testing out a bit of a different style guide this time. Let me know how you liked it, anything you want me to change in the future?
EDIT: worst performing video from my last 30 videos 💀
also come hang out live twitch.tv/arrge and maybe join discord.gg/sakenation
I really like this, especially the slow motion parts where you break down the mindset of counter movement and predictive movement. 10/10
i thought it was a very good format, it makes the match and the comments feel more natural. about the video and not the format: It helped me understand how to help my team while i'm in a bad position.
It's good 👍
I personally loved it, I don’t know why it performed poorly, I really hope you keep them up! I’ll try to spread them around a bit
do you do vod reviews?
The worst part about playing hanzo is ppl expecting you to get an opening pick or two at the start of every fight
That’s the moment they ask you to swap. 😅 Like people… Lemme analyse things first before popping off.
Exactly
Exactly...get 2 picks to start the fight 5v3? Nothing, no thank yous, no good job. But once you lose a fight with no picks suddenly everything is the Hanzo's fault.
Always see this for some reason even when I'm on tank or support, the hate Hanzo gets is actually crazy in lower ranks.
I can't even say how many times I have gotten 2 picks, and my tank still manages to lose us the team fight by proceeding to run towards the enemy spawn and dying before we cap the point. And then of course it's my fault we lost cuz I had less dmg than my dps Moira who had 28 deaths and 5k heals.
Fax I hate that one does that shoot every player once and gets an elimination when the Hanzo aka me kills them gets more dangerous but he thinks he’s so good and is toxic
13:06 "I'll get the turret first because the turret has lot more impact than this lucio" XDDD
That's a GM Lucio too btw 😂😂
@@vatarants He's still a gm lucio.....They are meant to go dps. That's what his entire kit is designed for.
@@vatarantsi'm not high rank but isn't lucio dps like bap and zen lol
@@williamlevy6964no support is “MEANT” for dps bro, thats where ur wrong. Their meant for healing but obviously shoot at the enemy if they’re right there.
@@darius6998 No mercy is designed for that. You're the classic case of blaming your supports for losing when you, yourself are making mistakes. Even if you aren't making mistakes the enemy team is synergising better than you and you are likely playing your one trick pony.
Favorite part of Arrge videos is that he leaves in the mistakes, because even GM makes mistakes sometimes.
That's what I'm always saying to my team as a support - regroup when defending, make the enemy come to us, put them in uncomfortable positions, don't let them fish us out of the point.
Good video, as always!
@@reality8793 Low Elo Big Egos
I love doing that whenever I play junker queen. I turn the corner, get healed, then charge in with axe and support utilities and just wipe the whole team. Forcing cooldowns really is just a game winner
The mental games you played against the enemy Hanzo is insane lol
Sniper duels r all abt the mind gamez
Huge respect for actually saying things like "that was [my] mistake there" and "I just got carried there." That sort of humility is too rare in the Overwatch community, and it's coming from the #1 Hanzo no less. GGs
I was Diamond 2 playing Hanzo. After watch your educational videos I got Silver 4. Thank you very much for your tips!
Lol sarc
Got me in the first half
MORE!!!
This was incredibly valuable and I don't think most of us regulars are here to be entertained but rather to absorb your skills via ocular osmosis. I've already applied your method here as you've mentioned it in passing in another video, but it was great to hear it explained in further detail. Arrge sensei best sensei
imagine being an arrge fan and he helped guide u up to gm, then you see yourself getting diffed and embarrassed and basically turned into a tutorial guide on how to be a bad hanzo 😂😂😂
Lmaooo
@@Arrge 😂😂
in all honesty tho mate thanks for the vids, taken me a while but i’ve finally realised that lining up and letting them walk into headshots rather than aiming for the head and flickmissing is so much more consistent . so thanks a lot, Mwah
I really appreciate videos like this even though I only play quick play now, I see myself getting much better.
If you really wanna improve do not play quick play.
@@ZoraMCmaybe they want to improve but still have fun
@@mataleo_there is no fun in qp, at least not in my case.
Qp is fun, and you can still improve, just don't expect ppl to help you, you rarely get carried there
@@blaxzy6184 My comment was kinda provocative. At the skill level I had some time ago, qp was more fun and chill because of the amount of tryhard and hate I experienced in competitive. But I recognize that, as soon as I got slightly better, I started to prefer losing matches bc of me and not bc of my team being bad.
