I love the sheer difference between Wily and Light’s themes. Wily’s seems to be dark and sinister, yet methodical just like him. While Light’s seems to be more bright and cheerful just like him as well. Really nice detail!

I differ a lot. The saga is called ''Rockman'' originally because of rock, which is influenced by its first video games, where several tracks have more than similarities with rock songs from that time. However, here, the saga takes a more electronic direction.

The game is among the best. As good as MM2 and 3 (ok, almost as good). But the soundtrack will never be anywhere near as good as MM2 and 3. I sure hope they make other games like MM 11 but have cool adictive sountracks like the 2 and 3.

It has some catchy tunes, but it doesnt go hard like the previous games. The synthesizer is overplayed and sometimes feels too kiddy. The best classic music has tunes you can hum distinctive notes or can jam out to.

I love this game, I just wish I enjoyed the Mega Man series more, I don't like the way he moves is all. (But the music makes up for the trashy gameplay mechanics)
I'm not a huge fan of this OST. IMO, the SNES megaman games made a better rendition of what megaman should sound like when released from its 8-bit restrictions. This synth-heavy soundtrack kinda sounds like that Megaman Battle Network for Gamecube, which is also very poor IMO
You're thinking of the Megaman X series. This is the mainline MM series. While of course it's all subjective, the general idea is that the MMX games have deeper, darker themes. The stories are a little more dystopian, and the enemies are a little more evil. The music is likewise more mature and so they went with the synth/rock style. The MM main game series is supposed to be more playful and lighthearted, and I think this soundtrack captures that perfectly while maintaining the chippy 8-bit melodies of most of the earlier works in the series.

I'm still not complaining about how megaman network transmission music like really sound. This however sounds more classic than a battle network music but only sounded like a fan remix. Yes i get it the composer is from megaman starforce but so is megaman and bass having a composer from megaman battle network. Probably the only issue you have with this games ost is the sound font. Someone did demake this games music and that basically proves the composition itself is not that bad.

All other tracks sound more or less the same, pretty much like your average spinning class background music. It's sad to think that some younger players will think that this is the standard for Mega Man music. Otherwise a good game, but I really hope Capcom will raise the bar for the music for the next installment.
