who is ace it has zero effect on me lol) however that MV is a freaking masterpiece and it deserves to be as hyped as possible because just wow, the color palette, the camera work, the effects, the acting, the ending!! While I will not watch it a lot compared to others you can bet I will be streaming it so that Bangchan’s talent finally gets the recognition he deserves as an artistic genius. the way chan drags the chair at the end is the start of his performance on stage which is so fire this mv is a visual explanation of his work drive and how when it is started he cant just stop until he has feed his greed i guess but the the chan in white is what i guess is his subconsious telling him to calm and reigns him in to take a break cause i guess during his solo how he falls at the end is what kinda says that the white chan no longer can tame the work chan and makes the cycle start over again these two personalities id like to call them yin and yang ........ chan being yin(the one in white) and chris being yang (the vampire one) Another thing at the start it seemed like chris was having a dream which caused his work drive to kickstart ( in this cause his need to keep working and be perfect which is why i guess he went on a rampage but that stampeed eventually dies out which in ths case could lead to christopher chan having been mentally tired and overworked which isnt good so yeah but on a last note youth is such a vibe lee know looks absolutely adorable sorry for the long comment just wanted to tell my perspective on how i see the mv😀😘☺🤓😋 congratulations to skz for realeasing such a fire album and all the one previous❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤍🥳
I was wondering what the prisoners signified in Railway. When they were reaching out to Chan I thought about the temptations you have when you’re feeling out of control. And then Chan spitting into their mouth meant he was feeding into those temptations, surrounding himself with his vices. Sometimes those vices make you feel like you have a sense of false power, like the “train” of prisoners he had until the other Chan comes into to kill his out of control self. Another comment talked about how Chan has scratches on him during his live shows. I’m sure those signify the consequences of his vices. Knowing that Chan is a perfectionist and an insomniac, those scratches could mean stress and exhaustion as a result of staying up late and working too much.
I don't know if someone mentioned it before but people are angry bc the ending of the Youth MV was different and then they made changes after it was already posted, not only taking away part of the outro but also the credits to everyone who worked on it. idk if any actual scenes have been changed in the MV but honestly I'm a little mad too. The changes they did weren't even neccesary. The thing they had to fix? They could've done it without taking away a part of the original video.
It's so sad and the big impact is that it effects his view rates and had huge losses. So sad LeeKnow is mostly on the short end of the stick... I remamber his dance scenes that were cut in MVs as well. Anyway... still supporting hard.

Railway MV was so good! Vampire Chan represents his workaholic side that drives off the power of control and the one in white comes to "repress" it, but he still ends up taking Vampire Chan's jacket signifying a re-occuring cycle. (P.S love u guys ❤😊)
I read some Stay interpretation of Railway and alot of it kinda made sense. Chan has two sides always at war inside him. As the dark side he's giving, giving, giving to fans, the kids, the industry etc (thus the line this train never sleeps, as he's stated he spends so much time writing producing etc) as the light side he puts the dark side more under control and tries to find the balance to give but with boundaries. But when he picks up the coat and drags the chair into the dark it's a metaphor stating the dark side may/will return. Also from what I've seen the white outfit and the chair are exactly what he's wearing and using in the stage performance. I wish I could say I thought of this explanation but I was too 😮 to even string words together. The two sides of himself is also represented as you pointed out by the white eye changing sides, dark Chan has a white left eye while light Chan has a white right eye, two sides of one person! Hopefully this is written coherently as it's after midnight and I just got off an 11 hour day. I did not expect this concept or a vampire Chan but as a huge vampire fan I'm here for it. I also saw a funny comment somewhere that said Chan did in 3min 18sec what twilight couldn't do in 5 movies lol (Twihards don't come for me I'm a Twihard too) overall amazing and he absolutely deserves an acting award for this. Phenomenal and I still say Chan not enough grass in the world especially after this ❤❤❤❤😊

