As a fan of Avatar the Last Airbender, I LOVE Monkair; I think you did wonderful! The design is adorable, it's a beautiful reference, and the colors work perfectly! And monkeys are often considered mischievous little pranksters, atleast in the West, which fits Aang's playful and fun-loving nature to a t!

Mousplotch is a BABY oh my god. I will never, ever get tired of mouse Pokémon, they’re my favorite animal and they always make such adorable Pokémon! I also really enjoy Monkair, it’s so cute but it also definitely looks like it’s super powerful.
So I don't know if you had it in mind, but Mousplotch reminds me of the Wii game Epic Mickey, where Mickey falls into a world made of ink, giving the whole game a sort of ink-and-watercolor look. I think the one ear that looks like it's splashing made me think of it, since Mickey's idle animation has little globs of ink floating up from his ears and head in that game.
I would love to see a Bluey Pokémon. She's so recognizable nowadays and her being a dog makes here relatively easy to implement into Pokémon. Just a thought
what if Monkair had a move where each time you use it, the type of the move rotates between fire, water, ground, and flying damage. Even if you switch out Monkair the next time you use the move it will still be the type that you left off on. Allowing the user to essentially switch out and preserve the type the move has next for later in the battle. edit - omg imagine truegreen noticed this 😭

A Water/Fire-type Donald Duck to reflect his explosive temperament would be FANTASTIC, I think, if you're looking for ideas, or maybe a Steel/Fighting and Steel/Dark Legendary duo based off of Optimus Prime and Megatron of Transformers fame.
I can imagine Harot having a baby form, firstly as a reference to Baby Looney Tunes and Buster Bunny, and secondly as a reference to baby carrots. And then to complete the trio, whilst Harot could take the obvious meme route of evolving into Big Chungus, I actually think a more unique take could use Brünhilde Bugs Bunny and turn the cane into a golden spear/lance and make it a grass/steel pokemon (also a pun on carat-gold)
I would totally see a regional variant of Harot that has become lethargic due to the region's cold weather, and due to storing fat to keep cool, it evolves into a Big Chungus Pokemon, like you said
A Brünhilde Bugs evolution should get a signature move that's a much better version of attract that works on any gender of Pokémon except for maybe the unknown and Pokémon with oblivious would still not be effected.
Id love to see him do mordecai and rigby itd be very intresting to see him try to do two diffrent animals in one pokemon. Or he could do two separate Pokémon and when they evolve they combine into one? ( not combine but you know )

A Blue Jay and Raccoon Duo based on Mordecai and Rigby from Regular Show. 4. A small Humanoid Pokemon with 10 different Evolutions based on Ben Tennyson from Ben 10. (Evo-Types can be based on Ben's various Aliens, ex. fire = Heatblast.) 5. A Normal/Flying-type Beagle based on Snoopy from Peanuts. 6. A Steam Engine-like Pokemon based on Thomas The Tank Engine. 7. Something I wanted to mention about Mousplotch idk if this was intentional or not... but in the game Epic mickey, Mickey is sometimes shown with some sort of ink-like substance leaking from him and hovering in the air, just like Mousplotch. just saying this cuz its rlly similar :p
Idea for a Triplet Pokemon based on Animaniacs: Yakko - Normal/Steel Wakko - Normal/Fighting Dot - Normal/Fairy The gimmick is similar to Tandemaus and Maushold so they are genderless, they change their secondary type by the member leading through their ability Wacky Leader which changes the leading member through the type of the move they are gonna use that matches the second type

I like how Sponjoy looks more like DoodleBob. I also like how Harot's design does exactly how I would've done it (except maybe the typing). Something in between the actual Bugs Bunny and a real rabbit. So a bepedal rabbit. I do like the touch of having a carrot as a cane though. As for cartoon characters I'd like to see, first of all, I'd like to see a return to Loony Tunes with perhaps Bugs's eternal rival, Daffy Duck. If you do a callback to Disney, I'd recommend Goofy. And for other cartoon characters, how about Garfield? I know Garfield is technically from a comic strip, but they're also referred to as cartoons (I think), and there were a couple of cartoon series made with Garfield. And I've been trying to avoid this, since Pokemon has already made references, but I'm a Brony and will say it. My Little Pony Pokemon. If not MLP, maybe a Transformers Pokemon (it could have a vehicle form that you can ride (I know Miraidon already does this, but I'd like to see a full vehicle mode)). And for another idea, make a Pokemon based on Megabyte or Hexadecimal from the CGI cartoon, Reboot.

