Korean Hospital for Foreigners - Advanced Medical Tourism in Korea

  • One of the most underrated things about living in Asia is the affordable, quality, medical care here. I've traveled and lived in many countries in Asia and had the privilege of experiencing great hospitals here but there's something about Shihwa Medical Center. I am already convinced Korea offers the best medical tourism in Asia as they are practically second to none in the level of care, but they even offer it at one of the most affordable prices. However, it's really hard to recommend one hospital over another as they all offer great quality care. This is where Shihwa medical center stands out as they don't just offer quality medical care at affordable prices but they are a hospital that prioritizes foreign patients with an international center staffed with a huge staff of coordinators who genuinely care about their patients. Here's my private tour of the best hospital for foreigners in not only Korea, but maybe all of Asia

    Hey guys! Just wanted to let you know Shihwa Medical Center is currently in the process of maintaining and updating their English website so the health checkup plans are not listed there yet. It will be updated in a week or so however so please check with them in the future as I believe they offer some of the best care for foreigners in Korea :)

    I had a full check up last year in Seoul with minor surgery. It was insane! I was blown away by the quality and super affordable prices. It actually made me angry and frustrated with our American healthcare system.

      Yeah you’ve seen the light. Honestly it’s as much credit to Korea as it’s as much of a rebuke of our American system because I will regularly run into people in Asia from other countries that tell me it’s actually even cheaper in their country. It might not be as good as Korea but they are least have a give and take but the American healthcare system is so broken you’re almost getting no benefit over another country unless you’re the ultra rich that can afford the very very best

    Great video. I am in Canada. We do have free healthcare but NOT on that level. I will look for the info. I have so many different health issues that it would take years of appointments before getting a good diagnosis. I will look it up. Thank you for sharing 🙂

      Yeah I was invited to do another hospital last year and they’re super nice too but this one caters a lot more to foreigners with a super large international department!

    hey nathan in korea although it may not cost you "your arm + legs + Kidney" it does however cost that of a "laptop" price right? (may be cheap as 100 usd to 700 usd ish depends on what )

    • @livetravelasia
      @livetravelasia  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure if you’re gonna have a heart bypass surgery I imagine it’ll cost more then a laptop but let’s say it’s a no brainer for anyone that’s experienced Korean healthcare to pay 2000 bucks in airline tickets to get their procedures done in Korea annually. Not only are the procedures, health checkups cheaper, but they are better performed with a higher degree of professionalism then I’ve experienced in the states. You won’t see anyone complain about the healthcare in Korea
