I would heavily increase linear accel and decrease decel. Mario might be more snappy, but most prefer less smoothness to tighter controls. I could not tell if you did but, if not, add a "fox jump" or a roughly 0.1 second window after falling without jumping to make platforming more forgiving / more fun. Otherwise, good progress.
Can you make the camera zoom in and out everytime Mario gains speed, like one of those Flash Mario Fighting Games? Also awesome stuff, I need to learn Godot
