1. Skill assessment certification
a. Qualification Assessment: Have your qualifications assessed by the Australian Pharmacy Council (APC).
b. KAPS Exam: Pass the Knowledge Assessment of Pharmaceutical Sciences (KAPS) exam.
2. English Language Proficiency: Provide evidence of English language proficiency (IELTS or equivalent).
3. Internship: Complete a period of supervised practice (internship) in Australia.
4. Competency Examination: Intern oral and written examination.

KAPS Examination
The KAPS (Knowledge Assessment of Pharmaceutical Sciences) exam tests your knowledge and understanding of pharmaceutical sciences. Passing it ensures you have the skills and knowledge to practise safely in Australia.
Duration of exam: Minimum 4 hours. There are 2 papers, each with 100 questions.
Cost: AU$2290
Can be taken from your home country at authorized centre India, Pakistan, Singapore, Malaysia etc

Qualification criteria: You need an overall mark of at least 50% in each paper.
Step 2: English Language Proficiency: Provide evidence of English language proficiency (IELTS or equivalent).
IELTS: Minimum score requirement is overall 7 with no less than 7 bands in each module
OET: Minimum B in LRWS
PTE: Minimum 65 overall score
TOEFL iBT: Minimum overall 94 (Listening: 24; Reading: 24, Writing: 27, Speaking: 23)
Step 3: Internship: Complete a period of supervised practice (internship) in Australia.
Applying for provisional registration: When you pass the KAPS exam, you can apply to the Pharmacy Board of Australia (PharmBA) for provisional registration and approval of supervised practice.
Apply for Visa to Australian Home affairs.
A minimum of 1575 hours of supervised internship is mandatory in Australia.
Paid internship (average AU$ 30 per hour)
Step 4: Competency Examination: An intern written and oral examination
Intern written Exam:
The Intern Written exam tests your skills, experience, knowledge and understanding as a pharmacy intern.
Duration of exam: 2 hours, 75 questions in total.

Applying for full registration
When you have successfully passed both your written and oral exams you can apply to the Pharmacy Board of Australia for full registration.

Is it mandatory to have prior work experience as pharmacist.....i have got my registration from in 2010, but i dont have work experience as a pharmacist will this affect when i do the processing? coz from what i understand you need to provide details of gap in your practicing history in CV, so can ahpra deny registration on this grounds?
