Hi Paul and everyone who reads my comments.
Thank you Paul for showing us the way to edit a Foto in a sort of minimalist way. This was the first time for me i saw this, and even it is not my type of fotos, it was very interesting. Just one question : at the end of editing a mask for the japanese gate: did you make it manually or was there something else in the editing i missed? sorry but i am like those two other guys who ask the same question on this page 🤔🤔???
the second edit with the linear reponse curve was great. Here a very good example of what a linear response curve can do 👍👍👍. i think i don't use it enough!!
Other question: adobe lightroom has made a very great update, with a tool which constructs in 3D the blur of a lens , if sometimes you put the wrong aperture to make your shooting. Have you seen this update ? Do you think there are a few chances that we will see this tool someday in capture one ? thanks for your work and i wish you a wonderful rest because you were tired like you said in the video !

So - to "break cover" - the second mask may have been made with a future feature, that may be available for people to try in the beta version 😉
On the adobe lens blur feature - honestly, I've played with it - and it's a faaaaaaaar way away from *natural* lens blur. It's *trying* to apply an effect that represents bokeh, but that's not the whole story of fall-off that a lens at a wide aperture provides.
If you can, I'd 10/10 times suggest getting it right in camera: I've been able to pick out every single "faked" lightroom lens blur image when they've been shown to me.

@@Paulreiffer Thank you very much Paul for your precious answer ! this was the way I was thinking a bit before i read you! it is always a security to hear from a specialist that the new tool is not that they want to show us ! thanks for that very precious information. 👍👍

    Thanks for the lesson.
I use a Fujifilm X-T3 and I am trying to start editing with the raw image instead of the fujifilm simulations. By using the ICC profile "Generic XT3" and the Curve "Linear Response" I still find the colours a bit unnatural, like some colour shifts are still applied. I find colours more natural by using the ICC profile "Adobe RGB (1998)" and the Curve "Linear Response". Is it a good idea to start editing from this ICC and Curve ?

To be fair - in general (avoiding any iCloud uploads) things seem OK. Will you get *support* ahead of time? No.

Sorry but, I didn’t understand how, at least, you got the mask on the Japanese gate.
With a little help by some plug-ins?
    Perhaps, I missed something.
    Thanks,
    Fabriizo

It might be worth signing up for the Capture One Beta programme...

@@PaulreifferI signed in and tried it but I came back to the normal version.
May I use both version? I mean the beta version and the normal one on the same computer?
      Thanks again.
