@Kailie Jones, tss is incredibly rare, like suuuuuuuperr rare. That super rare percent of women will only get tss if they have kept the tampon in for over 8 hours. But if a tampon is stuck that's because it's dry or it's been in too long and perhaps the flow was too heavy for the tampon.
There is nothing gross about your menstrual blood ladies! A bit messy, ok… gross is stuff like infected wounds with puss - menstrual blood is clean and healthy - babies live in it for goodness sake! Be very aware of what messages you believe about your incredible, beautiful HEALTHY bodies! Love yourselves! (Mess and stains are annoying, as are period pains - I suffered enormously, believe me!)

Honestly u should try tampons I used that when I was 12 and sure it hurt a little bit to take them out like the first 3 days but then after that it's like nothing, and the shock thing not all people get that and you may be one of those people and you don't need to worry about anything just change them like every 1,2,3 hours and that's it ur done.

if you’re scared to i’m a virgin and it was tough cause it was confusing to figure out but trying a cup made me more knowledgeable about down there and comfortable with my body! im so relieved because today was my first day and i’m so proud of how much progress i’ve made with how comfortable i am to mess around down there...
And also using an old toothbrush with a salt and cold water mixture works well too. I've used it before and it helps a lot. But be sure to not put too much water with because it must be a paste like consistency.
I used to also only used pads, never even tried a tampon before. But like climate change and environment and stuff , I gave the cup a try, and oh my god. It is the best decision I have ever made. So soooo comfortable, no smells, no leaks, no waste! And I don’t know if this has anything to do with it, but I used to get some mild infections from time to time down there, or just like being uncomfortable even when not in my period, and I always thought it was from really tight jeans or sumnthng, but since the cup, I haven’t experience any of it anymore. It is actually not that hard to insert or extract as one might think, you just got to get to know yourself. Just giving my 2 cents, I really recommend it 💕 or like reusable pads too for the environment

isla Not true. There have been a few documented cases of women who have gotten TSS from their menstrual cups. Those are rare cases, but they do happen. That’s why it’s important to properly take care of your menstrual cup and sterilize it. Never say something is impossible. Lily Charles this might be a little tmi lol, but that happened to me two times at school already... i lost the string and my nurse drew a picture explaining what could’ve happened. you just have to wait for it to fall out or for the string to come out. it’s terrifying and being at school and not knowing if my tampon is just going to fall out was so scary. so now what i have to do is put the string to the side of my leg and make sure my string is outside of my underwear. i’ve done that ever since that’s happened to me and it hasn’t happened since. but yeah, it’s not fun

Fuck. And since when is my favorite sport and I got my first. Virgin who has attempted a cup here! I’ve also used tampons only 5 times maybe since they hurt way more. Boohoo, the hymen MIGHT have broken. Have I ever had sex still? Nope! A menstrual product won’t change that. In the grand scheme of things it’s pretty irrelevant, nobody really cares if you have one. It’s pretty much pointless from a biological point of view, and nobody is going to shame you for your “lack of chastity” even if they somehow know you don’t have one. You can definitely use it if you have a hymen. Does it hurt like hell at first? Yes. But that’s baby steps. The hardest part is getting it in. You can definitely do it after a few times in, you just gotta expect trial and error. If it hurts too much down there or you’re frustrated just take a break and come back later. I found every time I took one I’d immediately make way more progress within two attempts than I did earlier. Just remember to turn it on its side! It feels really rewarding once you do get it in there.
Sidney Oyebola I don’t even like the part where u have to shove it in there. And my biggest fear is forgetting to change it and get TSS bc I forget a lot
So I'm 14 and my mom bought me a menstrual cup a few months ago because I said I wanted to use one. I didn't use it until only a few days ago because I was scared of putting something inside of me, especially since I didn't have any experience with tampons. But now it's my third day in wearing a menstrual cup during my period, and I really love it. I don't need to worry about leaking and I don't need to have to wrap up my used pad because I can just wash out the blood. It's also more comfortable and I've learnt to be more comfortable with my body now. I don't think I'll ever use anything other than this now haha
thats so cool. I'm 19, not a virgin anymore and still scared to even use tampons. As I was still a virgin I tried a tampon once, it hurt so badly when I pulled it out and since then I never tried again. But I really wanna try the cup so badly, also because I do sports and its more ecosystem-friendly. Do you have any tips how you managed to get it in and especially out again? I'm a little more scared of that I won't be able to pull it out again.
I am a male. I had to watch the video in two parts, the first part I got to the stain in the pants and stopped watching, and stopped drinking my strawberry lemonade slush from Sonic. I have been around menstruation alot and never asked or wanted any part of it. I watched the rest of the video in bed, before I fell asleep and felt like there was a happy ending. I hope it works out for you and you never get your hands dirty again.
hello darkness its pretty good, definitely if you haven’t used tampons before or broken your hymen get a small size because putting it in can be difficult. Its great tho, I had a dance recital and it was an hour and i had no leaks.
New account 7 You don’t have to be scared. I was 13 too when I got my first period. We were on our way to a family party and we had to drive 5 hours so I had no other choice than to use a tampon. And I was so so scared and even cried bc I didn’t know what it would feel like or if it hurts. But I had a little girltalk with my mother and sister and after that I tried to use one, and everything gone well. I’m so happy that tampons are exsisting, and everything is much easier now. Trust me it is ok❤️☺️
I did too and I wanted to try them out and it felt like very weird at first and I didn’t want it to get lost (it can’t) and I took it out like 30 minuets later which was a bad idea cause it was dry and hurt and I didn’t want to try it anymore and I ended up trying it again like 4 months later when I had to go on a camping trip and I kept it in there for the 8 hours because I have a pretty light on that month and it was very nice like I didn’t have a pad and I forgot it was in there while it was in there and I had a timer so I knew when 8 was up. So long story short if you do want to try it don’t freak out and relax and take it out like 6 hours later or you know depends on your flow.
Cute and Fluffy Pikachu Bro I thought I was the only one that when I have cramps I have to do a number 2. But yes it’s a whole new level when needing to poop 😣
I can't help but giggle at the young girls in the comments cringing at the thought of using a menstrual cup. It's not weird, painful, gross, or scary. Any grown woman who's tried a cup would know it's AMAZING. I just started using a cup and I'm never going back to pads or tampons!! It's 2018; no one wants to keep walking around with a string dangling between their legs or to sit in their blood until they can change their pad.
Jalia M I’m a grown women and I would never use one, they’re way to big to be shoving up there. (I don’t have sex and haven’t in years) they’re also gross, i don’t want to have to be washing it out. I’ll stick with tampons
Megan {: well for me since I have a regular/moderate flow, the pads I use I cannot feel it at all. This may be tmi but in my opinion, pads aren’t that uncomfortable
ugh but you can feel the blood down there and it’s gross I hate it but it’s really all I can use, I can use a tampon (ive only tried it once as this is my first period) but like it’s just so.. scary, idk if I want to try it again even though it was way better than pads, I don’t think I put it in right because like I felt a pressure on my butt? Idkkk if it was normal so oop.

