I watched this clip so many times, but something clicked with me today. The light in the forest is mirrored by the light of her front door. The act of violence in the forest is mirrored by her own attempt to drown in the bathtub. I think the forest is symbolic of her life where she is trapped in a terrible situation and needs to open the door to escape. But there is no rebirth without destruction. Thankfully, she emerges from the bath unharmed, but in the forest she symbolically kills what is tormenting her, and as she walks towards the light, the earth is destroyed in cataclysm. Did she make it through ... through that light in the forest, out of her front door? I hope she lives. I really hope she lives.

This song floored me the first time I heard it a few months ago. It caught me totally off guard and still hits deep every time I listen to it.

I love that this band is finally getting recognition. The album came out a couple years ago now, but the video really got them some attention. The full album is pretty amazing too - if you feel like you weren't ready for the vocals, they stand out even more when they're the ONLY vocals on the entire album.

Heard this song for the first time today. I’m currently in the middle of a very sad and dark situation. After the first listen, I had the exact same reaction. Speechless. The video and the music are absolutely god tier. Then the second listen… This song opened my bottled emotions up like a mentos being dropped into a 2 liter of Diet Coke. Absolutely fucking phenomenal.

I just checked the band. The woman in the video is an actress, the real vocalist is male. They really fooled on this one, I was convinced of hearing a female voice, but once you know it it's obvious it is not.
