Exceptional human being he was. I admired him when I was 8 and I still do now at 45. How he coped with the entire weight of the world on his shoulders I will never know.
@ayaanbremitchell9830 I just want to thank you and @InfectiousGroovePodcast for admiring this (EXCEPTIONAL HUMAN BEING) which are the (EXACT SAME WORDS) I’ve been using (ALL DAY TODAY) within the comments sections of the different TH-cam uploads to do with this (LEGENDARY ENIGMA) for as many years as I’ve loved this man myself from the early 1980s and especially since the early 1990s as well too. (I’M SO PROUD OF (MY BROTHER) MICHAEL JOSEPH JACKSON.) And thank you ((BOTH) MY BROTHERS) (WHOLEHEARTEDLY) for sympathising with the (INCREDIBLE PRESSURE) he must’ve been under with the whole weight of the (ENTIRE WORLD) on his shoulders which we as fellow people who once shared the Earth with this (EARTH ANGEL) will (NEVER) (EVER) know…. How he coped with it I won’t (EVER) understand myself. The man himself coupled with his music helped me (INCREDIBLY) through my own personal struggles within my own personal and private life in the past which is why I take it personal when people intentionally disrespect this (MAJESTIC MAN) which sometimes I must admit as a masculine man myself whilst feeling exhausted after sticking up for him whilst I myself are also being attacked for not allowing the attacker or attackers to attack Michael has brought me to tears behind closed doors in the past before……..
This man was the definition of musical genius and his videos played out the vision of his song perfectly. I was introduced to his catalog as a young kid by my mom and I'm still a fan at 32 years old
amazing... Michael was such a natural and spiritual person he cared about nature, animals, children, and races all over the world so much and he loved god...
That's why they try so much to replace him, diminish him, demonize him. Who,s artist- MJ is an artist, not mere singer, entertainer whatever- songs are sing by people on the streets when we need to feel community?...mainly his. Back in the days this particular song made me remain in front of the screen and feel it to my bones ( former metal head here and a bird nerd). Joseph Vogel, a music critic that wrote several good articles abt MJ's art and books such as Man in the music and MJ/the art of compassion. Earth song says that this song was born in Austria 88, during Bad tour. Jackson was surrounded by the man made environment and he suddenly felt the pain and the cry of this planet. According to him this song is inspiring activism, it's an ,,apocalypse in reverse,, that calls for action. MJ said in his last rehearsal that he wants that this song to ,,open people,s consciousness,,. He was talking in 92 about ecology too. ,,Michael Jackson was sounding the alarm, not only for the environment, but numerous other pressing social and political issues. In the 90,s he was one of the most influential global messengers for environmentalism,,- Joseph Vogel. This is what Michael was doing, calling for action, together. We can't wait always for others to resolve the problems, the power is in us, Can you feel it, We are the world, Heal the world, Man in the mirror (without his rendition and his vision it would had been just a very good song not an anthem), We,ve had enough, Beat it, and so on. Thank you for this reaction. Sorry for leaving such essays. When I will start my social media page abt MJ for sure I will let ppl know abt you. Right now social media for me it's kinda the gate of hell, noise, shouts, bats and swords, haha.
We totally and COMPLETELY agree with everything you said. It's so sad that so many let themselves be misled about Michael Jackson by the mass media but we're grateful that us and people like you know the truth.
When will we wake up and realise what we are doing and this song should be a worldwide anthem so our children get a chance to experience and enjoy what is left 😢❤😢❤
Michael Jackson had the abilities to see things as they are and to care about it. I wish more people got how incredibly powerful that is. I agree with everything Russ said. Kind of want to know more about what Lauren thinks, after having had the chance to take it all in for a bit? I you ever felt like doing a follow-up I'd like to listen to Lauren on that. I can see how you took it all in, some don't, you know? Some shield off in different ways. I know you know the songs and have seen the stage version so the concept isn't new, but the film is alot in it's own. It adds alot. It really interests me to see people discovering it and listen to their thoughts. To me, it is so strong to have someone channel the emotions that I carry around about the things happening that break me inside. Even if one puts the film's esthetics and the artistic representations of this aside, when someone outside of me mirrors that on the same vibe, like MJ do; I react so strongly - it's not pretty to watch (and hey, that's why I don't react on camera!). It creates a space between me and the medium (and Michael) where it's possible to care from the heart, from the soul, inside - out, with the intensity it actually carries.
Lauren just read through your comment and said "that's a great question, I need to think on it and put some thoughts together". So she will reply in the coming days :)
Thanks for your thoughtful comment! So, for me, this was more or less just putting the puzzle pieces together. I've seen the vision for the performance of this song in This is It, so this short film didn't really surprise me in any way--because I'd already seen where the visual representation was going to go a decade or so later. That said-- I love MJ's consistency. His drive and conviction were always clear and in the forefront, and this is no different.
No one can even remotely understand the weight on MJ’s shoulders. He was not only the most famous and influential person to walk the face of the earth in the last 100 years but he relentlessly used his position to try and bring about peace and love back into the world. I laugh when people think stats of today are famous, but when you lived through MJ and saw with your own eyes that he could not even go anywhere ever without being stalked relentlessly by thousands of fans that would even shut down cities because he was rumored to be staying there, you haven’t seen fame. He was the icon of icons in a modern way and his music continues to live that legacy of timelessness
@@8cylinderstolife737 we totally agree. We love Michael Jackson. We have many, many videos praising him on the channel and we make it a point to talk a LOT about how famous his was and how poorly the world treated him.
"What about children dying? Can't you hear them cry? Where did WE go wrong? Can someone tell me WHY?" That line always gets me to shed a couple of tears because I think about my community that I used to live in and now that I'm seeing and hearing people being false advocates to the place im in now makes me so angry and sad. I know we as a people and the animals and the Earth and planets all have choices to make. Choose wisely. Incredible singing and seriousness by Michael Jackson.
Exceptional human being he was. I admired him when I was 8 and I still do now at 45. How he coped with the entire weight of the world on his shoulders I will never know.
I (Russ) feel the exact same way. It's stunning how much he was able to withstand from the world.

This video says it all that humans discover and destroy we should be ashamed