Great designs - Monkair is probably my favorite. It's giving off some Sun Wukong vibes too. If you do a part 2, it would be cool to see a Daffy Duck Fakemon that's a rival to Harot, Zangoose/Seviper style.
I've been playing around with the idea of T-Bone and Razor from the SWAT Kats if they were designed as Pokemon. The idea of them having a split evolution would be fun! The three way split evo to represent their jobs: Enforcers, Mechanics and Vigilante Heroes. I dunno how you'd make the SWAT Kats as Fakemon, but that'd be REALLY cool! And a nice tribute to celebrate the SWAT Kats' 30th anniversary!

I cannot put into words how incredible the SpongeBob Pokémon was. It perfectly encapsulates the vibe and look of SpongeBob while looking like a Pokémon you would find walking around the shore. 1000/10
Monkair is probably my favourite out of the bunch. I really like the colours and how turning Aang into a monkey feels so seemless. I can imagine it's idle animations in the. When above 50%, it'll sway side to side without a care in the world. Once Spirit State kicks in, it's blue parts will glow white, it'll jump spin into the air and then levitate in place striking a similar pose the one Aang when we got a good look at him in his full avatar state in the battle with Ozai.
This is a great idea! I love Monkair a ton! It would be cool to see the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as Pokémon, all fighting types with their secondary typings based on the color of their bands (water for Leonardo, Psychic for Donatello, Fire for Raphael, and electric for Michelangelo
i love how you put attention in not only the design but their stats and abilities as well. like spongebob being a literal damage sponge with no attack power whatsoever, and the abilty water absorb/unaware works too perfectly
honestly i think for female Mousplotch should (in my opinion) have Minnie mouse colours since in some Minnie mouse art she is just Mickey with a bow and a dress ( yes I do get it if more modern art makes Micky and Minnie more different to each other I just think they look quite similar) just an idea.

I actually recently thought about Arthur as a Pokemon, but rather than focusing on him as a character, I thought it would be nice to reference what I think is one of the most important and iconic parts of the show : the dream or imagination sequences. It would be an aardvark with the psychic type and a focus on vivid dreams or imagination. I think you could turn that into a Pokemon, but I know there are a lot more iconic characters you would have to get through first (such as those included in your intro).
As a "SpongeBob SquarePants" fan, I say you did a splendid job designing Sponjoy. You really captured SpongeBob's attributes while making pretty unique-feeling Fakémon. Impressive. I'd like to see a Danny Phantom-themed Pokémon in the near future.
I'm actually pretty sure Hamtaro is a japanese cartoon, but honestly I would love to see that adventuring lil hamster as a Pokemon! I immediately think of Courage, Clifford, Rollie Pollie Ollie, and way way more. I watched [and still watch!] a lot of cartoons. I may try making some of my personal favorites into Pokemon too!

Ren and Stimpy Catdog Gargoyles Duck Tales Clifford Tales Spin Are few other ideas. Might show my age with some of the ones i listed. Personally I think Gargoyles would be perfect for a mythical Pokemon. I can see Gargoyles being these various types Dark/Posion, Ghost/Rock, or Fighting/Flying Clifford could be a legendary Pokemon due to its size. Ground/ghost or Dragon/ghost would be interesting types to see. The other ones listed could be starters
I think a Popeye Pokémon would be pretty interesting to make what with his already massive forearms, he could be water/fighting. I also wouldn't mind some classic 90s cartoon like Ren and Stimpy, Dexter, or even CatDog. Then maybe Bender from Futurama for an adult cartoon contender, obviously he would be a steel type but I think a dual dark typing would make sense for him because of his criminal ways.
I like that mickey is so smol, witch might make him more cute, and when im imagining his final phase, im kinda expecting the look of mouse.avi(white eyes and a *REALLY BIG* toothy grin).

