You missed the amulet of silvanus in the druids grove. Next to the bear down by the river standing next to the fish is a flat rock you can sit on. You can also move it and find the amulet. It lest you cast lesser restoration.
For those that don’t know, you can get the ring from the cow in Act 1 without killing it. All you need is Find Familiar or a Pact of the Chain. It’s a little meta but if you hide your party in the little area by the hole in the Grove you can send a familiar up to attack the ox but not kill it. The ox will then kill the familiar but no one is aggro’d against your party. Then when you go to talk to the ox, he’ll ask for a gift to make up for your familiar attacking him. When his inventory comes up you can literally give him anything and then slide the ring to your inventory.
Found stealing the Idol for Mol much easier to do after the Grove has been saved. Tieflings are gathered by the entrance at this point. Cast fog cloud on the idol, use minor illusion if you want/need a distraction, sneak and grab it. You can even steal it back from Mol after the quest completes, she doesn’t even get mad, just impressed.
If you save Sazza from the Druid grove and convince Minthara not to kill her you also get a magic dagger called the Assassin’s Touch. Also next to Abidark in the Goblin camp where you can get the mace, he has a magic dagger and axe next to him as well. By the tortured prisoner in the goblin camp is a magic spear called the Jagged Spear. In the Druid Grove down by the elevator there is a small broken pillar you can take to a small beach area, under a stone there is an Amulet of Restoration that’s lets you cast lesser restoration. Also if you save Kahga from the shadow druids and convince her to see the errors of her ways she will give you a magic staff called the Pale Oak ONLY if you are a Druid. The greatsword you skipped and didn’t even show is called the Svartlebee’s Woundseeker and is actually great for early game melee characters who took the Great Weapon Fighting feat. In the Grimforge if you take the platforms across the upper gaps there is a grouping of demons and on one of the bodies is a hand crossbow that deals extra damage to burning targets called the Firestoker.
4:45 Actually you can simply just click on the shovel and dig the chest out regardless if you failed the checks or not on console. Succeeding on the check just means you don't have to do guess work on where the chest is at and can just dig it out right away, which usually if you're wandering the woods and you suddenly get a prompt to roll for Survival, most likely there is a buried chest like 5-10 feet from you.
Also at lest on PS5 if you hit square over the shovel you have the option to dig then it takes you out of your inventory with how it looks when you going to jump and select where you would like to dig
I love all the locations but the commentary just makes me feel like oc missed a ton of opportunities to explore experimenting with build/Party. Never seen so many A tier magical items so unceremoniously called useless before lol. Some may not deserve S tier but def deserve some love
Moondrop Pendant: Found at the owlbear cave if you bear left to the Selune shrine. It's inside the magically locked chest. Jump to the statue and behind it is a check to find a prayer sheet. Pick it up and read it in front of the chest. Easy money/Gale item.
You should pick up the chest of the mundane and add it to your inventory. It's amazing for wares because it does not gain weight. So you can put tons of stuff in it and never worry about encumbered again. It's literally a bag of holding with an annoying gimmick.
@@elvenringnot sure about its weight but you can for sure pick it up still. When i came to it on a play through this week i picked it up instead of opening.
For a fetal walrus that was a great video sir. Playing this as a kid at launch. I was waiting for a Saturday morning TV show. So underrated. Thanks for showing it some love and great quality video.
Think you forgot the ritual dagger on the table next to the Loviatar's priest in goblin camp. gives a bless buff on hit, or a special bonus action where you can damage yourself, pretty useful for spellcaster with an empty hand, i've found out
16:45 To understand the button, you need to find a grave which is west of the beach and south of the sussur tree where you get the bark. In the grave you'll find a collar, and when you wear it and go to the button you can press it and get seemingly unlimited meat.
Answer to your button question: You can dig up a grave where you encounter the monster that burrows under ground (I forget the name). In the grave is a dog collar. If you have it in your inventory and press the button it will dispense a piece of steak. Basically the wizard created a button that dispenses food for his dog that wears the collar…
A way of making the Everburn Blade even easier to get is if you have a Warlock as your Tav/Durge and cast Hex (Wisdom) on Commander Zhalk before Shadowheart casts Command. It boosts her chances of successfully getting him to drop it the first time around.
Unfortunately that doesn’t actually help, hex only effects ability checks while command and most other spells target saving throws, it’s why most guides recommend only casting strength hex because it makes it more likely your shoves will succeed as they roll against a strength (athletics) ability check
So you can get the ring from mol super easily. You have to save the child from the snake. Then either break into the hideout or go save the child from the harpies and he will tell you how to enter. After you've done that mol will offer you the quest. Next you need to go do the shadow druid quest. One thats done the ritual will stop and the druids will stop surrounding the idol. You have a limited time frame to do this because tieflings start walking on into the area but you can cast fog cloud or darkeness on the idol grab it and tp or go invisible. If you were in the cloud and get caught you sometimes can get a persuade check but its fairly high. Anyway bring mol the idol and boom you have the best defensive ring in the game. One last fyi. Don't do anything mean to the kids befor you get the quest or mol might not offer it to you.
Actually, you can encounter Roah the Zhentarim trader in act 2 and get some of the same items. She may even have some things that you sell her in act 1 still.
Don't "leave the cow alone". Just don't kill it. While solo, throw something at the cow, enter the children's cave, travel to grove travel point, run back to cow, talk to it, when game suggests bribing cow, switch window to Trade mode and buy the ring. Got ring and act 2 saved.
