    Accidentally I watched this video and I found that the word Cidade. As a Sinhalese speaker from Sri Lanka we also called a city as “Cidadi”. I assume that word comes to us by Portuguese. There are so many words come to our language from Portugal because Costal areas in our country belonged to Portugal in 1505.

      @@MiaEsmerizAcademy it says Naththal - Christmas, Kapiringna, Baila, Viyole- violin, Boththam - Buttons, Keju- cheese, Thappa - wall, Peerisi- plates, Koppa- cups, Thachchi- source pan, Pochchi- pots, rathingna- fire crackers, Kalisam- trousers, Sithasi- summons, Mangnokka- Manioc, Themparadu- fry, Rambutan- a fruit, Kasada- marriage, Baaldi- bucket, Pipingna- cucumber, Almaari- wardrobes, Seppu- safe lockers, Kanappu- desk, Peekudu- chicken liver and Bastham- kind of a stick comes from Portuguese but I could n’t find any translation of each word in google translate.

    • @MiaEsmerizAcademy
      @MiaEsmerizAcademy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Até já is until right now, as I said in the video, because it’s like when you’re only going to go away for a little bit. So, you say until now or until right away, cause you’ll only leave for a short period of time. Até lá literally means “until then”, so it means something like until that time that we know we are going to see each other again. 😊 it’s not as common to say this, but we do say it sometimes 😊 “já” is “right now”, “lá” is “then” in this case 😊

    Sempre que saía de um supermercado em Portugal, dizia "ate logo" e não importava com quem estava a falar, eles caíam na gargalhada. Não sei se foi minha pronúncia ruim ou foi uma coisa estranha de se dizer para um caixa.

    • @hi.imSara
      @hi.imSara 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Se calhar é porque “até logo” significa que daqui a pouco tempo(talvez umas horas) vocês se vão encontrar outra vez. Mas normalmente uma pessoa não vai ao supermercado duas vezes no mesmo dia. Uma boa alternativa é até à próxima ou adeus, obrigado 😊 É comum esta situação acontecer(alguém não usar “até logo” muito bem) porque talvez não aprendeu especificamente o que é e situações de uso

      Olá! Eu não entendo o motivo alguém rir quando você diz até logo. Aqui no Brasil nós podemos dizer até logo ou até mais. É mais comum dizer até mais.
