My 1 and only trip to the Keys was spent in the hospital for 2 weeks I was able to try conch soup on my last day there it was pretty awesome. We went from the plane to the hospital (my appendix ruptured) then from hospital to the plane then home to my local hospital for 2 more weeks. I am trying to get my hubby to go back but he was traumatized by the experience, I keep showing him your videos to inspire him to want to go again.

That was the best. I’ve never caught lobster and have only had it once. But I love the fact that you catch and cook with friends. That’s the way to do it. God provides.

Ja Y most fishermen break the antennas to indicate they are short so they aren’t caught again .. now this isn’t always the case as some lobster fight back when they are attacked and loose their antenna.
Mike 1204 the body of the lobster when measured legally should fit from the top between the eyes to the back edge of the shell . For a lobster to be legal it has to measure the length but the gauge shouldn’t have excess room to be pushed down ... in the video it looks like he touches the body but if you take that exact same lobster and push the gauge down and it goes over the body then it’s short any fwc officer will fine you for this very heavily . Trust me take it from a fl keys local and not some tourist who’s never caught lobster in his life ^ aka the creator of this video . I mean no disrespect by what I’m saying all My intend was to educate people the right way so you don’t get taken to jail for something stupid

Never had a spider crab that I remember, but we had stone crab traps out at Card Sound Road we used to go out at Alabama Jack's when I was still pretty young, late teens early 20's for 11 years I fished with the greatest friend Martin (Senior) Arostegui
& son Gonzalo, you may have seen his son Martin's videos before, back then he was head Dr. Out at Cedars of Lebanon hospital , they were good to me I had to get away from abuse at home so it's nice to see you with your friends and family., I have no one here, I'm all alone in Louisiana, boy do I miss fishing, really bad, I love watching you today on here in the water there.

I just want to clarify that sea deck is comfy but after just a few months will start to come up on the edges. It’s stuck down to the deck by stick and peal. Go with nuteak decking instead. Pricier but 100x better and better looking.

When I lived in the keys and we would go boating, we would be on the Bay, riding around until we would see white spots on the bottom in about 10' of water, these white spots were actually where grouper and big fish have gotten, and with their tails, removed all the grass, It would be loaded with lobster and fish, we cleaned up!
