The owners used to let us swim in that pool when we were kids in the 80s. It's a shame the house has been left to go because the original owner took much pride in looking after it.
My grandparents used to be friends with the owner. The area was full of Sicilian Italians and most owned farmland as my grandparents did there property was up beside the Hans now factory. It was a beautiful area in the old days and very sad what it all became I have lovely memories of the area growing up

Purchased in 1995 by an Asian business for the land for their asian veggie business QFFS. House left to rot as they don't need it. They also own all the other large blocks around it and further up Government Road.
Actually they only own one more in that area at end of orchard Rd, they do own other properties, but further afield like Townsville, both south and north. No tall poppy in my paddock, they are doing well for themselves, good on them.
Yeah, true that. Sad to see it go. It's on a huge block in pretty much inner city so developers will tear it down and put up some ugly monstrosity. Thanks for watching!
Looks like either the homeless man or land owner is trying to keep people out. The front door wasn't like that and garage door wasn't chained closed. It really is a sad ending though

That's so cool. you can definitely tell it was somebody's pride and joy back in the day. Cheers
What happend to the owners? How could someone let such a nice house go to waste.

Thanks for the info!
We need to stop Asians from doing this to us. In most Asian countries you can't just go in and land bank like this.

Just around the corner from me.
I've been wondering what was going on with it.
What a shame 😔
Yeah, it's pretty sad to see it in its current state... Thanks for watching.
Someone took a lot of care in designing that compound. Everything fades eventually.

Grand in its day, bit past its renovation time, most likely be bulldozed. You do some interesting vids MJ
Thanks Deb! I like getting out there and finding interesting stuff and generally always have the camera in the car. Thanks again and stay well!
I think the original owner might've been a,Stone Mason. Beautiful railings too. Imm think to could've been a r0s or 50s build
