I don't get why everyone hates so much on cosette. Not in this comment section, but in general. I mean, she lived a horribly tough childhood and spent the rest of her life growing up trying to find out the truth in her fathers past and kind of being lonely, so when she finally found love it was really nice for her. And I guess that Amanda is an awesome actress and a genuine and humble person so all in all the character and actress are both great, in my opinion.
For some reason I laughed really hard when Eddie went "Aww thank you.... hug!" and made a funny hug hand gesture and Amanda just kinda looks at him and pats his leg. I love Les Mis soooo much!!
I love how the three of them talked with each other more than the interviewer herself. It's like they've known each other for years, it's refreshing to see co-stars having chemistry both on and off the set.
Apparently "sang as a kid" means two musical scholarships, one of them to Eton where he sang in the chapel choir. He also sang in the Trinity college choir at Cambridge while he studied there. He really is good at downplaying everything about himself.
slightly_creepy_izzii That man kinda love making self deprecating jokes. Ezra Miller had to stop him because he thinks Eddie is a great person. Which I think Ezra is absolutely right.
In my opinion, his singing is not appropriate for the power that Mariuś voice requires, especially in Empty Chairs and Empty Tables when the he is weaker than the music. He is a choir singer not a musical theatre singer
@@maximusmawle2904 I understand completely what you're saying, especially when you compare his version to Michael Ball's. But I think that singing it close up in a film situation is much different than singing it in a big theater, and I also heard an interview with him where he said he felt the emotion of the song--
@@maximusmawle2904 Oops-- cut myself off. In this interview, Eddie said he didn't feel like the emotion of the song lent itself to a "big" musical moment, so he made the choice to sort of rein it in and keep it "smaller". I think he has the ability to do it that way, he just made the choice not to.
Eddie is amazing. Empty Chairs At Empty Tables was beautiful and the emotion was so raw and beautifully done. He knew exactly how to portray Marius along with nailing every single song he was singing. SO BEAUTIFUL!
Some people are just harsh to Amanda. Do u guys know that she suffers from anxiety disorder? When you have that you can't really control yourself from being awkward and sometimes obnoxious (i know that because I have that too so I feel Amanda so much)
In all of Hugh Jackman's interviews he keeps bringing up how heavy Eddie Redmayne is.....it's absolutely hilarious because Hugh had to lose so much weight for his role and here is Eddie the same weight as before, being carried by weak jean valjean.
I'm smitten. He is amazing. The first thing I saw was Songbird. His minimal use of small facial muscles to express such poignant situations is incredible.
Hugh is such a humble, kind guy. Amanda is so professional and sophisticated. And Eddie is like an adorable British puppy.. Wonderful casting choices all around.
I ADORE Eddie and Hugh! They're both wonderful actors and I just love them both. I like Amanda too but I'm not really very familiar with her and her other roles. So I'm not trying to be rude or offensive or anything but I just really love Eddie and Hugh.
I love at the 16 minute mark, theyre talking about how they all want to sing together in a giant ensemble and Cameron Mackintosh is going to make it happen. Skip to the Oscars...sensational
Eddie is one of the best actors and he is such a lovely guy. Hugh must be the nicest guys. Amanda is so lovely and has such a nice personality that I didn't think she'd have.
I truly hope that this inspires more great stories and plays to be shown onscreen. I pray that more movies will be created live, and that more great tales will come of this masterpiece.
All I want to do is meet Eddie and give him a huge hug!!! I fell in love with him the instant I saw him in the movie!!! The first thing I did in 2013: looked at a picture of him on my iPod touch (even before saying 'happy new years!')!!!! Btw HAPPY 2013 NEW YEAR!!
Wow... awesome interview. All of them are so funny and get along so well. Incredible actors and incredible movie!! I wasn't sure if the movie would be as good as the stage version - but it was absolutely awesome.
I know this video is 9yrs old and probably no longer getting a lot of visits.. but I just spent this whole video trying to cross my legs like Amanda. Like what in the noodle legs is she doing LOL
it is such a wonderful film. i truly enjoyed it!!! it's also so interesting to watch and hear the cast together, speaking three different accents, England, Australian, and of course the American accents. haha....tooooo cool!!!
For people commenting about his arm around her, I saw another interview where Eddie was with Samantha Barks (Eponine) and he was sitting in the same position. Perhaps he likes sitting that way or it was more comfortable for him? Because it wasn't just with Amanda.

