RAD changed my life and set the tone for me as a kid when it came to bmx ing. I literally had a replica Dyno GT from the movie that got stolen when I was 14 and never could come close to getting anything close to any replica from the movie. Heartbreaking but gotta say it was an honor to have something resembling my fav movie of all time at some point in my life. Much love to all who was involved to the biggest underrated movie of the 80s/90s. Man only if I still had that bike to give to my son now lol.
GT was touring in 88 I believe, my friends mom drove us 2.5 hours to Little Rock Arkansas to see you and I think Josh White ride ramps and flat land. It was awesome meeting you guys and getting autographed GT decals from you. You were a huge hero to us little kids in small town Arkansas. So glad to see you are still doing well and BMXing. I still have my first dedicated freestyle bike frame and I started ordering parts this week to build it and start riding again at 52.
I’m going on 52 and I’m a larger guy (6’1 at 220 pounds.) I want to get back into the sport, but do they make bikes for guys my size? If so, what specific brand name and model would you recommend?
RAD was one of my favorite movies as a kid.I loved ruding bikes. We tried so many stunts and jumps. I still have scars😂 The good old days I'll never forget.. my Mongoose Expert took me everywhere...MANY miles It still hangs in my garage, and my kids have rode it.
I can’t overstate how many times I made my mom drive my to the local library so I could rent Rad in the late 1980s and watch it until it was worn out. I still have my old Mongoose Motivator which was the first chrome BMX bike I bought myself with paper route money. Thanks for the memories!
I’m 51 years old, born and raised in East Tennessee. I remember you as a household name at my middle school back in the mid 1980’s, Eddie! This is incredible that your skills don’t seem to have diminished at all! You are superhuman in my book, man.
that dude was my hero when i was a kid and hes still going hard! I used to piss off my mom because i would play RAD constantly in the living room..My dad would just sit there and watch it too,i think he liked it as much as i did..Still has to be one of my favorite movies of all time-that music took me back to 1986 so quick 😂
I grew up watching RAD and became obsessed with the different colored alloy rims and other bits and pieces, i wish i had them all, and i wanted to build my own bikes as well. Just love it. I think my next hobby will be collecting these old skool BMX bikes for sure. I miss the 80's...
Class act back the day. Saw him at a demo in HB. Saw him a few years later at Pipeline and he was super cool...even though I had moved onto skateboarding.
10:28 - Destin from Smarter Every Day was the first one I seen spread this around the internet and I've always wanted to try one because of my BMX background.... I feel like anyone who can fakie really good can do this bike easily and I want to test my theory. 🔙🚲😁👍 Edit: I think my favorite part was when he said "after I learned the backwards bike I couldn't ride a regular bike and it took me awhile to relearn and I'm convinced nobody can ride it first try" and now I really want to ride/build one... 😂
Mongoose. Sugino 166 cranks,KKT Beartrap Pedals,Tioga layback seat post,Trick Top seat,MCS Mini Bars,Pillow neck,Z rims,Panaracer Knarley tires. That was my ride.
Eddie you are killing it with your recent videos! I saw my original number plate (the red and white checkered one on the wall) that used to hang on my MT Quickfox! The frame was a tank! Keep all these videos coming Eddie Happy New year!
GT power series three-piece cranks were always so awesome to me. Any bike that had three piece cranks and a smaller sprocket I knew was a more professional writer. I remember stock GT pro freestyle, tour, team model bikes, brand new, or like 800 bucks back in 1988 and I thought that was outrageous. But today I would totally buy one for 800 but that’s not happening. I did spend $2000 on a E bike last year but I would spend $2000 easily on a GT performer mint condition but that’s not happening either.
I wonder if these dudes know about comedian joe list naming his kid Crew cuz of this Movie.. They should reach out, Joe is a huge fan of the movie, like a big fan..
Making me miss the 80s wish I could go back
Calgon take me away😂

If you’re not a flat lane guy I’d check out PK cruisers
Yes👍👍👍 So rad to have the whole crew over. We need to do more. Maybe a collab?
I like that idea… I do have a frame and fork laying around 😏
@ let’s talk
Yes please😁
That would be rad for sure have each member of crew bring some parts and make 1 bike
No way! My dad showed me Rad when I was a kid and now this just shows up on my feed so many years later. Awesome! 😎

I was an extra in this movie!!! I was in the crowd during the parade scene shot in Cochrane Alberta.

