Thanks for the video. I'm doing my plugs soon, and you gave me some good info. I think I'll change the intake gasket, but I'll decide when i have it off.
its crazy how hard they make things to get to parts that need to be replaced...I didnt realiz theres was so much to remove to get to these plugs...was going to tackle this next spring...
@raiden031 That's a good possibility. Plugs are due at 100k anyway. If it's not the plugs it could be an ignition coil. After doing the plugs you could put cylinder 4 ignition coil in a different easy to reach location and see if the code changes to the new cylinder. If it does then at least it's in an easy spot to replace.
@@flyer8493 Yeah some manufactures recommend it and some don't mention it at all. I don't think I've come across one yet that said specifically not to. I like using it but it's up to you 👍
@brimet5701 When you open the individual boxes there should be either cardboard or plastic cylinders protecting the spark plug electrode from getting bent 👍
@raiden031 Ah bummer 😕. The good news is you should be able to find a replacement relatively cheap. It's the pcv hose. Here's an affiliate link if you need it: amzn.to/3W0Llr5

Great video. Not much on TH-cam that does a complete walk through on this motor like you did. Thanks!

That video really makes all the steps clear for the home mechanic who has not done a spark plug change on this vehicle before👍

Great video, very instructive made it pretty simple

It was and because I had to go back in to tighten a spark plug I definitely recommend listening to using a torque wrench
Thank you for sharing I am ready to do mine now.

it’s actually very easy just did it today took about a 1-2 hrs
A question friend, I hope you can help me. I need to change the OCV oil control Valve where a 2014 Chevy Traverse is located.
I have a 2013 Chevy traverse with 107,000 would you recommending doing the plugs and the intake gasket at the same time
@@dvaidm I think it's a good idea. The intake gasket doesn't cost that much more and you're already in there working 👍
I have a 2016 traverse with about 103k miles and received a P0304 (cylinder 4 misfire) out of the blue. Time for spark plugs?

I’ve read somewhere (don’t remember where) that chrome threaded spark plugs don’t need anti seize. But it definitely doesn’t hurt either.

Good video. Well done. Do you have to set the spark plug gap, or is it pre-set from the factory? What would the gap be if necessary?
@@brimet5701 They are factory gapped and are ready out of the box. The bottom of the spark plugs should be protected by a cardboard cylinder.
@ValleyMobileAutomotive Thanks for your reply. I bought my plugs at the local GM dealership. They were in individual boxes.

Is it 13 ft lbs or 15 for the plugs?
I've seen both, just dont know what to settle on

How did you really get that front hose off...I seen the scene skip ... mine is beyond stuck and I'm not trying to cut it off
@@arecipe4life995 Do you mean the brake booster hose? No special trick other than using a pick to slide under the hose.

@ValleyMobileAutomotive yeah I found it on rockauto with Dec 31 delivery. Every time I touch my car I break plastic things.
How likely the gasket manifold would “need” to be changed? Want to buy all parts needed before I tear it all apart being my only available vehicle…

@@akumasiouxpreme Haha I guess it's all relative. Compared to most V6 transverse engines this one isn't too bad.
