Wow, this is literally perfect timing, I’ve been watching videos today and for the life of me could not find any about the difference between which way the mags face, It’s my 1st appendix rig so didn’t really know, and and the little bit I found online didn’t explain the indexing etc and the having the visual with the awesome explanation makes all the difference , ordered my tier 1 axis holster earlier today and thankfully just went with the recommended with rounds facing in, I can’t wait! Thank you for this!
I paused your video at 3:47... I'm a new gun owner. I've been messing around with dry fire drills and drawing... So here's what I can say AS A NEW SHOOTER( don't judge) my personal opinion.. The way it's easiest for me to grab the spare mag is basically what you said I think you said "beer can it".. So my index finger naturally falls to the side of the magazine rather than along the front of the ammo. My thumb however does go to that spot automatically.. After watching literally hundreds of youtube videos about the reload... It's much easier AND faster for me to "palm" the magazine and while I'm driving my magazine up into the mag well my index finger and thumb guide it in quite perfect and I'm not twisting my hand at all. It's much more effective and efficient FOR ME. It goes where it needs to 100% of the time... I wish I could show you what I mean. My index guides the side rather than the front. It's just easier for someone who is not conditioned to draw a magazine out like that.
Hey man! Thanks for the comment! You're exactly right, whichever way works best for you is exactly what you should do! You can definitely be fast and proficient either way! It just takes good practice and lots of reps.
@@Tier1Concealed hey thank you for the response! yeah my wife and I went out and put our first 100 rounds through our 48. Waiting on the 43x for her. I have a question.. I know you have holsters that can fit for the rail. I know there are the XIPHOS and the T1-M (probably picking the XIPHOS) with the option for the railed version of the pistols but is there a version that can accommodate a light as well? Not just the rail? I haven't looked too far into them yet because my wife is pissed about how much I've spent already lol.
@@doctaj.2571 that’s awesome!! We love seeing couples get out and train together! 💪🏼 and good question! We don’t have any light bearing options for the MOS (railed) version yet, but we are planning on making some in the future!!
You can see when he talks about rounds facing away from the gun and actually performs the movement, it was much easier and fluid. I keep my mags always facing away from the gun, even on my plate carrier. You don't have to twist your wrist or do some weird grab to index the mag.
Everyones different and you just have to do what works best for you. For a lot of people, rounds facing away is just less consistent and less ergonomic to perform.
@Tier 1 Concealed yea I get what you mean, but when you pull the mag out with rounds facing away, it goes into the magwell without twisting your wrist as opposed to rounds facing toward you. Less movement = more functional. And it's definitely not more ergonomic or functional because it's not natural. It's how the industry has developed the holsters so everyone just follows the wave. Every single person I served with in the marines faces their mags outwards because it's fluid and it's what actually works. Keep it simple
Great video and great holsters! Thanks!
Thank you!!

Very smooth work and great tips. Got mine last week and looking forward to more.
This is a great video. How do you do this with a Glock 19 Gen 3 left handed?
Thanks! Just the exact same way but opposite haha and using your strong hand index finger to release the slide
Great vid and excellent statement at the conclusion. 👍🏻🇺🇸
Great video. Thanks for your support on the 2A commuity.

Good video. Love the 2A message
Awesome stuff guys!
Super helpful time for some dry firing
What Holster and gun selection is Aaron running with his oz9? Nice Vid
He is using a gen 5 Glock/x300u axis elite. It’s not a perfect fit with the OZ9, but works since the x300ultra light is on there.
Great way to use “efficiency” instead of saying make you faster. Speed comes from that economy of motion aka efficiency! Rock on!
Exactly! Well said!
Thak you very much for educating me on how to reload my spare mag...
Here for the hot nasty speed
Great info!
Love the videos Keep the coming
My issue is I can’t get my thumb between my gut and the magazine
Still on a weight loss journey but not there yet 😅
The KFC inspired shirt is drippin'. I need one.
Awesome
I’m just here for all the GUCCI glocks
My Glock racks it self when I put a fresh mag in… is that so post to happen?
We've seen it happen. Could be your thumb placement or a worn out slide stop
Now to practice this without the first mag and get yelled at by internet strangers like Sam.
Hahaha
