@@JohnSmith-bs9ym Thats correct but aside from that life drain sword in act 2 there is not really any weapon that you would like to have in your offhand as a statstick until act 3 and by that time you`ll have access to the deadshot already and wont be needing the str no more. So the club is an excellent choice until act 3 and in case you dont want to abuse str elixirs.
@@georgiigoldenblank1180 exactly, the howl point was to dual wield the knife of the undermountain king and the club until you get the Deadshot. After that you can exchange the club for another crit stat stick because there's no need for str anymore.
If you give up on alert, you can take 1 level dip into war cleric, this gives you tons of stuff. But the main one is, 3 times per long rest, you can attack as a bonus action. Getting to use that with your volley i'd imagine would be really strong. Sure its only 3 times per long rest. But this game loads you with camp supplies so long rests aren't hard to acquire.
This build goes really really well with the Punch Drunk Bastard, especially since you have so many damage instances. Tippler's Rage adds a 10ft AoE 1d4 Thunder damage to all of the character's non-Thunder damage and with Volley + extra damage types you can get multiple overlapping procs for over a hundred extra damage with enough enemies in the AoE. I haven't tried it since 3.0 but during 2.0 with Lightning Charges and the Callous Glow Ring you could one-shot Steel Watchers as long as there was one other guard in the AoE since they created a circular damage loop. I think the Lightning Charges patch might have fixed this though.
If you use Titanstring longbowduring first act, you can also benefit from dualwielding Club of hill giant strength alongside undermountain king knife to setstrength to 19 and spend more points in wisdom.
Love your builds, thank you for the effort you put into these. I had a lot of fun with your pathfinder wotr builds and been trying your BG3 ones. Any chance you will be doing a melee duel wield build? So many neat effect swords in the game would love to try one. Or a poison-mancer since there seems to be synergy gear with that?
My Transmutation hireling has 2 lvls of Wizard (rest in bard with ASI in Wis for 10+ Medicine so with guidance [and shapeshifters boon ring if you have it] she always crafts 2 of the alchemy items ) Anyhow being a wizard she can easily learn Darkvision spell from the scroll and you don't care about her spell slots - and buff companions/Tav that doesn't have it - ez pz (I'm saying her because best choice is Brianna the Halfling hireling because of Lucky trait)
FYI. Since your video is ultra wide due to your config, it is harder to read any content on TVs 16:9. I suggest you zoom on texts you want us to read. Not sure if the game has some font thing. I play via steam link PC with controls 1440p 16:9 I can read everything.
Awesome build but just something, you can have 20 STR and also 20 DEX if you use grenaude + mirror of loss and use ability improvement for STR or DEX depend what you want up with mirror :p
I'm surprised we don't hear more about Rangers. As far as straight class builds, they are not only versatile, but powerful. Any way you build them, they benefit strongly from a single level of cleric (using the "light" or "war" domain), single level of Rogue, single level of Fighter, or even single level of wizard. You'll miss out on that last feat, but the benefits are worth it, especially with a light domain cleric. If you do multi-class, make sure to only take a single level of something else. Rangers get the best stuff at level 11.
@MonkeyMind69 He always gets about 3 attacks in and each one usually does max damage so I use him as my sniper. I just wish you could pick up more of a range of bows in act 1
The jump spell is broken with this kind of build, with 16+ str and 3x jump range you can fly over the map and position yourself with advantage in place you could only reach with fly or misty step (or similar). It's a must IMO.
Using a Sword Bard/Hunter Ranger build. Since Hordebreaker comes online at level 3, the main choice is between Ranger 3/Bard 9 and Ranger 4 / Bard 8 depending on if you want 3 feats or lvl 5 Bard spells. For stats and items that matter... Titanstring Bow with either Elixirs or Club of Hill Giant Strength to dump str. Max both Dex and Cha, then wear Diadem of Arcane Synergy to get 3 stats to damage. Everything else is dependent on gear synergies you want to use. Though in act 3 you can get the Duke's sword that grants +2 Cha to boost damage even more.
I don't care for focusing so much on crit, since it only doubles dice and not flat damage. So stacking more flat damage is much more consistent, especially early/mid game.
The weapon effect is great and building around it is fun, but ultimately only because it’s bugged. Why should he spend time and effort into something that might as well be patched tomorrow?
Don't forget to drink the Oblodra strength potion in Moonrise Tower (Bring Astarion and make him bite her) for +2 permanent Strength (It will help you with Titan Bow)
Look into Monk or give it a try, 16 dex 14 con 16 wis. They have great mobility. Open Hand at level 3 is a power house, and they require almost no gear for act 1
Hunter still has access to Horde Break for 1 extra Attack/turn. I won't deny the other bonuses are rather poor until level 11, but I have already done multiple builds that go with Fighter/Swords Bard/Thief for Dual Wield XBows. I wanted a build that went Hunter for once, as I've already done Gloomstalker combos and for Beast Master I'm preparing a guide fully focused into it.

Branding Smite can be used ranged - for the zariel tiefling
In order to utilize Bhaalist Armor, you will probably need the character who wields this to have a huge initiative as well.
Yes, thankfully around 980 of my builds have high INI😃 , especially my Shadowheart Tank which is the one I used for this party.

Aside from the horrible WIS saves, this is fine.
Had a similar build, but sacrificed Volley to multiclassed to Champion for max crit.
Thankfully INI is so high that casters will barely be able to target our WILL!

How do you get so many enchantments on your weapons? That deadshot has a +2, +3, and +1
Magic Weapon and Elemental Weapon spell enchantments
Upcast Magic Weapon + Elemental Weapon from Drakethroat Glaive buff!

You can't have that much strength if your character is the talker, so you the Titanstring Bow does nothing for you if you to be the talker as well.

You didn't show what volley does.
Volley lets you hit a huge AoE with your main attack, and can be spammed at will, for as many Actions + Extra Attacks you have.

Eh it's an awesome Minsc build with a few equipment tweaks so it's not sucking up so much prime gear.