It’s funny how your Mickey Pokémon is similar to Bendy, being that its made out of ink (Bendy is from Bendy and The Ink Machine/Dark Revival.) It would be cool if you did Tom and Jerry, also Eda or Luz from the owl house would be cool too. It would also be cool to include some indie cartoons like Helluva Boss or Murder Drones.

Okay, review/critique time! 1) Sponjoy: The design looks good. I was also imagining this Fakémon could also be a Fry Cook, just like Spongebob is. So, I would imagine Sponjoy, working at a fast food restaurant in the Pokémon world! 🍔 2) Mousplotch: This could also be a Fakémon that was from the 1930s, since old-timey cartoons were like that back then. I would also imagine the creator of Mousplotch, owning his own theme park too! And I was also imagining the sound of Mousplotch would make: either "Hot dog!" or Mickey's trademark laugh. 3) Monkair: This Fakémon could also be based off of Sun Wukong from a Chinese novel called "Journey to the West". So, I wouldn't mind using this Fakémon on my team, if it was an actual Pokémon! That way, I would not only win on battles, but I would also call it "Aang" too! 🐒 and finally, 4) Harot: It could also be a Fakémon from those classic cartoons as well! I would imagine that its evolution would be based off of Ace Bunny from Loonatics Unleashed! As for the sound it makes, I'm sure it would be either "What's up, doc?" (Bugs Bunny's catchphrase), or just "Doc"? 🤔
I would honestly love to Winnie the Pooh become a pokemon. It could be a pure normal type with high HP and defenses, and okay offensive stats, but even it out, making it slower. Also, I think it'd be funny to have one of his possible abilities could be honey gather. Finally it's signature move could reference how much he likes honey.

A Grass Finn Mertens Pokemon (Grass because of the grass axe and fern, a fake version of finn made of leaves) Name: Adventrose ( Adventure/Rose) Shiny Reference: Bubblegum Category: Plant Person Type: Grass, Normal Dex Entries: Adventrose loves to have fun with other Pokemon, they use the power they are granted with for good as well as fun, they can regrow any lost limbs, except from fire damage. They hang out and train with any other grass types, but when playtime is over they (very much like Slidachi), make weapons out of their hands. A Gumball Pokemon Name: Sarcatstic ( Sarcastic/Cat) Type: Normal, Fairy Category: Amazing World Dex Entries: Sarcatstic tend to be very lazy and always drag out other Pokemon randomly. When they do battle, they easily get bored if their opponent is too weak, and will do the same thing just to taunt a stronger Pokemon.

@@nigelwinslow Poison is because ink can be toxic. And normal is probably because Mickey Mouse is so generic in traits and personality that he can be a regular in a SquareEnix JRPG series and not feel out of place alongside Cloud and Sephirot.
I love this idea and it inspired me to do something similar. As an artist I tend to love taking inspiration from other ideas as a way to extend my skill sets and find new passions
I love the monkey Aang, not only you played with the word monk but it's also a good detail on the anime influence on the show. With the whole shounen protagonists are based on Goku who is based on Sun Wukon. A nice full circle there.
Some other possibilities of characters could be Roger from American Dad, Brian or Stewie Griffin from family guy, Bill from Gravity Falls, Mordecai and Rigby from Regular Show, Kenny from Southpark, Rick from Rick and Morty. Definitely a lot of potential with this series.
I'd personally go with a form of the "Illusion" ability or prankster for the rabbit. He does tend to disguise himself pretty often, so maybe something where it appears as a different, random wild pokemon? I'd say disguise but that's already mimikyu's thing... maybe... something called "Pallet swap"? They'd change type depending on the area, kinda similar to "forecast..." but based on fight area instead of weather. It'd work towards the "prankster" motif Bugs had, literally changing his appearance depending on who he's pranking on a given day (examples: dressing up as Daffy while doing the "duck season, fire!" gag... or crossdressing when humans like Fudd were involved.)
Funny enough I was just rewatching Danny Phantom so I'd love to see him as a pokemon. I think he'd be Ghost / Normal type to reference the fact that he's a Halfa (in-universe term for half ghost hybrid). The shiny can also reference Danny's jumpsuit being mostly white with black accents from before he turned on the portal.

