I use the same disassembly procedure as you, except I take the top center bolt loose on the strut and drop the shock out and then the spring, don't need a spring compressor that way.
made it look easy! Just picked up 2024 ORP and was thinking of putting the 5100's all around and lifting the front so it doesn't have that slant to it. I'll don't plan on towing anything. Need to find someone as knowledgeable as you in the Pittsburgh area :) Thanks.
UCA not needed under 3inches. You can go .85 to 2.5 in the front ZERO difference in stiffness between settings. I recommend replacing all 4 shocks. I’ve done 2.5/1.5 on an sr5 you will need 1.5 spacer in the rear)with 265s. Also on a trd off road 3/2 you will need to add 1/4 inch spacer in front on top of fronts and a 2inch in the rear.
Thanks for the tip about the UCA bushing centering procedure. So when the car is on the ground, is it easily accessible to get to the UCA bushing bolts?
@@turbostoybox2182 I’ve scheduled to get this done by the master tech at my local dealership, they are known to accept mod jobs and fairly hands on. I’d hope this master tech understands this intricacy
No arms required at this height. I have personally ran them at max setting with the stock upper arms with no issues. You can get them to help correct the caster angle but I felt it was fine without.
There is no LEAN. People engage the parking brake and exit vehicle. Try exiting WITHOUT parking brake engaged and be amazed the t lean is gone. If you already have spacers you will have lean again after disengaging parking brake. I have an sr5 and a trd off road. Neither have lean.

Enjoy your new 4Runner! Best suv ever in my opinion!

Was hoping that you would have remeasured and shown the before and after height measurements.
Yeah sorry. Sometimes I get going and forget to slow down and get the details. 😐

Yes you can reach in with wrenches on either end fairly easily.

did you have to do anything with the kdss system? i’m not familiar with 4 runners at all, im doing this installation for side work.
It did not seem to have any impact on that system working from my experience.
Do you not need new UCAs at this height? Does the max height setting require aftermarket UCAs?

"Does this modification you made make the ride of the truck smooth or hard?"
@@ricardoherrera5226 It didn’t seem to change the ride quality at all. Just the height.
What size are the control arm bolts,?
@@oc91five Uppers are 19mm. Lowers are 21mm I believe. Don’t have the car here to double check myself.
Ordering my leveling kit for my yukon now.. when can i drop it off?? Jk.😆
Not sure I know how to work on those GM rigs. It’s been a while. 🤣

Sorry if missed it, did they lift the rear as well?
No, the rear remained stock.
Bro do u have a 3 row in the 4Runner? Bc from what I heard 4Runner with a 3rd row sits a little lower that the other ones
No 3rd row in this one.
