Believe! I was already vegan but eating a lot of processed food, oil, and sugar. My hot flashes had gotten worse just post menopause than during or before. I eliminated the junk and have been eating a plant-based whole food diet for about 3 1/2 weeks. No more hot flashes.

Hello I just wanted to say I started watching your TH-cam videos and I started two days ago on this plan and I've been listening to you. So I am just I just thank God that I ran into you and I am 57 years of age I need to lose about 25 lb and I've been going through menopause and other skin conditions as well but I'm so grateful I've ran into your videos and now I'm starting to do. I just want to. Thank you! I've been so blessed, and I'm so glad. So I'm praying that I will continue and this will be my life-changing Journey thank you so much and I do need to start ordering those B12 so thank you again I just want to ask God to bless you because thank you for letting me run into these videos thank you so much! Thank you, Healthy Emmie.
I am only 34 years old, I had a complete hysterectomy 2 years ago bc of high risk of cancer and endometriosis and this past year I have had some weight gain, I am definitely not feeling myself and my body is going through so many changes, I feel like I am going insane at times bc I am an active fit person and I eat so healthy, so yeah I am so ready to feel like myself!! I just want to cry at times!
I’m 50 and started weight training with a personal trainer . They recommended I eat 130 grams of protein , no more than 150 grams of carbs , and 65 grams of fat. So when I saw your video I’m now confused on what to do.
I’m 55 and that’s exactly what I’ve been finding out that I’m supposed to up that protein especially since I started weight training… Let me tell you I weighed Train for three years and didn’t gain a single muscle with my vegan no protein diet… So I’m gonna definitely try to stick to 140 g of vegan protein See how it goes
It's easy to say eat all your meals at home but what if you're dating someone, esp at the beginning, the main thing they want to do is go out to eat! Even if you're not specifically out just for food, while youre out doing other things such as the beach, sporting events, shopping, theyre gonna want to eat while youre out and about. How can you realistically be any fun to date if you can only eat your own food!?
Believe! I’m trying to find soybeans that are non-gmo organic but reviews aren’t that great in Canada ☹️ …still searching. I’m grateful for this information - keep these menopause videos coming plz 🙏🏼
BELIEVE - you know it. Great video, I loved this one and really look forward to the other two in this series. As always, thank you for the time you put into these videos. Have a great one!
"I know that you love looking at my gorgeous face" ......cracks me up! The first time I saw you Emmie I thought that maybe you were arrogant and young....but you have grown on me.❤ I'm 67 ....108 lbs. I want to be good ALL the time but can't seem to do it consistently 😮
Hi Emmie! I am so glad to be restarting this journey with your team. Would you mind linking the oil free dressings you recommend? It is difficult to find in stores. Thank you!
Emmie, soybeans and edamame are the same, one is just at a different maturity level. You mentioned on the video soybeans aren’t the same as edamame, they are. 😊
Question!I am 53 and definitely gaining weight even though I work out daily. I lift weights and I’m constantly being told to up my protein. So I use Greek yogurt cottage cheese chicken breast as main protein sources. What do you suggest for protein for somebody who’s very active and athletic?
i've been WFPB for years and not able to lose weight, the only time i have is by cutting calories and walking. I have watched all the videos about you don't have to count calories if you eat high fiber but for me it hasn't worked. I'm here looking for how to lose weight after menopause because i was about 112lbs since i was 14 then 50-57 a constant weight gain up to 155 and now 144 that i have tried for two years to lose fat. I don't eat salt sugar or oils on my WFPB, i steer clear of processed food except for a treat now and then but even then i go vegan low sugar. I'm just saying it's more than diet or it's calorie counting? Not sure still trying not giving up.. i also do meditation and yoga and walking. I think being consistent is another very important factor. Maybe if you go from eating dairy meat and sugar and you do this THEN it will work, but i've been vegan most of my life. 🤷🏼🤷🏼♂🤷🏼♀
I had estrogen positive cancers, I'm on ovary suppression injections, aren't soya beans full of estrogen? As the cancer was ER+ and HER2+ should I avoid these?
I have lost a lot of weight in my menopause journey.......it is scary...........I have dinner by 7 and breakfast by ten.....also had anxiety issues......could this be the reason ? Weight loose is scaring me😮
I have been told to eat an organic whole food diet. So that is the same. But also told that If you don’t get enough protein then you’re going to lose muscle, called sarcopenia. It’s hard to gain muscle back when you’re older. Also I have gluten intolerance that caused a thyroid issue Hashimoto’s disease. So I avoid grains and eat grassfed meat and dairy and organic fruits and veggies and limit my rice and potatoes to lower carbs. I do intermittent fasting and try to get 7k steps . If I have bulletproof coffee then I’m not hungry. Carbs give me cravings and make me hungry all the time. So I can’t stick with it.
I love everything you have to say Emmie...I just realized from one of your other videos that I am a flexitarian. Why is it that some people like you can just change overnight? And others like me have so much trouble? My weight is only 108 but I can't seem to stay healthy eating all the time
I'm in menopause and I am not retired. No one seems to focus on eating healthy on the go. I have digestive issues, and eating raw is not an option either.
I believe but am not consistent....... I can't seem to go all in all the time. Any tips? Just keep getting back on track? I want to "impress myself"......not keep disappointing myself. I will have a ladies weekend soon where all traditional foods will be there. Not sure how I will handle it 😂😂 Ok Emmie. . I love everything that you point out and have to say....I just realized from another one of your videos
Likewise. Store-bought bread is full of all kinds of weird additives! If one makes one's own with organic, wholegrain flour, with no salt or oil added, one can have the occasional piece! Emmie has a recipe somewhere on this channel, I believe :)
Believe. I am 56 and have a hypothyroid with a Goiter. I was told soy beans are not good for people who have A thyroid problem and on medicine. I love soy beans.. Is that true?
believe i started the starch solution months ago but haven't lost any weight because I find it hard to stay away from processed foods such as rice cakes , bread (in the weekend) , vegan chocolates every now and then ... especially at work ... i told everyone i became vegan so that makes it easier to refuse birthday treats ... I wonder if it is ok to eat a lot of fruit ? i start the day with plant yoghurt + fruit (1 apple + blueberries ) and at noon I eat overnight oats again with fruit (1 apple and cinnamon and berries or mango) and i eat raw veggies as snack and in my evening meal .
I love to hear your point of view, but hearing so much conflicting info is so confusing. There are so many who say eat keto to beat the symptoms of menopause.
Protein/ fiber, walking (heart rate between 120-140 /30 min. No less than 4 times a week. Corn is horrible for you, and grains are horrible for gut causes inflammation. Intermittent fasting.
Sorry high carbs IS NOT working. That’s how I got into this problem. In my 20 I ate clean all carb meals and now I’m insulin resistant. So that’s not working.

Focus on your personality and humble yourself before aging will get you. Remember the youthful look doesn't stay forever. Sad thing is that your mother didn't teach you the values of the heart. I'm saying this to you Emmie not to upset you but for your good.
@@HealthyEmmieI disagree. I do not follow a plant based diet. I do eat whole and unprocessed foods. My protein comes from everything from poultry, seafood, and lean cuts of beef. Protein is super important. Animal products are really important.
I have never had soybeans but I do attribute my EASY menopause and mild hot flashes to my tofu consumption.

Protein powder and egg whites are great to add. As we age our need for protein increases to guard against osteoporosis and sarcopenia.
Add lentils.
Can you provide evidence of animal products being responsible for worse menopausal symptoms?
