Beautiful soap! Was so happy to see a notification for your video. Really enjoy watching you and thank you for all the information and tips you always give. 😀
Great video Joanna. So glad to see you back. I’ve missed seeing you and your videos. The sound in it was PERFECT. You have gotten really comfortable in front of the camera and it shows. Excellent job.
Hi. I am so impressed with you and excited about the usage of 50/50 lye!! I just started soap making and have learned a lot from you already! Can you send me info on your soap cutters. Thank you!!
Love your videos Joanna! I make a soap similar with activated charcoal, peppermint & tea tree that many of our customers just love. Fun watching you make your ginormous batches!
Been wondering when you’ll be uploading again... been missing your big batches!!! And great job on the audio!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 btw, im here from katie’s channel!!! I love you both!!! 🤗🤗🤗
Such a nice giveaway for you to do. I haven't been getting my notifications for your videos Johanna so you know. Definitely need to get soap maker 3 BIG TIME . Congrats to the winner
Can you please do more video if you have time? You are such an inspiration to me! Thanks for sharing your knowledge and time with us. My goal is to become a manufacturer.
Congratz to the winner!! Thanks, Joanna. You're so kind to help all of us. God bless y'all real good! I'm so glad you're back. I appreciate everything y'all do, you and Darren. Thanks so much for the recipe too and for being a huge helping hand in the soap business. Love the putty cutter, I've got one. Yay!! I intend to sell enough soap to buy soapmaker3. Hugz, Tree
Hello Joanna. I just subscribed to your page. Its April the one you spoke with regarding starting a soap business. It was so fun taking your class today!
Awesomesauce! THANK YOU for showing how you clean your equipment. So, do you dump that soap water down your drain? If so, do you worry about unsaponified soap solidifying and causing clogs? Or do us use some sort of grease trap in your plumbing...like restaurants?
Thank you, but I don’t know yet. It depends on a few things it’s 65% chance that I will be. I will be at the Tennessee Soap and Candle Meeting on March 23rd
Yes, I use a 1 to 1 solution of water and lye that I make ahead of time. Them add extra liquid as needed to make a soap depending on oils used. Soap Maker 3 software helps me with this alot!!

Thank you very much for responding. My follow up question is how do I calculate the amount of activated charcoal to use in a recipe--what do you recommend?@@TheSoapGal
@@TheSoapGal My dry skin and I will have to respectfully disagree with you Soap Gal lol! I'm an artisan soapmaker and from experience that soap would be very drying and uncomfortable for me with 40% coconut oil and a 5% SF no matter what other oils are in it. I realise it's an activated charcoal soap so it's probably designed for people with oily skin not people with skin like mine. Please don't mind my comment, I was just a little taken aback.
@@boop7313 I also use Hemp Seed Oil in mine, along with Coconut Oil and other oils. I have psoriasis and it helps to moisturize my skins and lessens how much medicated lotions I have to use.
What % of essential oils do you add? Is the Aloe and water mixture = amounts? Cant wait for your slab mold to come out. Do you use freezer paper to line it?
Thanks for allowing me to enter and win your give away, several months ago, but I feel this was a SCAM, since you did not follow through with the items. Even after several communications with you i still have not received and do not feel I will be receiving the SoapMaker3. Although I did receive the planner, it was used.
So sorry! I use the same one, and mistook mine for the new one. I have finally received the code for the Soapmaker 3, which I emailed to you. I wish you the best.
You should put music on while you blend and why do you yell at the camera when you speak? And your shirt looks filthy, I don’t expect your clothes to be glowing, but I kinda expect you to look a little cleaner Plus shouldn’t you have scraped your essential oil blend out of your jug
Goodness, this lovely lady is offering assistance to anyone that is interested, to help them expand their home businesses, and you are rudely commenting on her appearance and volume? She is working with oils constantly and working very hard so its expected she would get some splashed on her during the day. I think she's awesome and her soaps are marvellous. She is also giving her recipes for free so maybe cut her some slack.

Hi thanks for sharing
beautiful soaps
May i ask what size is the emulsion blender? Thank you so much, you rock!!
Joanna, just curious where do you get your activated charcoal from? Beautiful soap and great video.
you should sell the slap mold and the cutter.
Is it necessary to line those molds? I would imagine that it world just fall out? Like in a silicone mold? I hate lining molds that's why I asked
Please can you explain soap maker 3 is? Newton soap making xx
You guys are so cute!😻
Can I ask where do you get the 36 pounds square mold ?
She did a video about her slab molds, and the link for her mold s in the description. th-cam.com/video/jamXkUBKjlQ/w-d-xo.html
When you say 50/50 lye solution, do u mean equal amounts water and lye? I'm kinda new and still learning how it all works

Cool
Question: You don't mist your soap with alcohol, why?
In blocks I do not because the top becomes scrap, but in Artisan slabs or loafs yes I do! Great question!!
Joanna, why is your soap such a beautiful black? when I use activated charcoal, I get a dull grey. Please help.
I use fine ground coconut activated charcoal you get deep black color very time.
Thank you very much for responding. My follow up question is how do I calculate the amount of activated charcoal to use in a recipe--what do you recommend?@@TheSoapGal
The Soap Gal you said bamboo activated charcoal.
I about had a heart attack when i saw that pour. Lol i like No dont spill the goodness. Lmbo
The beveler is from Lulu do you have her site? I like the way it cuts.
SMJ SMJ it is Lilu Soap Tools
How much aloe?
Another question...I noticed that you seem to have a lot of waste/trimmings after cutting your slabs, do you do anything with those or toss them?
Yes, I donate them to local homeless shelters. I also sell scrap sacks at seasonal markets. But mostly donate.
Is Lulu on Etsy? I have one but I want to try a new brand
How does the activated charcoal not stain your skin
It's a colorant or it's not a pigment. Think of it in terms or sugar, sugar is white but when you put it in food it doesn't make them white
Wow I missed in such a lovely giveaway next time
Sorry you missed it!! Thanks for being a part of this community!
