Let me answer you in as impartial a manner as possible. I'm Italian and live in London. In my 15 years of living outside of Italy, I can say that I've probably eaten less than 10 doughnuts. But - I got to taste doughnut time doughnuts for the first time last week - purely driven to the shop seeing all the amazingly decorated doughnuts in the window. I can say without a shadow of a doubt, they are the most delicious doughnuts I've tried anywhere. I've had Krispy Kreme and they're just sickly sweet and lack very little individual flavour. The Sia Later doughnut from doughnut time is incredible and so is the biscoff. To answer your questions - yes, they expensive. £4.50 in London for one. But as they just any doughnut? Absolutely not. They are the Maserati of doughnuts.
They went into Liquidation in 2018 - not sure what their current status is.

I remember trying that brand and their were pretty bad and really expensive! Didn't know they had over 30 stores!
Was the price ever mentioned? It would cost 70.00 for a dozen. They do not taste any better than any other premium doughnut.