This guy makes the enemy think so he can think what they're thinking and then think himself🗿
Holy shit 4min in and all these tips are huge. I always HATE playing defense because its not a fun time for me because I like being aggressive and take off angles and take risks. But being more defensive in "baiting", distract dps from your team and stall is something I haven't considered
Can you do more of these types of informational videos? I find it kind of difficult to play Hanzo and just like a play-by-play of what you’re doing and why you’re doing it. Would help
I love these videos! The slow mo replays are great. I’ve learned more from this video than playing hours on end with Hanzo.
3:04 "I just keep peeking between their shots to waste their time"
That is so brilliant, when I play Hanzo I always take duels against enemy hanzo and but then I shoot a lot and barely impact so I think I will just try to play mental game, if I lose that's fine because I will not be taking 1v1 directly but if I win the enemy will get angry and play worse so it's a win-win to my team
It's awesome to see that you're the best Hanzo not necessarily because of motor skills and aim, but most of all because of strategy and tactical thinking. It's very hard to do what you do, even harder to do it under pressure in a game. Great content!
Not sure why this video performed so poorly. I think this new format is really good, I really like it.
Nice video, very educational!
Insightful, I'll keep this in mind moving further
I just realised how much your sub count popped off my man, hell yeah, good to see!!!
Great video, provided a interesting look into the mind games you play as hanzo
As someone who plays tank this is super useful. Knowing the tempo of dps helps me position.
The first 3 minutes should be a mandatory video that plays while you wait for the queue, hands down! Well said. Totally makes one improve the playstyle.
awesome video as always
Whether playing Hanzo or not this video helps a lot of players learn better way of playing on defense and just tricks on how to do better overall with positioning and holding space and chokes. The distraction tip early on was a real good tip that i never thought of.
It was a helpful video, thx arrge
I love these videos from GM, because as a plat/diamond player it’s always a constant fear that my team blames me because I’m playing defensively. Then I play on tilt, which makes it worst. I know you’re a hanzo main, but would you also consider characters like echo and torb “poke”?
i personally feel like echo's best use is to be an assassin in their backline. other than one shotters, you can kill squishies the fastest and playing long range poke feels a bit wasteful when you have such good mobility and close range kill potential
Definitely torb
11:29 brah that hanzo so desperate lol, also thanks for the pro tips on how to play defend and attack, my mind is now more clear then ever, thanks Arrge
arrges videos always makes me fall asleep. no joke.. the video is just mellow with his voice
THIS IS AWESOME TYSM
is all about mental at the end hahahaha love your videos and accent
Really valuable tips, no matter the rank. I really like this.
Mans playing the lore accurate hanzo

Most excellent content
Man that feeling when you start getting better on hanzo is so satisfying. I'm on console but I'm finally starting to dial in his arrow travel/drop and I've been hitting some nasty flicks.
Sometimes after a shitty night I'll ask myself "why tf do I play this game". But it's because heroes like hanzo and his bow that are so unique and satisfying... Can't find that anywhere else really.
8:37 “I can’t see anything but I’m just shooting hoping for shots” is how I usually die to hanzo
Same tips really work on Soldier BTW. You can disengage and reengage very easily with soldier so playing mindgames is more important on defense than doing damage
Thank you for making this. Defenders should have the advantage but that's rarely the case when playing uncoordinated. 90% of my tanks push aggressively into their spawn on defense and escort the payload on attack.
"There you go, fanboy wanted to hold hands"
thanks for tutorial
Good video! :)
❤Love your videos ❤
amazing
Love the educational commentaries, keep doing them please! 🙏
The man
Great guide on how to defend, hopefully I escape silver
We believe in you!
@@D_Jilla Thank you
Love your content you make overwatch fun again
i love the videos but i was wondering how good is ur aim in other games
I used to think I was being a complete idiot if I wasn’t always trying to zip around as fast as possible. Stand still get shot. But overtime I’ve observed like arrge says, that if done properly it can really waste opponents time and resources because you’re having them believe they’re so close to getting a pick.
