I've only been at it for 2 or 3 years now, off and on. 3 beat weaves came naturally to me, because of being young and spinning a staff side to side pretending to be a ninja. That grew into butterflies, thread-the-needles, and some body tracers. Split time is where I feel at home for the most part. This wasn't a tutorial I needed, but you've got a way of opening my eyes to differences from my own outlook, and that's why I am and will continue being subscribed. You are much appreciated and much loved, and I look forward to seeing more of your insight

Great job. I managed to pick it up in a rainy night and a rainy morning. Its those subtle movements that get me, too. Keep on spinnin' 🖖

Love the new background Drex! The different camera angles are a excellent idea, makes it so much easier to see exactly what you're doing

That was really cool, a quick break down, newer poi spinners can understand and apply this and open up a lot of things and understandings for them at an efficient rate

I like the format. Would also to see a compressed short of just the actual practice section. Then this leads to the short, and the short leads back for more explanation.

I definitely enjoy the new format! I felt like the content was a little easier to digest.
It felt my more like a personal lesson than like a class.

The breakdown of this move is great along with the different camera angles. This format is casual, easy to follow and feels more personable when you added your own experience in understanding the move. Looking forward to the next instalment 👏👍

I absolutely needed this and have tried to learn these so many times drex. I'm so stoked you did this and I've been watching you thru my whole journey of the flow arts and I am still to this day going to continue to be a Patreon of yours as long as I can. :-) so thankful for your videos and mentioning me at the end of your videos as a Patreon makes me smile every time I see a video. Makes me.not give up on my own journey and reminds me I do good things for others also. I began teaching a class this past year and I'm just so stoked u did this video you have no idea how exciting it is to me

I really loved this video, though I would've like some progression suggestions (like archer weave fountain). I know this is a beginner video, however as a beginner I found myself stuck in basic moves and not learning how to transition between moves

Hi Drex, I love your videos, how toos they have helped me to learn, is it possible for you to do a video that the moves are all left handed or left handed led please? As you are one of the few that will do things occasionally from left handed perspective it's very hard to try to learn new techniques when they are mirrored and right-handed.
