  • This is our clients 2023 Long Range Model Y 7 seater that has the appearance of a pre August 15, 2022 Model Y Performance. He provided us some second hand calipers off a performance Y so that we can convert it to that oem spec. DON'T FORGET TO ORDER THE ELECTRONIC PARKING BRAKE HARNESS FROM TESLA. WE USED PART NUMBERS LISTED BELOW.
    All you need to do is source the calipers and the oem rear caliper harness.
    TESLA:

      You will also need the correct electronic parking brake harness from tesla.

    Learning something today, never realized the LR and Performance front calipers were the same. Hope you’re well Rishie!

    What will make the Model y performance handle more like a factory model 3 performance in the twistys? Will kw v3's alone do the job on stock wheels and tires?

    Hi Rishie, how do the MPP comfort coilovers (non-adjustable) and the FPX cloud spec coilovers compare in terms of ride compliance and comfort?
    Also, does anyone know what mud flaps are on this Model Y?

      They're the Spigen WeatherBloc mud guards. Very low profile but they unfortunately don't do much.

    So i can have the new smaller rear calipers on the long range but the get the performance rear rotors? The only difference is the pad wont cover the whole surface area. Is that correct?

      @zevcentric  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      no the performance rotor is also wider so it won't fit in the mando caliper.

    Are the rear performance calipers from the 2023 Y compatible as plug-and-play components for the 2023 YLR?

      YES 😂 the 23 Y performance is the same caliper as the 23 LR just painted red and with a caliper cover. Here's our blog post about it zevcentric.com/blogs/zevcentric-news/model-y-performance-brakes-are-now-the-same-as-the-long-range-y-teardown

    I have a 22 model y long range watched this video I Bought front and rear used performance calipers and dust shields just went to install them but the electronic plug doesn’t fit is there a kit I can buy or did I just waste $1500 + for nothing??

    • @zevcentric
      @zevcentric  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You need to order the harness from Tesla that is compatible with the performance rear caliper.

      We made a note of that in the description of the video as well. Here's the part #'s that worked on this Y. 1188784-00-A (Wire Component R - EPB - Plus)
      1188783-00-A (Wire Component L - EPB - Plus)