I hate pads. It feels awful, you can see the shape of it and can't wear them with a lot of clothes, and I hate the idea of sitting in my own blood.

Jameela Ghoul Weird, for me you can’t see they shape of them, you must have tight ass pants, they are soooo uncomfortable though.
And u also have to keep checking if u can see it from ur back
@Kailie Jones, tss is incredibly rare, like suuuuuuuperr rare. That super rare percent of women will only get tss if they have kept the tampon in for over 8 hours. But if a tampon is stuck that's because it's dry or it's been in too long and perhaps the flow was too heavy for the tampon.

And I don’t know if this has anything to do with it, but I used to get some mild infections from time to time down there, or just like being uncomfortable even when not in my period, and I always thought it was from really tight jeans or sumnthng, but since the cup, I haven’t experience any of it anymore. i panicked when you didn't boil the cup first before using it. make sure to sterilise it before using it, to make sure there's no bacteria. because not thoroughly cleaned menstrual cups can still cause tss(even if very low)
Yah ur right
They can cause infection but CANNOT cause tss, they are silicone so tss is not possible.
isla Not true. There have been a few documented cases of women who have gotten TSS from their menstrual cups. Those are rare cases, but they do happen. That’s why it’s important to properly take care of your menstrual cup and sterilize it.

Slee L The hymen has nothing to do with virginity!!
@@jordank602 hymen*

@@flofilz4601 ok just stop. Nobody cares, and this isn't gonna matter later on in life. Quit correction people. It's rude.
I know this vid is old so ppl probably aren’t gonna see it but I don’t recommend buying a cup off of Amazon not all of them are fda approved. I know that the ones on Amazon are cheap but spending a little more for a good quality cup it’s totally worth it. Make sure to watch reviews of that specific cup on TH-cam before buying ❤️
“ Like I’ve been putting tampons in there forever, and other stuff *chuckles*”

If you do buy another one, PLEASE do NOT buy a cheep knock of, check out the website put a cup in it and they will tell you the dangers of using cheep menstural cups. I use a more expensive BUT propper, safe one and it works amazing
Samantha Hart is the origani cup good?
Jennie Berglund there’s a lot of reviews on TH-cam about it, so maybe one of those can help you out
which one do you use?
@@jesssvaladez I use the Hello cup. I use the teen one because I'm 12 but there are more sizes. It's newzeland made but they ship to any other country. If you want a cup guide you can go into the website "Put a cup in it" and you can take a quiz to find your perfect fit. Hope this helped!
@@jesssvaladez Whops already mentioned the website 😂
Ive never worn tampons or menstrual cups. I’ve only ever known pads haha

Same, I'm always scared they won't come out
nightcherries Uhh there’s a string for a reason... don’t be scared tho. I remember I started using tampons the second day of my first period. There’s a lot of anxiety going into it but in the end it’s soo worth it. They are way better than pads.
"I put tampons in there, and other stuff......" HHEHEHEHE

Lol
I would never survive a menstrual cup, my periods are wayyyy tooo leaky thats why i only use pads i’ve never liked tampons
Yes but it literally is laying in the walls I had the same problem but I'm now 14 and started using one when I turned 13 and it works so so so amazing and it literally is so much easier
The cup shouldnt leak just get the right size !!
Pads nevvver worked for me, try the cup! It's life changing honestly!
Use a tampon with a pad, works wonders
I use pads too
This is literally one of the videos that pushed me to try a menstrual cup. It’s now been almost a year on the menstrual cup, and it’s the most comfortable thing I’ve ever used for my period. Never tried tampons and not interested in trying one. I would never go back. After a couple periods I learned how to insert it properly, and honestly I haven’t leaked at all after that.

I literally love how open you are about this there is such a stigma around periods and it’s really nice to see people talking about it so normally. 😊 Also you are hilarious I was laughing at your commentary the whole time!! 😂😂😂
