Russ, as always awesome. I can tell you when conducting S.A.R.'s (Search and Rescue Missions) missions I use either black hot or what hot on the thermal imaging. It makes it a lot easier to spot a person still very hard but easier then confusing your eyes and brain with those harsh colors.

Been doing visual inspection and non-destructive testing for the last 19 years and just got into the drone scene. I've only got a DJI mini2 and DJI FPV but would love to add this to the collection. I can see where this would be a very valuable addition to the inspection side. Especially if I decide to branch out on my own, pending I can ever afford it (the drone that is). Great video, love the series.

This isn't really the place for humour, but I couldn't resist after you mentioned how it fits in a backpack. I can assure you, if you really want it to, the M600 does actually fit in a backpack! If you don't believe me, send me one and I'll meet you for it's inaugural flight! These lot are emergency workers, not geeks, I'll get that thing up the hill in pieces, and still fly it!

Russ, I think the M30T is a beautiful package for inspection work. Espically in the oil and gas industry here in the Bakken it would be wonderful for thermal inspections but I wonder how it will integrate with Drone Deploy or Pix4D, or if the SDK is being worked on for those software platforms. I truly wish I had 15K to put toward preorder of one but it's just out of my pricerange at the moment for a small growing drone service provider. I'm looking forward to the day when I can snag one myself.

I would be interested in knowing what the max weight of being able to lift. We have a drop system for our Mavic Enterprise we use to drop a PFD or rope to say a person in a swift water rescue situation. I was just wondering if it would be able to lift and drop, say, a bag of rope or say rope equipment for high angle rescue.

that thermal camera view looks very different. wonder if there would be a way to put into white hot? that might have made it easier to see?
i would love to have one of these drones in case ever needed up here. i live on Lake Temagami, in northern Ontario. As we have many tourist camps here, with some even having 11-2 week programs for young kids, the eventual chances of having a missing child in the woods here is very real.
this could also be beneficial to looking for hot spots in the forest around lighting strikes after a storm.
anyways, i enjoy your videos as always.
take care for now, until later.

Can we do mapping, like creating missions, routes when we do surveying in a random area?
I mean when we choose a random area to do mapping we create a mission with overlapping routes at 80% as the drone does the job itself like taking photos of that area, so we can do the post processing job.
Could we used that concept, I mean the idea of doing a mapping mission in a pre planned random area, for Searching & Rescuing???… instead of mapping/ surveying??
I mean do the searches and rescues in a big random areas, as pre planned missions with routes as overlapping 80% with videos, instead of taking photos?? like when we do missions/ routes for mapping!!??
Although even if we have enough drones in a search mission, I guess taking photos wouldn’t hurt either, but my big question is please…
Can we do planning missions for mapping/ surveying a random area?…I mean the photogrammetry, like 2D, 3D mosaic( post processing data) with this drone?

I have written this as a comment earlier on your showing of the drone 2022-03-21 but just as relevant to be able to evaluate the cameras.
A test of all the cameras on the M30T would have been very interesting for everyone. For example, setting up the drone on a table 100 m (328 feet) from a brick wall with a rough structure so you can see the sharpness. Then mark out how large an area the different cameras capture. With a male figure (picture) there and a 1 inch large figure. The zoom lens can be set to wide angle, full optical zoom, 40 X zoom, 100 X zoom, and 200 X zoom. So you can study the sharpness of each Zoom and the sharpness and coverage area of the other cameras. By standing on a table, you eliminate motion blur by the drone flying. You can also see distortion and other lens defects in the image of the masonry. I think it would be very instructive to assess the capacity of the cameras and appreciated by all.
A comparison with drone images in the control and a photo be good. What does the image look like at 200 X in zoom. Is it only zoomed in on the control display or is the image on the memory card also zoomed in
Would have been valuable to see if it's worth investing the big bucks in an M30T.

      IP classes
      The first digit
The first number (penetration of solid objects) is indicated by a value from zero to six which indicates how tight a housing is. The number zero means that it is completely unprotected, while the number six means that the enclosure is dustproof.
0 - No protection against solid objects.
1 - Protection against penetration of solid objects larger than 50 millimeters.
2 - Protection against penetration of solid objects larger than 12 millimeters.
3 - Protection against penetration of solid objects larger than 2.5 millimeters.
4 - Protection against penetration of solid objects larger than 1 millimeter.
      5 - Dust protected.
      6 - Dustproof.
      Second digit
The second number (water penetration) is given with a value from zero to nine and tells how well a enclosure resists water. The number zero means that it has no protection against water at all and the number eight means that it can be immersed in water without being damaged or becoming dangerous.
0 - No protection against water.
1 - Protected against dripping water.
2 - Protected against dripping water. The product must not tilt more than a maximum of 15 degrees from the normal angle.
3 - Protected against splashing water. Maximum angle is 60 degrees.
4 - Protected against splashing water from all angles.
5 - Protected against flushing water from nozzle.
6 - Protected against severe flooding of water.
7 - Can be immersed temporarily in water without damage.
8 - Suitable for prolonged immersion in water, according to the manufacturer's instructions.
9 - Protected against hot water with high pressure.
So the last IP digit must be at least 7 but preferably 8, not 5 that the M30T has
      But there are solutions:

Seems like it's a long way before they could replace helicopters for searching

Russ I just recently ordered the M30T upgrading from the M3T. I have watched nearly every video i can find but all that memtioned SetUp there is NO mention or steps to perform an initial compass calibration. Does the M30T not require an initial compass calibration? After 13 years of flying i cant imagine any drone not requiring this. Can you please expand upon this. Also off topic. I want to extend my prayers for your wife, your family and may that he wrap your family in peace, strength and health, being that he is the ultimate physician and I ask that he heal your wife in the name of Jesus Christ while providing you and your family with comfort. I ask these things in Jesus name, Amen.

Thank you sir! In my time with the M30T, I never had to calibrate the compass, nor did it ask me to. I had it for about 3 months. As you mention, I'm guessing it probably requires it at some time, but maybe it doesn't require it as often as other drones?

@51Drones so the days of the immediate compass calibration upon initial setup is over at least with this aircraft unless it specifically asks for one?

Nervous to see how badly the police abuse this level of technology on private property of law-abiding citizens.

If they are law abiding, police aren’t looking for them. You also do not own the airspace above your property. Invest in curtains if you are worried.