It's the immediate pause as soon as Chan came on screen lmaooo! I adored the dark concept for Chan because he suits it so well!! He got to take control and show us his freaky side lol. I really loved the sign saying "The evil deeds you commit will always come back to the person who committed them" forshadowing what happens to dark Chan at the end. There's also a theory that it's his battle with himself and constantly working and putting pressure on himself. So at night, he's dark and may not see clearly. The light version "kills" the nightly cycle just for the day, but it continues round and round. Also, the song is absolutely about Tori being scarier than Thomas the Train.
It feels like the fight between the good and bad side. As you said, the white eye was mirrored between the two. He starts off as the dark Chan and feeds on the 'prisoners' (they feed off the faceless haters?) and feeding them his 'blood' to turn them (turning them from being haters?) The red lasers would also seem to indicate snipers he is dodging. Then he ends up facing the light Chan and is beaten. (Chan suppressing his dark side?) But he takes the jacket with him, meaning he still has a bit of the dark seeping through. Always ready to break out. NOVVKIM always produces spectacular MVs. Youth should actually be watched after Railway to 'lighten' the mood. A palate-cleanser😁
still so mad at div1/one label for editing leeknow's mv right when the numbers started flowing (editing makes the views freeze and makes it harder for engagement) just because they made a typo for their label at the end credits calling it one lable 😐 everyone on twitter was specifically praising them for crediting everyone involved, even the cleaning staff, AND OF COURSE they deleted it. i wonder why they also had to edit out the fun U on the bingo card at the end, it was so cute :( a lot of stays think it's sabotage since they did the same back then with his first player i believe, which is something they haven't done for the group or any other member before :/ but who knows..
Not sure about Div1, but for JYPE artists in general, similar things (editing a released MV) happened with at least TWICE and NMIXX too. For NMIXX it was the pre-release MV for their first major comeback (1st EP) 💀
I think Chan is amazing. The mv is connected to the concert performance. The ending of mv is the beginning of the performance and Chan lie down at the end of the performance is the beginning of the mv.

The people in the video would be the representation of the haters, Bang Chan dressed in black represents his emotions and how he would like to "answer" them, while Bang Chan in white represents his rational side and shows that he keeps this other side of him locked up

For me this MV is like yin and yang fighting each other: dark version is chaos, enjoying the power what fame gives it, but also taking advantage of it, crushing everybody on the way to the top and also making people to obey him. In the end white representing his good side (solidity) taking that control back. But the circle goes on and on, because in the end, he can't completely kill his dark side, because that chaos the dark side represents is the factory which keeps him going towards everything he ever wants in life. And to completely different topic, just an idea: can we PLEASE see actor debut from Chan when other members go to army, just please? Mafia boss? Something supernatural related?
Me after watching Railway: well apropos of nothing I'm excited to see Nosferatu this weekend I do think that the Railway lyrics could have multiple meaning just like Res Lights. If Chan is talking about himself and his work, "this train never sleeps" makes sense
I’ve left this on a couple of reactions of railway, and will share it here as well because I’m too lazy to type it out again lolll BUT FIRST: y’all’s reaction was perfection! I was so excited to see what you’d think of both the MVs and I was not disappointed! I’m just sad I was sleeping when it was first uploaded lol. You cannot listen to YOUTH without forming a massive smile on your face-god I love Lee know 🥹 Now onto my theory for the RAILWAY MV: obviously he’s fighting against himself-he had a dream and the passion to go after it, to the point it consumed him and took over his everything. He NEEDED to keep going, losing sleep to work, sacrificing himself to make others happy no matter how much they stepped over him to do so, or how much he’d have to step on others to make the dreams come true. Maybe he got a bit cocky and obsessed with the success of it all/with his need to be loved and accepted by fans, and/or his constant need for control (aka the minions he’s creating in mv) and the chan at the end is him NOW-tired but accepting and telling himself to chill the fuck out and enjoy it all. Near the end, the video rewound to the beginning (2:12 of official mv), where “good but tired chan” (in white) stopped himself (the obsession fueled vampire) before he became a power hungry monster…… And he leaves him behind at the end-still alive and twitching on the floor-knowing that this darker part of himself will always be there, it will never go away. But he (good chan) will always be in control, and stronger than the insatiable desire and greed he has within himself. The prison where the mv is held is also his “mind”. Literally trapped in his own brain-palace-prison, where the cycle and constant battle within himself repeats over and over and over again… My song theory is: What if the lyrics are about an always approaching burn out? and his constant warring with himself over his perfectionism vs expectations? ie: “This train never sleeps.” “Don’t you care about the casualties.” “It’s safe when it’s just you and me.” “It’s only us but somethings saying “more please” 🤔 it’s an inner struggle. All of the songs and mvs are amazing, but there's something just so different about Railway that draws me in. Well, this mv was surprisingly violent. 😂 I loved it and my favourite shot was the slo mo shot. The eye made me think of Marilyn Manson though.

Railway MV was so good! Vampire Chan represents his workaholic side that drives off the power of control and the one in white comes to "repress" it, but he still ends up taking Vampire Chan's jacket signifying a re-occuring cycle. (P.S love u guys ❤😊)

I read some Stay interpretation of Railway and alot of it kinda made sense. Chan has two sides always at war inside him. As the dark side he's giving, giving, giving to fans, the kids, the industry etc (thus the line this train never sleeps, as he's stated he spends so much time writing producing etc) as the light side he puts the dark side more under control and tries to find the balance to give but with boundaries. But when he picks up the coat and drags the chair into the dark it's a metaphor stating the dark side may/will return. Also from what I've seen the white outfit and the chair are exactly what he's wearing and using in the stage performance. I wish I could say I thought of this explanation but I was too 😮 to even string words together. The two sides of himself is also represented as you pointed out by the white eye changing sides, dark Chan has a white left eye while light Chan has a white right eye, two sides of one person! Hopefully this is written coherently as it's after midnight and I just got off an 11 hour day. I did not expect this concept or a vampire Chan but as a huge vampire fan I'm here for it. I also saw a funny comment somewhere that said Chan did in 3min 18sec what twilight couldn't do in 5 movies lol (Twihards don't come for me I'm a Twihard too) overall amazing and he absolutely deserves an acting award for this. Phenomenal and I still say Chan not enough grass in the world especially after this ❤❤❤❤😊

