- In this one I attempt to stop a leak in the pond. I found Shalex Damit by watching a Hometown Acres TH-cam video.

Hahahahahaha! Some of that snot must’ve landed on the bank 😂! You’ve made my week! You’re a gentleman and a scholar!
The stuff is slick, 👍🏻
Have you considered that you have another spring coming out of that area and its not the pond leaking?
That is the conclusion I have come up with, I think it is a wet weather spring that has found an easier way downhill around the pond. When we have a long dry spell it dries up and pond level stays consistent. Appreciate the comment!
I’m curious as to whether you applied bentonite around your spillway when you constructed it. That’s what I used to help seal levies and overflows on new ponds.
I did not but I do have a piece of rubber roofing material appx 20’ long that extends down and beyond the edge of overflow
Hope it works. If it does, we have a stock pond that quit holding water so might give it a try.
I think it will but time will tell
I don’t think your problem is your pond with your wet spots so far from the dam. I think you have a good old fashion seep. The only solution for that is drain tile. Also check and make sure you don’t have a water line leaking close to your water meter. Good luck! I will say that using the damit is good insurance for keeping your dam sealed though.
Bwlyon, you may be right, I did have water company come out and check and they say no leak, I told them while we were spreading this stuff that I am going to give it a month and if it is still leaking I putting a tile in and calling it good. Water loss I am experiencing is minuscule so we can live with it.
