    O meo cão não consegue voar.
    I think a good way to translate these two words in English and avoid confusions would be to say poder means may and conseguir means can (but only as being able to). There is a little joke in English to illustrate that: "Can I smoke here, auntie?" "Yes, you can, but you may not."

    So then, can you explain how to use the word capaz. Example capaz de comer (able to eat.?

    • @MiaEsmerizAcademy
      @MiaEsmerizAcademy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ser capaz de = to be able to, so it’s like “conseguir”. But it can also be like “I might” as in “I might just do that”. Imagine someone suggests something to you, if you think it’s a good idea and you’re thinking maybe you should do it, you can say “sou capaz de fazer isso” (lit. I’m capable of doing that; not literally: I might just do that). I hope this helps 😊

    If I am blind and I will say "I can not see" What would I use, consiguir? Não consigo ver? And what if I am not blind, just there is a hindrance, how would I say " I can not see" ? Não posso ver? Is it right?

    • @MiaEsmerizAcademy
      @MiaEsmerizAcademy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You would say "não consigo ver" in the last example and if you were really blind you would say it differently, like "Sou invisual" or "Não vejo"...somehow it does not sound natural to say "não consigo ver" when it is a blind person...it sounds more you would say that if you had a hindrance at the moment that didn't allow you to see. I hope this makes sense :)
