    This is probably the best interview Michael has done since taking over. He answered the questions and showed that he continues to invest and learn. One of the smartest people there is and the best owner we could have had in the circumstances. You have to build a base. We’ve fallen behind for 60 years, it’s going to take a decade of hard work and sustained investment.

    Grateful to have this man, and his family and business associates, at the helm. The first phase of the stadium redevelopment looks great. Can't wait to see it progress further and how the first team shapes up for this season. Sounds like a big push to get the job done this season!

    Honest and insightful interview, thanks for posting. More of these would be appreciated by the fan base for sure. Good to hear his thoughts on all matters - it's easy to forget what a tough place the club was in (off the pitch) when the Eisners bought it. Let's hope now our performance on the pitch can be raised to the next level. Also, great to hear about the women's team - I had no idea they weren't part of the same ownership structure. PUP!

    It sounded like he expected the academy to play a larger part of promotion within 5 to 6 years but he underestimated the difficulties it all entailed. Good honest interview, I think we're very lucky to be under Eisner's ownership.

    Good and honest interview.. always backed them from the beginning. 8-10,000 attendance without the work done on fratton park is incredibly strange to think of. No way we could have done this work without them! as we have just sold 8,500 season tickets. That would have been our lot without these boys . Up the blues PUP.

    Brilliant update, keep up the great work Mr Eisner, here's hoping we'll see great things next season. Hopefully you'll back Mousinho. 👍🏻

    Such a good well conducted interview. The guys done us proud behind the scenes it’s now for us fans to get behind the team and get promotion this season. Building brick by brick takes time and we shouldn’t forget where we were as a club a decade ago

    It baffles me how despite the clear answers, explanations and money spent that there are still some deluded fans wanting a fairy godmother to wave her wand and make us a championship club. We’re lucky to have the Eisners at PFC

    After decades of under investment in infrastructure, Tornante are slowly putting this right. They are serious long term investors and will move the club forward.
    They have reinvested transfer fees received with very little positive results. Recruitment is key and when we get this right, we'll go up and most likely stay up and move forward.

    Great interview. The Eisners have done some great work on the infrastructure and improvements to Fratton Park etc, now they have to spend money on the squad bringing in some quality players and improve on the pitch. We've got to be aiming for either automatic promotion, which may be too much of a big task for us to be honest, or at the very least the playoffs. Anything below that next season and I think serious questions will be asked of the Eisners ambitions towards moving our great football club forward. Let's hope we now see some backing for John Mousinho and help him build a good competitive team this summer that we can be proud of and enjoying watching next season. I'm sure they will back the manager now, only time will tell.

    If we don’t achieve at least play offs this season then I think it will become very hostile. Investments have been made in the right areas but it matters on the pitch and it feels like we’ve gone backwards since we finished on 88 points and bottled promotion. That team was the one to go up with but we’ve had to rebuild and so far we’ve rebuilt badly. Not getting playoffs for the past couple of seasons is not good enough for this club. We drew 40% of our games last season…

  • @johnkirton2534
    @johnkirton2534 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    It looks like the Eisners having done all the essential works on the ground, which were absolutely essential to have a base for moving forward, have now got the management/recruitment infrastucture that they are confident in. Signing young players, with room for improvement, is the way to go. Better six of these for the price of a Marquis and only double the salary outlay. With the right service Bishop could get 30 league goals and bring in 10 million to invest in a promoted team.

    Good interview, i totally agree about championship to prem cant be rushed, but i really hope that next season we are promoted to the championship, we really need it! its where we should be at minimum, once the ground capacity is increased then a prem push would be great.

  • @abaker161
    @abaker161 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    To all of those who demand investment in the team before getting the infrastructure, the ground, the longterm sustainability of players, I ask have you not learnt anything from our recent past? The club has made massive strides towards having a ground that could one day host Premier League football in the future. Investment in the team has to be secondary for the moment until such time as all of this work is completed and then and only then would it be prudent to invest in players capable of playing at the highest level. Imagine being promoted last season, 90% of the team wouldn't have been here the following season and immediate relegation could easily have followed. The futures bright... EastMidsBlue

    Think about it logicly.
    Where would you rather be?
    Back where we were 9/10 years back or where we are now?
    Would you rather what man u, everton and even what Newcastle have had over the years?
    Just remember what these people have done for our club, and look at what they are still doing for our club.
    This man and family have brought into what it means to us. They are setting everything up for the future.
    Younger signings are coming in for the future. The stadium is being updated and made safe for the future.
    Biggest thing i heard there was he wants pompey boys and girls playing for portsmouth fc.
    Why is it that wonderful tallent that is pompey born and bread have never played at any level for us.
    JWP at scum and M. Mount at chelsea. Two massive pompey tallents that have never been with us.
    This needs to change and these owners see that.
    Lets see how life fairs at the 10year mark of this ownership.
    Play Up Pompey!

    Don't get the anger of some people towards the owners, they are investing in the club and have a vision of where we are going, the fact we are still in this awful division is not all their fault , no club has a magic wand to get us out, no club has a Devine right to promotion, they don't pick the team or what formation the team plays, but what they are doing is spending money , how many of you remember the dark days of administration, we are in a much better place though granted not on the playing side yet.
    Great the women's team are on board, onwards and upwards pompey.

We no longer have Dodgy Russian owners milking this club yet I'm still reading peoples comments of Eisners out? seriously? what do you want? @@Dionysos640 totally agree. Up until just a few years ago the team had to train up the road in the wrong end of the county. People just want instant gratification. I’ve noticed one individual every video win loose or draw posts Eisner out! Crazy. Think he may be from up the road!

    Well, the Eisners are better than the owners of Man.u., who just borrow and borrow against the club...but their plan will take a long while to bare fruit. John Musinho and Richard Hughes will be judged by this transfer window - I think John's lack of experience and contacts compared with an experienced manager will put us at a disadvantage, I really hope he can beat the odds......

    "i think we've demonstrated that desire" in regards to Promotion and play-offs.. I think most of us will disagree with that. It doesn't feel like outside of infrastructure theres been any desire to improve. These infrastructure investments feel more like theyre designed to raise the clubs value ready to be sold off for a large profit should the opportunity arise. I don't feel any of the decisions and stubborness to act on the pitch side of things or on the front end show any form of desire to progress.

    Such great owners! Not putting us in debt. Putting the infrastructure in place so in the future we can compete in the championship also not rushing into things. People was up in arms when we was in debt and nearly lost our believed club and now people are moaning because we are debt free and are having our ground updated and have a good manager and some good players coming into the club PUP