It's the immediate pause as soon as Chan came on screen lmaooo! I adored the dark concept for Chan because he suits it so well!! He got to take control and show us his freaky side lol. I really loved the sign saying "The evil deeds you commit will always come back to the person who committed them" forshadowing what happens to dark Chan at the end. There's also a theory that it's his battle with himself and constantly working and putting pressure on himself. So at night, he's dark and may not see clearly. The light version "kills" the nightly cycle just for the day, but it continues round and round.
Also, the song is absolutely about Tori being scarier than Thomas the Train.
It feels like the fight between the good and bad side. As you said, the white eye was mirrored between the two. He starts off as the dark Chan and feeds on the 'prisoners' (they feed off the faceless haters?) and feeding them his 'blood' to turn them (turning them from being haters?) The red lasers would also seem to indicate snipers he is dodging. Then he ends up facing the light Chan and is beaten. (Chan suppressing his dark side?) But he takes the jacket with him, meaning he still has a bit of the dark seeping through. Always ready to break out. NOVVKIM always produces spectacular MVs.
Youth should actually be watched after Railway to 'lighten' the mood. A palate-cleanser😁
still so mad at div1/one label for editing leeknow's mv right when the numbers started flowing (editing makes the views freeze and makes it harder for engagement) just because they made a typo for their label at the end credits calling it one lable 😐 everyone on twitter was specifically praising them for crediting everyone involved, even the cleaning staff, AND OF COURSE they deleted it. i wonder why they also had to edit out the fun U on the bingo card at the end, it was so cute :( a lot of stays think it's sabotage since they did the same back then with his first player i believe, which is something they haven't done for the group or any other member before :/ but who knows..
Not sure about Div1, but for JYPE artists in general, similar things (editing a released MV) happened with at least TWICE and NMIXX too. For NMIXX it was the pre-release MV for their first major comeback (1st EP) 💀
I think Chan is amazing. The mv is connected to the concert performance. The ending of mv is the beginning of the performance and Chan lie down at the end of the performance is the beginning of the mv.

I saw a theory on Twitter about Bang Chan's MV and I found it quite interesting. The people in the video would be the representation of the haters, Bang Chan dressed in black represents his emotions and how he would like to "answer" them, while Bang Chan in white represents his rational side and shows that he keeps this other side of him locked up

For me this MV is like yin and yang fighting each other: dark version is chaos, enjoying the power what fame gives it, but also taking advantage of it, crushing everybody on the way to the top and also making people to obey him. In the end white representing his good side (solidity) taking that control back. But the circle goes on and on, because in the end, he can't completely kill his dark side, because that chaos the dark side represents is the factory which keeps him going towards everything he ever wants in life.

Now onto my theory for the RAILWAY MV: obviously he’s fighting against himself-he had a dream and the passion to go after it, to the point it consumed him and took over his everything. He NEEDED to keep going, losing sleep to work, sacrificing himself to make others happy no matter how much they stepped over him to do so, or how much he’d have to step on others to make the dreams come true. Maybe he got a bit cocky and obsessed with the success of it all/with his need to be loved and accepted by fans, and/or his constant need for control (aka the minions he’s creating in mv) and the chan at the end is him NOW-tired but accepting and telling himself to chill the fuck out and enjoy it all. Near the end, the video rewound to the beginning (2:12 of official mv), where “good but tired chan” (in white) stopped himself (the obsession fueled vampire) before he became a power hungry monster…… And he leaves him behind at the end-still alive and twitching on the floor-knowing that this darker part of himself will always be there, it will never go away. But he (good chan) will always be in control, and stronger than the insatiable desire and greed he has within himself. The prison where the mv is held is also his “mind”. Literally trapped in his own brain-palace-prison, where the cycle and constant battle within himself repeats over and over and over again…
My song theory is: What if the lyrics are about an always approaching burn out? and his constant warring with himself over his perfectionism vs expectations?
ie: “This train never sleeps.” “Don’t you care about the casualties.” “It’s safe when it’s just you and me.” “It’s only us but somethings saying “more please” 🤔 it’s an inner struggle.

I dont know about you guys, but the Railway mv has been on repeat since it came out. Im OBSESSEDDD. All of the songs and mvs are amazing, but there's something just so different about Railway that draws me in. The concept of the mv itself alongside the R&B style of the actual song is just right up my alley. Chris is a musical genius!
