- Welcome to the Peak District! We're exploring some of the best things to do here such as Castleton, Peveril Castle, Bamford Edge, Thor's Cave, Parkhouse Hill, Chrome Hill and more!

The village of Castleton is possibly one of the most popular towns in the Peak District and Peveril Castle sits at the top of a hill above the Peak Cavern (one of the 3 famous caves in Castleton alongside Blue John Cavern and Speedwell Cavern).
We also do 2 easy hikes that you can do on your visit to the peak district, the first is a 2 mile circular to see the mindblowing views from Bamford Edge and the 2nd hike is a 3.5 mile circular to the famous and recognisable Thor's Cave which has been used in multiple movies and is an incredible sight to see!
To top it all of we head to the lesser-known hills of Parkhouse Hill and Chrome Hill to catch an epic sunset to finish off the video, so make sure to stay tuned to the end!

Just stumbled across your channel and really liking your content. Really enjoyed the combination of history and hiking in this video. I’ve been to the Peak District quite a few times but never visited Castletown. I’ll have to drag my partner there for a bit of a history tour next time we’re in the area! You can park extremely close on the road next to Bamford edge, the road is called New Road, free parking all along there! Hope that helps!

Indeed! We made sure to visit that, we went in the evening and it was so peaceful. As an added bonus we also saw hundreds of seals from the coast of holy island as well! Video from Northumberland coming soon!
