Smells almost like the original cause of seizure..... mystery finance creating little, well away from scrutiny. Wonder if the current owner is Chinese.........there doesn't seem to be much scrutiny happening.
Nice video and 440 liked but if you want a few more subbies, my suggestion is to narrate the video's and use a light to show up the dark area's like the stairs.
Thanks for the feedback and suggestions 😁
Loved your video, fascinating. Sad to see that sort of waste though.

Where is this?
@@tylernich0848 sorry mate I can’t reveal its location unfortunately.
Why was it abandoned?
Sadly it was mixed up in dodgy Chinese businesses and money laundering and was seized by the Federal Police in 2019.

An ordinary home built on gigantic scale...would take $1 - 3 million to bring it up to standard...no one is going to invest that kind of money into a white elephant...be interesting to know actual location.
@@robindawtrey9735 it’s very remote and 2 hours drive from the nearest city, doubt anyone would put the money into it that’s needed to make it liveable again.
@@Tassiephotographer the residence has sea views...2hrs...I assume it's on the east coast somewhere. Such a shame should be sold to someone with a lot of time and building expertise for a few dollars...land value only.

Who owns it
Not 100% sure but possibly Chinese businessmen still. It has plans to be a big resort and golf course built.
The roof stands up so high, like the pyramids
The roof is pretty high, hopefully the strong winds find destroy it.
So wrong when we have so many homeless in Tassie.
It could certainly house a few people.
Unfulfilled dreams! 😢
Those hardwood beams would come up a treat
Been there 2 or 3 times - such a waste - I couldn’t believe the heaters were still working when we were there !!
Nothing was working the day I went out there, the power has long since been disconnected.
Where is this place?
@@kathyrossiter3445 unfortunately if the location is revealed vandals will trash the place - most of the damage you see has been caused by the animals and location - a lot of the internal roof damage you see has been caused by possum’s nesting in the ceiling - the place absolutely reeks of animal urine and wallaby and wombat crap is everywhere - one thing to remember is that the place has now been sold and entry is strictly forbidden - locals keep a close eye the comings and goings.
@kathyrossiter3445 Hi Kathy, sorry I’m unable to reveal the location of this one, due to it’s remote location I fear that if too many people know about it, it could potentially be subject to vandalism and graffiti over time. I believe the property does have owners despite it being in an abandoned state at the moment.

Good to see the AFP doing their job
This suspenseful music, is too much. Awesome house though
Sorry about that
Odd looking place, eh?
Richard Hill’s house
@@piersdumaresq31 is that who built it?
Was seized by the afp in recent years something about drugs chinese syndicates and money laundering etc etc
Yes correct, Chinese multi national criminals were busted money laundering with this and several other property’s in Melbourne. The properties were all seized in 2019 by AFP.

Is this an open invite to Vandals!? May aswell be.. delete the comments with location 🤦♂️
Understand your concerns, but none of the comments give an exact location, but those that know of it know roughly where it is, given it’s remote and out of the way location, it’s highly unlikely anyone with bad intentions is just going to go out there and cause damage to it.

@@Tassiephotographer dumbfouned thankyou for sharing.
Backstory?
Was farm sold off
@@hainesy67 long story but it can all be found on google. It has a very interesting history, To sum it up it was originally farmland, it was built in the 1980’s, it was then brought by Chinese businessmen along with several properties in Melbourne. They submitted a proposal for redevelopment into a large resort and golf course which was approved. In 2019 around the time Covid hit Tasmania, the Australian Federal Police seized the property and the others in Melbourne as it was mixed up in a large multi national money laundering scheme. It was held by the feds while the court cases were running. I believe it again sold in 2022, but remains empty along with another smaller house close by it.

I thought about buying this place, but inside is about the Ugliest building I have ever seen. The architect clearly had no experience with interior design. The impossibly high ceilings would make this building ridiculously expensive to heat in winter.
Whilst somewhat intriguing from the outside, from a distance, this place is a financial, aesthetic and logistical Nightmare. Whoever imagined, or at least designed this place, must surely be bankrupt.
