Social workers should create a platform where social workers from the entire world can meet and discuss the current scenario of their respective area and come with possible solution through discussion

Honestly social workers I know are making very good money. The one I have at school actually makes over $75,000. It totally depends where you are going to and how much experience you’ve had. Everyone has got to start somewhere. I am still in high-school and I’m very interested in social work.

Social Work is extremely different in the UK compared to the USA.
I always tell people that they need to have excellent writing skills and be able to produce assessments that are analytical. In the UK once you qualify, you can work in every area of Social Work but always advise students to make sure they get experience in child protection. Strongly advise you not to go into this career if you are not able to take stress and need to understand that social work is providing the legal responsibilities of local authorities. Government set up welfare laws and have to provide the resources to meet the various legislation that was passed by law.
Glad to say that I am a proud Social Worker for 25 years.

I graduated with an undergraduate and communications media, ended up working in a few different nonprofits with people with autism and a sexual violence resource center as a community educator. I ended up picking at school for my masters that has a Masters of public affairs and sociology degree, but not having doubts about doing a Masters of social work because of the versatility provides you. The director of the center where I worked at Khilynn courage me to do so, but I chose to come to the school that was a lot lower cost and provided me a full assistant ship. However what I'm trying to say is that I think social work is still a very good option, yes the majority of jobs are probably going to pay entry level wages but there's opportunities to find higher pay. But what I'm coming to the realization is how I am built . We all have different gifts and there's a lot of us that our gift is helping people and Connecting with others, I really can't see myself doing and everything for a job. I'm not cut out to work in bureaucracy, I couldn't see myself being an English teacher, I can only see myself trying to help people

I have my associates in social work and it is really frustrating when you are trying to help an individual to become a better person and at the end of the day they stay in the same place where you found them. You can't help people unless they want to help themselves. The classes for bsw or master are ridiculously expensive plus, what you are going to get pay is much less than the average pay for bsw that is less than or around 25k to 30k per year. You must work in as a privated clinical sw, hospital, school system, or dcf to really see some money. I love to help people but the loans are not helping me. Make sure that this is what you want to do because it will drain you mentally if you don't know how to separate work from your personal life. Btw this video is very helpful 💗👍

I wanna be a social worker but I feel like I will always be in debt. I want to go to a university that offers that major but I've noticed that the pay is not the best and that's what I'm worried about. I know that I shouldn't worry about the money and it's about helping people but I want to eventually start a family and I want to give them a good life and I'm still not sure that my pay will be enough to provide that life that I want them to have.( and I don't mean to spoil them and give them the best of the best, but to have a good lifestyle..... if that made sense)

Gald you find destroying lives beautiful, you did a wonderful job with Hayley Gascoigne, that must have been one of the greatest achievements for social workers? Driving a young mother to her death, through stress and distress social workers caused her. As for others, I have seen them mocked, when they have broken down and wept in the public area of the courtroom. What I have witnessed in the last two years, has been distressing and alarming. I don't know what type people you are, but one thing is for certain, social workers, have no compassion and no humanity. In fact they are nothing more mindless, vicious, vindictive emotional thugs.

I plan on being one in the future so this really helps :) Also, you mentioned in a previous video that I watched that it's good to have some work experience involving social services while in school to prepare for the "real job" lol. Were you refering to volunteering and/or part time work. I would be interested in both so if there are any type of positions that you were in or that you know of it'd be great if oucan share that experience in a reply or another video! DON'T DO IT!!! I've been in the field for 19 years. It drains the life out of you, pay is not great, it can be violent, and it's completely thankless. True is you can "pretend" you're changing lives, but no matter what you do, adults will continue to do whatever they want. It's not what you think it is when going to school. Please don't..you will regret it

TheSewingRoom ! It’s by no means an easy job. But please don’t detract others from pursuing something they are passionate about. The world needs more social workers who are willing to go into the darkest places and pick up the pieces. That’s what we do.