You can steal multiple hunters daggers from Moonglow in the shattered sanctum, I presume you can buy them as well. Just rest and she has another one. I like to have a ton of them to keep on my benchwarmers so at least they'll have something everybody can use with a +1
Nature's snare can be aquired simple by disarming and unlocking the chest. I would pick up the red barrels around it first and send them to your camp, just in case of failure. The staff has a fairly low saving throw so it's not a great weapon, in my opinion, it's best feature comes in it's 400gp value.
Adding this for those who don’t know. If you want to cheese hard fights plant chests or heavy items to over encumber them. IE reverse pick pocket. Use gloves of thievery, with smugglers ring. Have not failed once as would need to roll two nat ones. it’s +13 with all buffs assuming SH expertise so minimum 15 if not a nat 1. A note with recruiting Minthara in a good playthrough. To do it you have to get her into a temporary hostile state, this is done by stealing in front of her or assaulting another character in front of her. The time I succeeded I did this by killing the floating eye when it was in front of her. Do not attack her directly. Then you have to use non-lethal attacks which are melee only, spells or ranged attacks will kill her. This will put her in a temporary knocked out state. Which remains in effect until you long rest. So, you have to kill the other two leaders without doing that. But its best to go for her first than the priest or the hobgoblin. Going for the Hobgoblin first will make all character's hostile in the camp when killed including Minthara. Best to long rest after you have returned to the grove after dealing with them and celebrating with the Tieflings at your camp. The thing with doing this is that you don't get a romance scene with her, but I believe you can have a relationship with her if you get her affinity for your character high enough. She is also a super strong companion. Since she is a paladin.
Hey man u missed amulet of silvanus in the grove right before the really sad bear by the water there is a moveable rock right when u hit the sand moving to the bear from the druid circle
In case it wasn't already mentioned; astral sword of the silver plane can be command dropped by kithrak voss if you have a paladin/cleric with the spell command. It is up to the player whether or not they want Lae in this encounter but because of the possibility of her siding with the gith i personally left her at camp. There is a low chance the sword will be dropped by voss but the encounter becomes manageable if you can summon allies like shovel etc. before hand and put them nearby. the sword is a huge boon on lae'zel or if your character is a gith with the likelihood of getting in melee range with a 2 handed sword. it rivals and in some cases is better than its part 3 giantslayer counterpart.
I THINK you missed a necklace of Silvanus (?) it's under a rock you have to move in the grove, and it has a casting of lesser restoration on it. and a helm you get for helping the druids that heals you when you heal someone else. edit. I see you have an amulet of Silvanus equipped. maybe I missed it
Idk why would you choose to not show Svartlebee's Woundseeker and call it bad, instead of just showing it and letting people decide? I'm not gonna stand by this slander, i think this is one of the best weapons you can get in act 1 (legally, silver sword is of course better) for two handed GWM user. +1d4 to hit that stacks with bless is an incredible boost to accuracy to offset the -5. I found out about this sword on accident, and if you have a GWM user in the party it's totally worth for flaming fists near wokin's rest to have this little "accident". Not to mention the fight is pretty fun
Roah I think appears in Moonrise Towers in Act 2. She still carries those weapons. She is on the right when you walk through the first set of doors into the tower.
I have a strong need for an act 2 and act 3 video

@@elvenring yeah if you just stack up as much movement speed as you can and use step of the wind then you can proc that blast a LOT of times in one turn, and with callous glow ring and ring of absolute force it does especially good damage
There is a low chance the sword will be dropped by voss but the encounter becomes manageable if you can summon allies like shovel etc. before hand and put them nearby. the sword is a huge boon on lae'zel or if your character is a gith with the likelihood of getting in melee range with a 2 handed sword. it rivals and in some cases is better than its part 3 giantslayer counterpart.
lol wonderous gloves… if you know, you know 😆
4:45 yes you can manually dig on console
I THINK you missed a necklace of Silvanus (?) it's under a rock you have to move in the grove, and it has a casting of lesser restoration on it. and a helm you get for helping the druids that heals you when you heal someone else. edit. I see you have an amulet of Silvanus equipped. maybe I missed it
I totally just messed up the editing and forgot it...😅
Uhm console 100% percent can still dig up chests. You just have to open you character inventory and select dig with the shovel.
8 minutes in and the amount of stuff ive missed...lord i need to explore more💀
u missed the helldusk armor for killing raphael at your camp
its a 21 ac armor that monks can wear without any penalty
Gale’s gonna be eating good tonight
Blood of Lathlander clutched up for me in act 2. I had better weapons, but it’s perks and special ability was too good
It was definitely meant for Act 2!
Please tell me you have act 2 and 3 video
Digging manually when missing the survival skill check DEFINITELY works on console
4:50 you can actually do the shovel trick on console too
Please do act 2
console can shovel when they fail the save tho? I done it before.
There's also amulet of silvanus in druid grove by the beach:)
I even did the short for that one... 😭
You can shovel failed dirt mounds on PS5
I sold both parts of that spear in all my runs because I thought they were useless 😭
I'm on console and I assure you we have that luxury
20:11 😂
Button is to dispense dog food if you dig up the dogs grave outside 😂
lol “Hamarhraft not that good don’t worry”
The iron flask is sadly not very good I got it used it in the goblin stronghold and they bodied it
Yeah, the biw is much better, and most people miss out on it for curiousity reasons
For future reference, its pronounced Men-zo-barran-zan.
But how you have 2 staffs on the same run 😅
Which staff are you talking about? There are very few items that conflict with each other
Roah I think appears in Moonrise Towers in Act 2. She still carries those weapons. She is on the right when you walk through the first set of doors into the tower.
We can dig on console now
Wapira's crown?
Had to make an updated version of this, for whatever reason, the incomplete version did much better
