Protests should not be violent on our streets, a lesson to learn here people. If you are truly a concerned citizen, then do your protest sensibly and peacefully. Rioting and fighting with the police doesn't get you anywhere - except you lose your job, get a criminal record, and prison time.
Firstly, there is a legal difference between a migrant and an asylum seeker. Or do you want to ban tourists, foreign students who are the only reason most of our universities still function as they pay uncapped fees, entrepreneurs, musicians? If you're referring to asylum seekers only, which I suspect is what you actually mean, then it is not legal for people to house them in their own homes. They have to go where the government tells them to go, and none of them would have been in hotels if the Tories hadn't spent the last 14 years failing to assess asylum applications in a timely fashion. The only reason the asylum system has become so very expensive is that the Tories were perfectly happy to pretend to be tough on immigration by dragging their heels on processing asylum claims and making us foot the bill for their basic incompetence. Not to mention I wonder how many hoteliers loved all that guaranteed income during an economic crisis. Wonder how many are Tory supporters...? And if you're mad at the government, be mad at the government. How does smashing up a Greggs or Shoezone do anything for this country?
@@McsqwLet's make it legal then, laws change all the time, I want an opt out option, I do not want to spend anything on people coming here legally or illegally. I'm sure all those people will be very very happy to change the law so they can house them themselves.