As a fan of Avatar the Last Airbender, I LOVE Monkair; I think you did wonderful! The design is adorable, it's a beautiful reference, and the colors work perfectly! And monkeys are often considered mischievous little pranksters, atleast in the West, which fits Aang's playful and fun-loving nature to a t!

Mousplotch is a BABY oh my god. I will never, ever get tired of mouse Pokémon, they’re my favorite animal and they always make such adorable Pokémon! I also really enjoy Monkair, it’s so cute but it also definitely looks like it’s super powerful.

So I don't know if you had it in mind, but Mousplotch reminds me of the Wii game Epic Mickey, where Mickey falls into a world made of ink, giving the whole game a sort of ink-and-watercolor look. I think the one ear that looks like it's splashing made me think of it, since Mickey's idle animation has little globs of ink floating up from his ears and head in that game.

what if Monkair had a move where each time you use it, the type of the move rotates between fire, water, ground, and flying damage. Even if you switch out Monkair the next time you use the move it will still be the type that you left off on. Allowing the user to essentially switch out and preserve the type the move has next for later in the battle.

And then to complete the trio, whilst Harot could take the obvious meme route of evolving into Big Chungus, I actually think a more unique take could use Brünhilde Bugs Bunny and turn the cane into a golden spear/lance and make it a grass/steel pokemon (also a pun on carat-gold)
I would totally see a regional variant of Harot that has become lethargic due to the region's cold weather, and due to storing fat to keep cool, it evolves into a Big Chungus Pokemon, like you said

The gimmick is similar to Tandemaus and Maushold so they are genderless, they change their secondary type by the member leading through their ability Wacky Leader which changes the leading member through the type of the move they are gonna use that matches the second type

I like how Sponjoy looks more like DoodleBob.
I also like how Harot's design does exactly how I would've done it (except maybe the typing). Something in between the actual Bugs Bunny and a real rabbit. So a bepedal rabbit. I do like the touch of having a carrot as a cane though.
As for cartoon characters I'd like to see, first of all, I'd like to see a return to Loony Tunes with perhaps Bugs's eternal rival, Daffy Duck. If you do a callback to Disney, I'd recommend Goofy. And for other cartoon characters, how about Garfield? I know Garfield is technically from a comic strip, but they're also referred to as cartoons (I think), and there were a couple of cartoon series made with Garfield. And I've been trying to avoid this, since Pokemon has already made references, but I'm a Brony and will say it. My Little Pony Pokemon. If not MLP, maybe a Transformers Pokemon (it could have a vehicle form that you can ride (I know Miraidon already does this, but I'd like to see a full vehicle mode)). And for another idea, make a Pokemon based on Megabyte or Hexadecimal from the CGI cartoon, Reboot.
Maybe Doodlebob could be a convergent form of Sponjoy (and Spongar could be a past paradox form, I'd probably call it "Absorbent Fury")
My ideas for cartoon Pokémon would be Zim, Oswald, Tom, Peter Griffin, Woody Woodpecker, Jerry, Garfield, Phineas and some more Looney Tunes characters.
I have a few suggestions:
-Draw characters from Gargoyles into Pokemon. You could even use those fakemon of the first members of the Manhattan Clan, (Goliath, Hudson, Brooklyn, Broadway, Lexington, and Bronx), as Eliza Maza's team of six pokemon?

