I love mine. I too have it set up as a 72 hour bag and weighs a little over 30 pounds. I took it on a day hike just to test it out and could barely notice the weight. It is an excellent bag and extremely customizable. Completely worth the investment.
Great setup and great philosophies. It's great to see that you've invested time and money into items that are actually great quality, such as your snugpaks, Pathfinder kit, and bahco laplander. I do have a few recommendations though. 1, if weight is a concern, I'd say get rid of the hatchet and shovel. The Schrade is plenty enough for chopping small branches and digging poo holes. Plus, sawing trees is monumentally quieter than hacking at them, so you can stay completely splinter cell whilst bugging out. 2, while the laplander is absolutely a great saw, I feel it has become more of an antique that bushcrafters tend to cling to. I would HIGHLY recommend the silky pocketboy or zubat, as the blades are curved, handles are designed perfectly for the pull stroke, and are just as resistant to the elements as the laplander. 3, the snugpak Poncho will cover yourself and the pack. I'd say lose the pack cover and add 2 heavy mil 55 gallon drum liners because they have many more functions than a rain cover. But as you said, to each their own.
Very nice kit you have. I agree, there is no ultimate or best, as some folks like to claim. The only thing that you're missing that I would maybe want is an extra pair of sox and underwear. I appreciate you sharing your bag with us and best of luck to you.
Thank you for stopping by and showing some love , i really injoy putting out info that important to the urban dweller , i thank you for your comments and thank you for subscribing.
Thank you so very much your comment is really appreciate, i really hope people injoy and learn from my videos , i try too share as much info as i can , again thank you for your support.
Lockpick: Small enough to store in wallet Bolt Cutters: Even in this controlled scenario, you don't have them. Even if you did, consider weight and bulk.
I have just recently purchased a Lishi two-on-one lockpick system from Imminent Threat Solutions and I do have a small bolt cutters and have also remove some items due to its weight and its use.
Great video man I completely agree with you on all aspects of this video i just subbed and i also plan on grabbing this bag I currently own the trident 21 which is great but i kinda want something more like this for its size my edc bag is the expedition entity 19 which is really close to the size of what I considered my shtf bag (the trident 21)which imo is kinda dumb lol so I’ll be switching that out
Hey your right and i do have a sleeping bag and shelter but the type of sleeping bag that's used depends on the type of year , and since weight is a Factor i keep three different type's always at the ready .
" Hard city Raindrops " , 72hrs is the time that is given for anyone to leave their homes in the event that people looting and rioting happen to fall upon your home and break in and in order to stay safe you have to bug out you take this bag with enough supplies to last you at least 72 hours , im sure the average person with skills like I have would make it before the 72 hours is up.
@@UrbanTacticalSurvival don't get me wrong I want the bag for 72 hours but for bugging out for me that bag has to be prepped for at least one year. I don't have a location to go to. I plan on hiking up to this Appalachian Mountains where I live in Pennsylvania and that's just where I would have to survive out of my bag so it has to be really large that bad just wouldn't get it done.
I don't know of any that will give you a years worth of supplies, for that you would need a bug out location, try your hands with the eberlestock bags they are another favorite of mines.
Urban Tactical Survival my bag is a 5.11 Rush 72, weight, without water is 32.5 pounds. For me, that’s a little heavy to carry comfortable. I can’t shave or get rid of anything, I feel I need every item I have. It’s geared more for urban survival. So my only alternative is to get a bag that makes carrying that weight easier and I was looking at your bag.
@@concernedpatriot.2221 its all about your skill level, that will dictate how much equipment you actually carry, i will be doing another video on this bag with the scaled-down version and supplies.
Norse Woodman I agree. He 5.11 has much more organization but terrible at carrying weight. With the same exact gear, the markhor appears to weigh half the weight then the 5.11. I carry 32.5 lbs not counting water and carry it with no problem. Best investment I have made was buying the markhor
Great video about your setup...but...that entire kit looks brand new. I won't take any ones review or opinion on any gear unless I see it being used in the field and over a decent amount of time. Anyone can pour all kinds of praise on any piece of kit right out of the box but only after using it for a year or two do you really have the "authority" to make an honest review. So, great vid overall but I suggest getting out and beating the shit out of it and giving your viewers a validated over-all opinion. I've decided not to give a full in depth review on any of my gear until I have used it for at least 1 year. Cheers!
New, yes and no , its a new bag for me but i have been put on several camping trips and overnight trips I've taken his bag on day hikes just to test it and it has become my go-to bag for my camping trips, it doesn't look new now because i have done a wear and tear test on the bag and as stated in the video this bag is bomb-proof.
Thank you for viewing my video , but in the video this bag is a large bag ment for 3-4 day hiking trip or a bug-out situation if the need arises and you're right this bag is not meant to be used as an EDC bag.
I'm loving this bag, it's just out of my price range right now. I think I've seen every review on this bag.
With time and savings everthing can be achieved , i saved to get this bag.
Nice setup, trying to build mine up and it may take going out and back a couple times to see if I need a different bag for my needs

You can never have too many underwear and socks lol
in your bag
I use everclear to fuel my alcohol stove with can also for sanitizing your hands!
Very good setup.

New follower brother like your setup well said I agree
thank you my brother, I really hope others will see this and get the message.
Do you still feel the same about this bag watching reviews thinking about this bag❤️🇺🇸
Yes this is a bomb proof bag that can take a lot of rugged handling, I've had it on some 3 day trips and it held all my food and supplies.
@@UrbanTacticalSurvival that don't you like about it❤️🇺🇸
Does the pack sit up high enough to carry sidearm on waist?
No it doesn't, it would be very uncomfortable and difficult to carry a sidearm with this bag the waist belt is just to thick to allow it.
So no sleeping bag or blanket??

@@UrbanTacticalSurvival Are you able to pack the sleeping bag inside the bag or outside. Just curious? Thanks for responding
What's the pouch you keep your fire kit in?
Its just a basic pouch from 5.11
@@UrbanTacticalSurvival okay thank you
Who's bugging out for 72hrs lol? shtf situation would be months at a time not a few days. Cool bag though might pick that up long term pack.

What’s the total weight on that bag with your gear ?
I have not officially gotten an exact weight on it but it feels like 35-40 lbs. And i can knock that down by eliminating some luxury items.

Has giant hammer attached to bag.......... but has cool guy hardened knuckle tactical gloves to "punch through glass"......... I can't.
This bag is just too huge! Not for EDC

Well, your gear looks completly unused, all of it. Cool video though.
Well let me tell you yes it is used I've been on more than 3-6 trips in a two months time i just keep my stuff clean .