Some months ago I even ran an experiment testing others aim against my movements. From my observations I found that opponents are surprisingly good at hitting some zippy targets. I’ve tried moving less and found that I won more fights or at least survived longer. Our team even won quite a few matches and what was funny was that those were often the ones I stood still for the vast majority of the match. Enemies saw me and were indeed after what they thought was an easy kill, but where I was positioned made it very difficult for them to get through my team and to me.
Arrge is like the perfect combination of patience to hit a shot and a mastermind in mind-play fucking up with others to put themselves in a bad spot where he will then pick them off lmao 🗿
Bahaha when you mentioned how “the hanso is obsessed with me “
I thought the song : “why you so obsessed with me?” By Mariah Carey 😂❤️
4:08 the mind games oh my
You have skill and +7000 hours of experience
I have a Nintendo switch with 27 hours of Hanzo
We are not the same
🗿
i love you arrge
13:37 I almost spat out my food hahahahaha
the dif between the rounds lol
Orrge on defense: play defense wait for mistake
Arrge also on defense: Take hanso 1v1 flank and then keep flanking
love arrge videos i watch it play ow remember im mid and lose get mad watch an arrge video play ow remember im mid and lose watch an arrge video play ow remember im mid and lose
Thx
11:30 It's so funny that you just stand still and enemy hanzo still missing his shot
Thank you for sharing this perspective because even masters can’t get this
"He can have one arrow, as a treat".
Video: Educational commentary
Commentary: I got carried
The turret has more impact than Lucio. Damn so true.
After watching your videos for about 2 months I average anywhere between 35% to 50% accuracy not bad for console player my head shot accuracy varies between 15%-30%
But arrge! I love going on 1v5 flanks and dying after missing all my headshots on an afk mercy!
Hint: also be one of the top ranked and best players to touch hanzo
playing hanzo is like being water very fluent but also destructive
just me that thinks that??
Although not perfect, team was a vibe: no one blaming the hanzo for not popping off every fight, tank not complaining, no "i will do this myself" moiras... for the majority of the time they were working together to win
at 7:45 after Arrge killed Torbjorn he enter a kind of 1 v 1 with other hanzo team
and that guy did a 125 damage while hanzo is already got nerfed to 120 damage
is it bug or its just an old video before the hanzo "buff" as Arrge say. ?
Can we have tips for phara ? I'm beter for hit her but i can't headshot her, like have you tips for hiting air target ? (Sry for my english i'm french x))
You need to ambush her, wait for her to fly past or use wall climb to get very close
Arrge what’s your crosshair
it's crazy how they just walk into his arrow when I play hanzo and even look at somebody they run in crazy circles around
I have a similar problem with dive heroes. Obviously you still need to dive on defense as thats how you get space, but you cant take dumb risks just for the sake of it.
Hey i you were on my team once Wildwolf? Rember?
Can’t wait for the people in the comments to say “great guide” even tho the video came a few minutes ago
I think a lot of people forget that a round is time based and not kill based.
anyone know what his crosshair sett is
@6:27 Tracer allergic to coom confirmed
Do you have any tips for controller users?
Dont
Get a mouse xD
Play Apex Legends
yes, the third commandment just dropped boys
I always say overwatch is 59% skill and aim, 50% game sense, and 50% mental games.
The issue is that the lobby doesnt understand this and would constantly be toxic and point out low damage low kills.
Without trust, we are just animals.
i drop my 1st 28 elim on hanzo after watching this
Yes daddy
Fewer, not less.
Yes Yes this is what i'm talking about, when you're on Defend your job is to waste Attacker's time from objective as much as possible.
Most people play it like they're on Attack side (Spawn Camping)
why didn’t you use the ult yet
The worst part about being a Hanzo main is that everybody is a Hanzo main so it’s hard to get him first lmfao
Baiting the hanzo to mess with his mental so he misses more shots is 5 head as fuck, I never thought ab it like that
Torb turret having more impact than Lucio hahaha
Im Diamond and i do that spam miss peaking to make other supports and even some dps ego peak me then ill tell my team "so and so is about to over commit" 😂
waiting for awkward video 😢
Over wach

This is hard to watch watching this I definitely have been doing this instincts usually for a long time. But now I'm realizing how many people are feeding their brains out when I play tank on. And I kind of just feel more helpless. When your teammates don't play with you in this game no game has ever made me feel this helpless and useless about trying my hardest
This explains why I pop off but don't climb thank you