The Swedish Girl So? They love each other, what’s wrong with that?
The show is made for everyone to kind of hate Cossette, that’s it

Yes, very respectful and right.

I'm overwhelmed! Australian accent, American accent, and British accent! :) It's amazing!
How many Les Mis interviews have i watched? I. CAN'T. STOP.
SAMEEEE I 👏 CAN’T 👏 STOP
literally amanda and eddie are just amazing together and I wish they would just get together!!! hugh jackman is the best show host EVER!!!
I love how Hugh listens to everything that Amanda and Eddie are saying, and he never stops smiling :)
I love Eddie ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ never stop acting Eddie!!!!

@@millieo7155 you mean birdsong?
I love them all but eddie is literally the most amazing person to walk this planet
Hugh is such a humble, kind guy. Amanda is so professional and sophisticated. And Eddie is like an adorable British puppy.. Wonderful casting choices all around.
Little did they know that Hugh was working on The Greatest Showman another hit musical movie
OMG Hugh addressing the names of people who had asked him questions.....sooooo kind and generous😭
Man, i love Eddie's socks. :)
Amanda Seyfried is SO serious, her face at 5:54 haha. I love her personality she seems so genuine.
Amanda is glowing, she is radiating light, Is it just me or is Amanda glowing? Did I mention that Amanda is glowing?
Hugh is always so cheerful, relaxed and funny. He has this positive vibe floating around him, just so wonderful :)
They're so adorable omg

The disgust on Amanda's face when he is talking about "the things you do for your art" is so funny!
hugh jackman is such a gentleman and down to earth. and i love how he thanks the people who ask the questions. such a genuine guy
The way eddie pronounces each words, just stunning
an austrailian, american and brit sounds like the start to a really bad joke hahaa
YESSS
13:58 the way Eddy looks at Amanda 😭🤯
Also Hugh is the best for caring so much about what everybody says
I love how the boys just stare at Amanda and Eddie is so laid back...
i came here for eddie, like every other les mis video.
yup 🤣
@@malloryfallon6394 Eddie....so yummy!
Eddie is such a bae

I literally ran around my house screaming when Hugh said "thanks Emily" 3:18 ahh so amazing XD
I love how all these actors come from different places. Australia, United States & England. Les Mis truly is universal.
hugh and eddie always looks so intently at amanda :)) it's so cute =D
still can't believe my question got asked :D
Lucky!
silent smoggy what was ur question
kaleidoscope
what question was it?
after 6 years she still hasn’t answered the question 🤣
I love it when Amanda talks about love and hugh and eddie are like staring at her so seriously. Adorable ❤
I love Hugh's comment about how the people in the movie were fighting for their believes.. and like he said; it's really humbling... :)
Eddie a GREAT actor isn't he? :)
When Hugh was saving Eddie in the movie, and when he picked him up to carry him, all I'm thinking is WOLVERINE
The sarcasm on Amanda's face is so witty and subtle. Well played Seyfried, well played.
Eddie is one of the best actors and he is such a lovely guy.
Hugh must be the nicest guys.
Amanda is so lovely and has such a nice personality that I didn't think she'd have.
Amanda is very cute talking about fighting for what is right and being painfully shy. It represents my entire life.
He was actually answering my question at this point i got so excited
but seriously hugh is amazing; just the little things he does, like addressing and thanking the Facebook questioners by name; it's really sweet
HAS THIS MOVIE RUINED ANYONE ELSE'S LIKE? IT'S ALL I CAN THINK ABOUT ITS TAKEN OVER MY BRAIN A HEART FULL OF LOVE
Hugh Jackman seems so down to earth. I wouldn't mind meeting him.
when Eddie crosses his legs and his pants go up and you see his blue socks
Molly Oishi 😍
😍😍😍
being on the set of les mis must have been amazing seriously
The music runs through my brain all the time. I love the actors, also. They are such cool people.
I truly hope that this inspires more great stories and plays to be shown onscreen. I pray that more movies will be created live, and that more great tales will come of this masterpiece.

Amanda is so adorable. It must be hard for them not to grab her and kiss her
She is still the same as when I first saw her on Law and Order ages ago.

I imagine the actual characters of the novel being there and doing the same.
Hillarious!

Great interview, terrific people and artists...no surprise why they are as successful as they are.
