As if a 1961 'Bubble Top Impala' is not iconic enough!! It was ordered
and raced by 1 of the 4 most iconic and revered American racers to have
the iconic Quad-Victory of, LeMans, Indy, Formula 1 Champion and NASCAR
under his belt, makes this a truly treasured racer...... just glad it's
back 'Home @ Goodwood' by someone to really understand and appreciate
what he's got!!! CHEERS!!! From the USA!!
The 1961 Impala is regarded as easily one of the most beautiful from the halcyon days of the late '50s thru late '60s Chevrolet "full-size" cars. A really nice one is quite stunning to behold! This IS a nice one!
Wow. I am so happy to see this project underway in the U.K by this great team. I remember seeing this car at Riverside. It looked so incongruous, and really captured my imagination.
Nice to be reminded of Don Steves Chevrolet in happier times. The dealership was something of an institution back in the day. It all came to such a sad end.
Loved this & look forward to the rest of this series!
More of this type of videos please. Great video thanks for sharing 👍
Nice work goodluck from the U.S.A
Love it! Thanks for posting
Great, great series, thanks!
awesome!!! Don Steves Chevrolet dealership license plate frames!!!!!!!!!! southern california roots, an excellent touch to leave those frames on the car, to bad you dont have original california yellow black lic plates!!! thats the way we do it in southern cali!!!
I’d want to build a second one to race at Goodwood
You either stole it or they pay you loads at Goodwood lol.
What great project, I hope it's a series
Ha! Neither of the above... It's not just me that owns it...
@@edfoster1447 I'm just jealous 😎👍
Ed..this is such a wonderful thing that has happened here.Too bad DG couldnt see it back where it started. That rear wheel really changed his vision in such a bad way..maybe the history of British racing could have ben different,if it hadnt happened.
409 and no brake booster.... good fun to race!
I just found a Ford Torino Talladega NASCAR racer I'mma restore