As a kid of the 80s it's almost brings a tear to my eye. We need way more stores just like this
Loved that movie!!
Great video! You had everybody come on over. 🤟🤟
'The Pipeline'!! I spent so many days there in the '80s
Missing my bmx days! Couldn't have asked for a better place to do bmx than SoCal. Rad championship series was the pinnacle of my racing days.
Freestyler from the 80’s here! 🙋🏻♂️ love this
Literally was inspired by this so I put on RAD and slipping away to a time when life was amazing 🤙🏻
Eddie was king. Being from Washington state, he was our inspiration. All hail the early 80s..lol
I like 👍 and I like BMX hutch bike and BMX gt bike ❤
Was the best most hype movie of my childhood!!!!

Brilliant video sean great to see the guys and your awesome display👍👍
The RAD backflip changed my spine forever...damn that hurt trying without a mattress. LOL!🤕😆
“You over rotated”…lol
Such a great video… love the concept of the Carnival bike
I love the rad movie music album it had some of the best songs. I wish I grew up in the 80s.
So many memories... I snapped a national pro learning to backflip
That’s wild. Eddies Bike Shop is local to me. Built bikes there a long time ago 😂
Nice. Rad is my nickname. I loved the movie Rad. 👍🏾💯🔥
I could practically hear "send me an angel" playing as Eddie road the backward steering bike. 🤣
Wow! This was awesome.
RAD is one of my favorite movies it was filmed in Calgary and Cochrane Alberta where I live.
Totally Rad !!!
It reminds me of the first time I operated a forklift😂
His freestyle is fire!! I grew up watching these guys

I still have my 83 Diamond Back Silver Streak. I'm the original owner. Got it in 83 for Christmas. Pretty much all original besides tires and brakes.
Rad best movie of all times.
This was SO awesome
Bear trap pedals scarred me for life
Cool
Eddy the king 👍😘🇨🇵
Good watch... RAD 😎
🤘🏻😎🤘🏻

At 50...im still getting rad....
Hell I'm attached to all my bikes!

Gold
Dude I jus saw KKT Lightening...waay back
""\RAD/"" ❤
PK ripper's were great lightweight bike, the problem was with the front forks.
I broke my pk ripper also in Chicago IL 😔 wish I had it still
They were also to register the bike at the police station just in case the bike gets stolen at least here in The Bronx.
So.. why no talks about RAD 2? Come on guys get it done 😊 tell Adrien i said let's get it done lol..
RAD is a great movie. GT way before it went down the walmart drain.
Only name I remember from back in the day is Ryan Nyquist or something like that😂 I wish I learned bmx
watched rad everyday for a year when I was a kid maybe exaggerating but it seemed like it
At 4:30, are PK Rippers really that fragile?
Yes
Yep we broke my buddies trying backflips.
Yep bent mine
@ Is it ok to just ride normal? This happens while jumping I assume.
The front forks were the weakest point
I just wanna know where I can get one of those Fiola hats!!!
Any chance of getting a remastered version of RAD ?
Didn’t Eddie used to have a bike shop in Corpus Christi, Texas?
Maybe the cranks didn't melt because they were billet.
Bret is the man. I hope the epa finially left the guy alone. I know he was going through it.
Once you train your brain to do this you can switch back and forth relatively easy
My dad had the all chrome GT and gave me it them was stolen wish i had one again
Why build a bike like this? Because you can. 😆
Donde los venden
Hey man that's messed up saying it's fine to cut up a 2000 performer. I still have my original 99 vertigo.
What is the song?
More than 40 pounds over! What are you talking about my guy?? Lol JJA
Yikes!!!
That movie sucked!!!
PFIspeed making another channel. Long time supporter of Brent and his family. Shout out to Goofy.