I've been playing around with the idea of T-Bone and Razor from the SWAT Kats if they were designed as Pokemon.
The idea of them having a split evolution would be fun! The three way split evo to represent their jobs: Enforcers, Mechanics and Vigilante Heroes.
I dunno how you'd make the SWAT Kats as Fakemon, but that'd be REALLY cool! And a nice tribute to celebrate the SWAT Kats' 30th anniversary!

Always love your artwork, Ron! Especially with these character-based Pokémon. Question: how would Perry (from Phineas and Ferb) work as a Pokémon? Psyduck is currently the only Platypus-esk Pokémon we have, but that’s only because of the bill and tail, Inteleon is a semi-aquatic spy, and Honchkrow has a similar-shaped hat.
Platypus is semi-aquatic and one of the only mammals with venomous barbs. Therefore it could be Water/Poison
making it a convergent species to inteleon could Work

Monkair is probably my favourite out of the bunch. I really like the colours and how turning Aang into a monkey feels so seemless. I can imagine it's idle animations in the. When above 50%, it'll sway side to side without a care in the world. Once Spirit State kicks in, it's blue parts will glow white, it'll jump spin into the air and then levitate in place striking a similar pose the one Aang when we got a good look at him in his full avatar state in the battle with Ozai.
This is a great idea! I love Monkair a ton! It would be cool to see the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as Pokémon, all fighting types with their secondary typings based on the color of their bands (water for Leonardo, Psychic for Donatello, Fire for Raphael, and electric for Michelangelo
The secondary for the Turtle's also matches their personalities, the fluid leader, the smart inventor, the hot-headed warrior, and the energetic goof
i love how you put attention in not only the design but their stats and abilities as well. like spongebob being a literal damage sponge with no attack power whatsoever, and the abilty water absorb/unaware works too perfectly
honestly i think for female Mousplotch should (in my opinion) have Minnie mouse colours since in some Minnie mouse art she is just Mickey with a bow and a dress ( yes I do get it if more modern art makes Micky and Minnie more different to each other I just think they look quite similar) just an idea.

I actually recently thought about Arthur as a Pokemon, but rather than focusing on him as a character, I thought it would be nice to reference what I think is one of the most important and iconic parts of the show : the dream or imagination sequences. It would be an aardvark with the psychic type and a focus on vivid dreams or imagination. I think you could turn that into a Pokemon, but I know there are a lot more iconic characters you would have to get through first (such as those included in your intro).
As a "SpongeBob SquarePants" fan, I say you did a splendid job designing Sponjoy. You really captured SpongeBob's attributes while making pretty unique-feeling Fakémon. Impressive.

I think a Popeye Pokémon would be pretty interesting to make what with his already massive forearms, he could be water/fighting. I also wouldn't mind some classic 90s cartoon like Ren and Stimpy, Dexter, or even CatDog. Then maybe Bender from Futurama for an adult cartoon contender, obviously he would be a steel type but I think a dual dark typing would make sense for him because of his criminal ways.

Okay, review/critique time!
1) Sponjoy: The design looks good. I was also imagining this Fakémon could also be a Fry Cook, just like Spongebob is. So, I would imagine Sponjoy, working at a fast food restaurant in the Pokémon world! 🍔
2) Mousplotch: This could also be a Fakémon that was from the 1930s, since old-timey cartoons were like that back then. I would also imagine the creator of Mousplotch, owning his own theme park too! And I was also imagining the sound of Mousplotch would make: either "Hot dog!" or Mickey's trademark laugh.
3) Monkair: This Fakémon could also be based off of Sun Wukong from a Chinese novel called "Journey to the West". So, I wouldn't mind using this Fakémon on my team, if it was an actual Pokémon! That way, I would not only win on battles, but I would also call it "Aang" too! 🐒
and finally, 4) Harot: It could also be a Fakémon from those classic cartoons as well! I would imagine that its evolution would be based off of Ace Bunny from Loonatics Unleashed! As for the sound it makes, I'm sure it would be either "What's up, doc?" (Bugs Bunny's catchphrase), or just "Doc"? 🤔
I would honestly love to Winnie the Pooh become a pokemon. It could be a pure normal type with high HP and defenses, and okay offensive stats, but even it out, making it slower. Also, I think it'd be funny to have one of his possible abilities could be honey gather. Finally it's signature move could reference how much he likes honey.

