    I am glad I went with the rough country that I just ordered. I have looked into it and bds looks like the rough country gets more lift than the bds. I also went with 0 offset wheels to get a slightly aggressive look. I chose the 4” over 6” because of the same reasons that you did. Plus I didn’t want a truck so tall it’s like work to get in it.

    Years ago we had 4 jeep Tjs in our family and all were stock. Found Rough country lift kits and installed 4-3in lifts on the Jeeps. We were with a Jeep Club at the time and was mocked for using Rough Country as it wasn't the high end lift everyone else was putting on their Jeeps. We never had one problem with them and the price couldn't be beat. I see now they have gotten bigger expanding out to more vehicles and more items you can buy. The truck looks great but I never liked using the spacers on the tires as it could lead to problems down the road.....

    blazed the trail so that i may follow :P i'm doing a 2" level and 34" tires like you did initially, and someday i'll probably move to a 4" lift as well. totally agree that 4" is perfect, anything higher doesn't look as good IMO (tires look small, less "tucked" which is the look i want, usability concerns, wear and tear concerns) and you almost have to go bigger with tires so it doesn't look so weird and sometimes that means cutting, trimming, modifying the gear ratio (iirc my Lariat 3.5L would need this modification, yours might be ok), etc. still catching up on your videos but your truck looks so good; great taste and i like how you approach modifying things rationally.

    Looks really good man!
    I'm really interested in hearing your thoughts after you get some more miles on it, I'm lifting my 19 the first of the year and really want to do a 4" but rough country only offers their vertex coilovers and rears for 6" lift and I want those suckers they ride amazing.
    I think a 4" lift and 35's looks awesome, 35's with a 6" lift just leaves too much gap in the fenders in my opinion.
    Really liking the look though man, looks awesome!

    • @WICKEDAUTO1
      @WICKEDAUTO1  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That was my thing, I wanted those adjustable coilovers from them. You can get rears for a 4in in the vertex but not up front. Youd have to end up going with fox or something which at that price will be awhile for me lol

    • @cheeznhard
      @cheeznhard 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@WICKEDAUTO1 you would think they would be smart and release them for 4in as well like BDS has.
      The crazy thing is the vertex actually ride better than the fox coilover Reservoir non-adjustable and they are just as good riding as the DSC Fox coilover adjustable ones which are a ridiculous amount more.
      I've Spent extensive time in trucks with one or the other.
      Really interested to hear how you like your setup after a good amount of miles oh, maybe I'll just go that route

      @@cheeznhard completely agree with you! After reading/ hearing how good the vertex are and their price point compared to others is crazy. I just can't see spending that much. I will say so far the ride isnt bad at all. Definitely similar to stock. The front feels the same as stock and the rears feel just a hair stiffer which is every aftermarket non-res. I will say these v2s dont feel as stiff hitting bumps as the bilsteins but plant it just as well. Of course only 40mi so far though lol

    As I have said, I am going to pull the trigger on buying the 4" RC lift with the RC coilovers, I have the Cooper STT 295 70 R18, I actually bought them after seeing your video and knowing that they would fit. My buddy from work got them too after seeing mine, though his is a Chevy. So thank you for that. My next dilemma is I need rims, I still have the factory 18"x 7.5" rims with 5.75" backspace. What is your backspace on your wheels. the kit says maximum 5" i believe. I was thinking of a 18x9 rim with 4.5 or a nuetral offset.I assume you have no rubbing and didnt have to grind or cut anything to prevent rubbing, is that right? • @WICKEDAUTO1
      @WICKEDAUTO1  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Because of the added weight and height from a lift your dropping your mileage and it takes more power to move your truck which means less torquey feel. But it does depend on the gear ratio as well. The higher the gear ratio the less impact it would have. I have 3.55 gears and to get it to run closer to stock with a 6in I wouldve had to regear to at least 3.73 but probably 4.10 would be better.

    Question how much did you pay for the labor? Also when you talked about frame cutting you said you can go up but not down is that meaning you can’t go back to factory set up?

    • @WICKEDAUTO1
      @WICKEDAUTO1  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      At the time it was $750 but 6months later the same place told another guy $1200 so guess they decided they wanted to charge too much like everyone else

    I’m wanting to add the RC 4” on my limited. I have a question about your setup in the video. Was your front set at 4” or did the coil overs raise it some?

    What is your overall height with this setup?

    I am wanting this kit. Does your truck still fit in a standard size garage? 7' tall i believe

    • @WICKEDAUTO1
      @WICKEDAUTO1  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mine is 7ft and I do fit however I had to cut the bracket for the garage door opener. The bracket in the middle of the door, it hangs down at approx 45 degree angle, like 5extra holes. I had to cut the extra off or it wouldve hit. Have approx 3-4in of clearance from my truck roof to the garage door ceiling

    How’s the ride now?

    • @WICKEDAUTO1
      @WICKEDAUTO1  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      So far it's great! Definitely planted and soaks up the bumps as good as stock on the front, the rear is a little stiffer of course. Comparable to bilstein 5100s as that's the only other aftermarket shock I can compare to lol

    How does that work with the factory warranty ?

    • @WICKEDAUTO1
      @WICKEDAUTO1  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I lose the factory warranty on anything that was replaced of course but anything else suspension wise they would have to try and prove the lift caused the issue which is more than likely wont happen

    Whats your roof height with this setup. Im looking to lift mine but still wanna park in the garage.

    • @WICKEDAUTO1
      @WICKEDAUTO1  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Im not sure of total height but if you have a 7ft garage it ain't happening lol I can fit in, just barely but the rod for the door will hit the very top of the windshield/roof if I'd go the whole way in

    Does lifting it void warranty???

    • @WICKEDAUTO1
      @WICKEDAUTO1  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It will void the warranty on any parts that are touched with the lift.

    Hows the 19? Trans seem any better my 18 sucks terribly. Shifts hard, burns oil, knocks. Lemon law says i dont qualify cause ford says its normal. Fought for like 7 months resubmitting for buyback multiple times. About to get a ram.

    • @WICKEDAUTO1
      @WICKEDAUTO1  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's shit they wont approve it. If your truck meets your states law then you could get an attorney for it. The 19 is great so far though I love it! The trans does have the hard/weird shift at 3rd but that is just a characteristic of it as i guess as bad that is to say. And the squeaking in the rear end but that doesnt affect anything just annoying and they have to find out what it is.

    • @chris93mustang
      @chris93mustang 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@WICKEDAUTO1 it's also the characteristic of the 15 as well. My truck has a hard down shift from 5th to 4th. And that's only once in awhile. But anyways the truck looks great.

    So would I have to do the +18 offset or would this tire size fit with a +1 without having to touch the crash bars?
