- Both these overpens have to count as regular pens + some more damage from somewhere?
I'm scroll zooming because this is in the replay file on the free camera. I forgot about this schot in the actual battle so I had to go to the replay to see how it went. :)

Except that this happens very rarely. Most of the time, these guns just overpen.
@@aokaze-minotaur When you know how to aim then not that often. The bigger problem is that you get fokused very fast ^^
@@ikko93 I would like to think that Notser knows how to aim, yet even he gets mostly overpens on broadsiding targets.
@@aokaze-minotaur Euhm, Notser is known for not having good aim nor good situational awareness. I've watched him a few times and I'm absolute astonished you can play like that after so many games.

I do use shift normally so no worries ;)

As a lover of battleships, whenever I spot a salvo come in from so far away I can't see the ship that fired it, I start praying that my rudder shift spontaneously becomes that of a DD, lol.
The Sound of determination, destruction and death... I play World of Warships Legends, so just Yamato and Großer Kurfürst have nice gunsounds. But I love the Shikishima gunsound more, because it's just the sound of death.

Meanwhile, at 7.5km my Yamato full salvo goes 3 shells in the water, 3 above the Kremlin superstructure, 2 in front of the bow and 1 overpen at funnel....
That is the same with Shikishima and other IJN bb's. Their dispersion curve is a bit similar to Slava where your dispersion becomes better at longer range than other bb's but worse at close range.

@@keithw4920 No it's just a balancing choice. If you want accurate close range bb's play the russian and american line. Ohio is worth the RB points.

meanwhile, my Izumo's full slavo goes like this: 5.2km within the range of a full broadside target, fire 9 shots. 2 fly over the ship, 1 lands in the water, 3 overpen in the superstructure 1 rik, 1 doesn't pen, 1 hits torp protection.
If i remember correctly, warspite and Scharnhorst share the record for longest shot that hit its target at 26 km, so this is technically possible

Do you use any game sound mods? I can't get any of my ships to sound even close to what I see on youtube. And Shikishima is not the only example.

How does the overpen badges work? Are you saying that even though it shows 2 over and 1 pen, the game might have calculated differently?
Yes but that happens quite often sadly. I notice it more often on long range schooting tho. Maybe it has something to do with desync issues wg has.
That two overpen was lucky lol. They hit the Barbette which even tho its overpen, it can dealt 1/2 of your shell's maximum damage
That might be it, or those two overpens count as and overpen and pen damage

The ovepren i think going through the Barbette or Magazine which if you hit it, the damage count into 1/2 maximum damage. Whe i using GK, i got 2 over pen that deal 11.000 damage.

Well, this is just the static crosshair number 4 I think. But I play this game for so long that I do it on feel. I don't use my crosshair at all. There are good video's from Ichasegaming on how to aim ;)