I love how Harot is sort of a parallel to Scorbunny, a grass-type baseball themed bunny vs a fire-type soccer one. Now we just need a water type sports bunny - maybe a volleyball one if you do another anime characters as pokemon video and wanna do Haikyuu

Name: Slidachi (Red Eared Slider/Odachi)

Dex Entries: Slidachi are not easy to anger but when they are angered, they will do whatever it takes to protect their team.
when it's time to battle, they make katana blades with their water limbs.
Pre-Evolved or Turtle Tot Slidachi, practice their whole lives to be team leaders.
A Grass Finn Mertens Pokemon (Grass because of the grass axe and fern, a fake version of finn made of leaves)
Name: Adventrose ( Adventure/Rose)
Shiny Reference: Bubblegum
Category: Plant Person
Type: Grass, Normal
Dex Entries: Adventrose loves to have fun with other Pokemon, they use the power they are granted with for good as well as fun,
they can regrow any lost limbs, except from fire damage.
They hang out and train with any other grass types, but when playtime is over they (very much like Slidachi), make weapons out of their hands.
A Gumball Pokemon
Name: Sarcatstic ( Sarcastic/Cat)
Type: Normal, Fairy
Category: Amazing World
Dex Entries: Sarcatstic tend to be very lazy and always drag out other Pokemon randomly.
When they do battle, they easily get bored if their opponent is too weak, and will do the same thing just to taunt a stronger Pokemon.

Is Mousplotch a reference to Epic Mickey as well? Since in that game. Mickey had an ink paintbrush as a weapon.
Why poison normal for Mousplotch?
@@nigelwinslow Poison is because ink can be toxic. And normal is probably because Mickey Mouse is so generic in traits and personality that he can be a regular in a SquareEnix JRPG series and not feel out of place alongside Cloud and Sephirot.

I love this idea and it inspired me to do something similar. As an artist I tend to love taking inspiration from other ideas as a way to extend my skill sets and find new passions
Harot was my favorite!! I would love to see a Oswald the lucky rabbit design. He is my favorite Disney character
I love the monkey Aang, not only you played with the word monk but it's also a good detail on the anime influence on the show. With the whole shounen protagonists are based on Goku who is based on Sun Wukon. A nice full circle there.
Some other possibilities of characters could be Roger from American Dad, Brian or Stewie Griffin from family guy, Bill from Gravity Falls, Mordecai and Rigby from Regular Show, Kenny from Southpark, Rick from Rick and Morty. Definitely a lot of potential with this series.
I'd personally go with a form of the "Illusion" ability or prankster for the rabbit. He does tend to disguise himself pretty often, so maybe something where it appears as a different, random wild pokemon? I'd say disguise but that's already mimikyu's thing... maybe... something called "Pallet swap"? They'd change type depending on the area, kinda similar to "forecast..." but based on fight area instead of weather. It'd work towards the "prankster" motif Bugs had, literally changing his appearance depending on who he's pranking on a given day (examples: dressing up as Daffy while doing the "duck season, fire!" gag... or crossdressing when humans like Fudd were involved.)
Funny enough I was just rewatching Danny Phantom so I'd love to see him as a pokemon.
I think he'd be Ghost / Normal type to reference the fact that he's a Halfa (in-universe term for half ghost hybrid). The shiny can also reference Danny's jumpsuit being mostly white with black accents from before he turned on the portal.
