- Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated the much-awaited Keeladi museum, a testimony to the regal life lived by ancient Tamils during the Sangam Age, in Sivaganga district on Sunday.
The museum has been built on 2 acres at Keeladi at a cost of ₹18.43 crore. Located 12 km southeast of Madurai city, the hamlet gained an indispensable place in history as a major urban habitation site, unlike many other archaeological sites in the State, after the excavations began in 2015.

@@drodro7672We have archaeological evidences that suggests that Tamil is one of the world's oldest language. TN Govt is not exaggerating anything and Tamil is still a living language. But Indian govt is not showing interest in this. They are much interested in Sanskrit 😅. Go and search for keezhadi, adichanallur, kondhagai excavations.
Biggest irony is that Malayalam preserved tamil words better than today's tamil that tamil people speak😂❤.... Malayalam is in a sense raw tamil is what I feel!

Admk govt minister Mr. Mafoi Pandiarajan back then said, 'one doesn't need a museum to prove the antiquity of Tamil civilization' and didn't support this cause. The person heading this, Mr. Amarnath Ramakrishnan has openly said the previous government didn't co-operate well and things got on fast-track only in the new government.

The people own the credit for this. Because if it wasn't for TN people and more particularly, some certain personalities, Keezhadi excavation may not have happened. Both the central and TN government does whatever they can to prevent any historical research on Tamil history. But it will all be over as TN people now are gaining awareness like trees catching fire in a forest fire. And we will rightfully raise statements to claim things that belongs to us and to initiate things to reinstate the greatness of our people, culture and above all, OUR IDENTITY ❤ வாழ்க தமிழ்.
The problem for north indians is this. Mandarin and korean came from tamil. I mean its full of tamil words. There is a connection to mandarin to indias oldest village athichanallur
Must appreciate the state government to initiate excavation and the building was mesmerizing to watch . The atmosphere was good , in this time we must remember the people who gave land for the excavation and museum

They didn't want the Tamil history to come up. They opened up Keezhadi to prove that Aryans were the sole inhabitants of the Indian subcontinents. But it backfired and Tamil artifacts came up. If they had dug further, something big about the Tamils could have been proved. They didn't want that and never want that to happen. And to avoid that, they closed Keezhadi. If you want a pure honest answer, this is the exact reason.
Simple bruh.. they just want sanskrit to shine. They don't want Tamil to glow up..

Union government wanted to shutdown this entire excavation and archeological findings. They did all things possible like transferring enthusiastic officers out, bringing non Tamils to this program etc. Despite all that, It was because of Mr. Stalin who made this possible and achieved this. I don't understand what the hype is. Most of these samples are only around 2300 years old. Most countries in the world have samples from around that age. Egypt for example, has samples that are over 5000 years old. So, this is nothing.

This place is not a desert .forest area so Old objects will not be processed
The excavations have been done only at a superficial level so far. If you find houses, water storing cylinders, dices, toys and pottery with handwriting that's 2300 years old, doesn't that mean, people of that region should have evolved for a 1000 years prior to that.
Of course, that'll be proved with the next stages of excavation, this is just the beginning.
well even these evidence were once denied and Tamil was underrepresented, even if tamil is not the oldest language it is still an achievement.
