In the video you briefly touched upon the drama that Pac-Man fans had to deal with for the past few years so I just want to give a bit of my perspective. As someone who was there during the 40th anniversary and has had their fair share of regrets regarding some of their own Pac-Man takes and involvement in community-related drama... this is one of those moments where I am *really* happy to be wrong.
See, I never expected that we'd see Pac-Man World return in any official capacity, as for the longest time it just seemed like the odds were being absolutely *stacked* against it. From being developed overseas by a long-since defunct subsidiary, to the original games apparently underperforming so hard in the IP's home region that the third and World Rally never even made it to Japan... it's not that I *ever* wanted actually ambitious Pac-Man projects gone and replaced with short-term experiments, quite the opposite actually, it just felt like all those requests and demands to "bring back World" were equivalent to shouting into the void; such a massive corporation all the way in Japan would NEVER listen to us!
Well, little did any of us back then know, they really were listening to those requests... the whole time! Literally as the community was divided between World fans and maze series fans constantly being at each others' throats, World Re-Pac had reportedly entered development at NowPro sometime in 2020, right under our noses. Now I do think some communication a year earlier definitely could've gone a long way in putting the community at ease, as it wasn't until Museum+ was revealed towards the end of 2021 that anyone's expectations for a World series revival of some sort were actually raised.
Fast-forward to today though and... WOW. To say patience paid off would be the understatement of the damn century. After everything Pac-Man's been through in the 2010s, after all *we've* been through as fans of the funny yellow guy, I do believe 2022 was easily the most satisfying year we've had yet!
Between World Re-Pac turning out to be an amazing remake of a cult classic, especially with them showing that they do listen to our feedback, and Museum+ and even Arcade Archives finally making most of Pac-Man's best games easily accessible on actually relevant platforms for the first time in years, they basically resolved everyone's big issues with Pac-Man's 2010s game output and nowadays this little community's the most unified it's probably ever been while also seeing significantly more growth following that infamous 40th anniversary. Now that they've proven that they care about developing bigger Pac-Man projects for the Core Gamer Audience® again, well it's certainly easy to see why I'm so stoked for this franchise's future and what games they might have in store for us then!
Definitely hoping for a brand new platformer or adventure game more than anything at the moment, but the idea of getting World 2 Re-Pac beforehand is always welcome too. (By the way, you did a great job capturing why both of these releases matter so much for me!)

Wow. So you guys haven't had it easy, huh? I don't have experience with what has been happening with the Pac-Man games--my avatar is actually inspired by one of Pac's moves in Smash 4 if you're wondering--but I can see that Bandai-Namco has been seeming to be tone-deaf only to turn out otherwise. I know people weren't happy with Pac's Ghostly Adventures look and were thankful that his original design was used in Smash as a result. But wow, all this warfare outside Ghostly Adventures, huh?
I get involved because of my own interest in getting Bandai-Namco to listen about how they could improve Kid Icarus Uprising beyond lolcontrolsfix which wouldn't do anything to address how insanely busted weapon modifiers are in that game, how the Intensity scaling is balanced around that, etc. I know there's no concrete proof that BN is indeed making a KIU remaster, but between Sakurai's suggestion at the end of his Fiend's Cauldron episode and BN's job openings, there's a heavy guarantee. So I'd welcome ways to contact BN reliably other than their now overly limiting official website's contact form, although I'd imagine you'd already be making use of what you'd know yourself, but anything would help, because no kidding I have a lot of input about Kid Icarus Uprising.
We can all agree, though, that Re-Pac is a solid game and a show of what remakes can do right, even if there are hiccups that would still be worth bringing up as a reminder for the developers to avoid complacency. I definitely would want to check out a PMW2 Re-Pac, although as to how it would improve upon the original PMW2, I'm not even familiar with that, which innately limits my input, whereas I have a full decade of experience with Kid Icarus Uprising to know what works there and what doesn't. Still, I got a No Damage Run video series of PMWRP within a month of first playing the game to determine that the level design is solid but has some issues here and there. Hopefully, PMW2RP will be a stellar experience as well.

Bandai Namco renewed the Pac-Man trademark, I am hopeful that the future of Pac-Man is bright.

The possibility of a remake of World 2 or a brand new PMW game would be fantastic, but I’d also love a new game in a similar vein to Maze Madness or Adventures in Time.

Man, I Wish I knew this was a premier. At least I got something pretty solid to watch later.

It's lovely how this premiered around the time I bought Namco Museum on the Switch (aka the one with the best multiplayer pac-man game ever: Pac-Man Vs.)!

words cant really describe how important these releases are for fans like us but i think you did about as good a job as possible. after the years of drought, it feels so good to finally have hope for the future of one of my favorite franchises. i'm glad that we'll have these fantastic games to keep replaying until the next major release, whenever that might be. great video numen :)

It's great to see Pac-Man return like this. I didn't play the original Pac-Man World, but I freaking love Pac-Man World Re-Pac. I hope we get a Pac-Man World 2 remake, a Pac-Man World Rally remake, and a Pac-Man Party 2 in the future. I need more of patra. With a Pac-Man World Rally remake, they could add even more Bandai Namco franchises.

People were mad at GAME DEVELOPERS GOT CREDITED? O_o Instead of getting mad that they originally weren't??? Man, that's weird - I'm glad that I originally *didn't* hear about this, I'd probably be fuming mad talking to these people
Good video! I'm so happy that Pac-Man is bac-man (for real this time). At this point, I'd say it's worth buying Re-Pac just to let Bamco know that we care about Pac-Man and that it is in their business interests to continue making Pac-Man games.

One big gripe I have abt re-pac is I wish they would of added a 3rd level to the ruin levels making it 4 levels in total like all the other worlds in the game but besides that I really did enjoy re-pac and do think it is the definitive way to play the first game but not to replace the original game entirely!

Yeah they could've added that scrapped ruins level, kooky crypt I believe its called

I was very excited when these games where announced I now own copies of both games for the playstation 4 and At the time of Me writing out this comment I'm quite happy with owning both games also when Pac-Man 256 came out in 2015 I played the heck out of that game and I enjoyed it very much I'm also happy to see it being included in Pac-Man museum plus now I can enjoy and appreciate that game a whole lot more then I did when I first played it when it was released in 2015 also I loved the inclusions of Pac-Man battle royale and the original version of Pac-Man championship edition over all both games pleased me greatly and hopefully updates for both games will get released as dlc

Watching this was a blast and this ended up being a great video. As someone who was hyped for both Museum+ and Re-Pac this perfectly summed up how great it felt to get both of these games and this hit in the right areas and was very detailed with the points.
So overall this video was well worth the wait

@@thenumenfrompacland9491 it's funny because like you're talking about "dark ages" for PAC-MAN.. never in my life have I seen anyone cared about Pac-Man to say he went through a "dark age".. it's normally sonic fans that say shit like that but to see it used for pacman makes it 10x funnier

@@solitaria.7773 Almost every franchise has it's dark age at some point. I can safely say the same thing for Mario and Mega Man. It isn't something just exclusive to Sonic.

@puck-youvs I will only buy into that mindset if we pass the 45th anniversary, and nothing happens. As it stands the 45th anniversary is next year so I wouldn't speak too soon tbh
