I had to repost this video because of copyright issues on a song. Also a lot of people were upset when I spoke about Japanese food and I just wanted to say I meant no disrespect, it’s just not my favorite!! Everyone in Japan was soooo nice and I appreciate the care we got. My stomach just never does well with foreign food 😭 Love Japan and their culture, I was just a little too excited to eat french fries. Next time I will word it better so no one misunderstands or takes offense. Jonas will be the first to tell you he thinks it’s a crime I don’t like Japanese food haha. Love you all!!

Ya Do a video of the Leo’s you packed to wear while there and the ones you got when you were there!! Do a try on when you do it or if you have video at the olympics wearing them include that. Bet they are totally stunning and beautiful!!

Not gunna lie, was a little shocked that you and your sis were commenting about the ugly shoes and she said they looked like "midget feet". Not sure if you all knew it, but that word is considered a slur. We all say things in private that isn't PC, but it's good to make sure you edit that kind of thing out before you publish it. Congrats on the medal and I'm excited to see where life leads you.

Calling free items from Nike, Ralph Lauren and others gross or ugly shows a level of being incredibly rude and ungrateful!! Other sponsors will see this and run the other way!! So sad to disrespect those companies🤦♀️

@@KandeShack Wasn't rude or ungrateful at all. They're not required to love or like everything that is given to them for free. Olympic athletes are severely underpaid so you should be happy that she's getting all this free stuff, no matter her opinion on her personal style. The clear toe shoes were ugly.
Not gonna lie I could feel the tension. I know how it feels to film a video a long time. You guys should refilm this one more in-depth and let the girls "do their thing" as another commenter said.
Seeing you come off the airplane with that medal 🥈 around your neck, I literally almost cried. I'm so proud of you girl! You did this!! 💕
Some constructive criticism on the editing. I think the unpacking and showing off all the japan Olympic goodies would have been far more interesting to watch if you’d just had Mykayla sort out the stuff she thought was cool, and then sit down and show those top 10-20 items. 15 minutes of random items flashing across the screen with no explanation just doesn’t make for a good time for the viewers.
Some viewer might of like see all pulled out. I do understand your concern.

I actually liked this video, almost made it feel like we were there too. Plus I appreciate them putting out a video sooner rather than later. I think an additional video going through everything or her top favorites would be good too to complement this one.

I think Myk's honesty in general is one reason people like her. And while I actually hate the whole influencer world that Myk is sort of embracing, authenticity is currently very in, and brands like Nike are super savvy about that. She's not hurting her image or relationship with these brands at all.

I’m so proud of you Mykayla and I think it’s the most beautiful you’ve ever looked when you were having your pictures taken there in the airport with family etc.
I truly believe the Lord honoured you because you honoured Him. Of course, your hard work too but if we are ashamed of Him, He is ashamed of us but you’ve used your platform for His glory and to show others what is possible through Him and I am sure He is so proud.

Would love to see your fitness routine when you are completely done with gymnastics!! Are you going to do any CrossFit, weights, Pilates, yoga? So curious. Thank you!! I have heard that gymnast get really depressed because they had endorphins from all the training and that it’s a good idea to train a lot and decrease hours slowly so that doesn’t happen. Is that true? Anyone?

It probably would’ve been better to wait to film, idk. I get that you were unpacking, and I look like that when I’m unpacking too.
Would’ve loved to see everything more in depth. I love your vlogs, but it did look like you were throwing clothes around. You even said things were ugly, so I can see why people may think you may have acted a bit ungrateful or if Nike or Polo may get upset after giving you free clothes. That’s just my two cents. :)
Yeah, filming later would have been better. I really wanted to actually see the items. This just isn’t the video I was expecting.
There are a few other olympians who have channels and did a haul of their goodies and are so grateful!
This shouldn't have been filmed when it was. Everyone is exhausted and it seems rushed and very ungrateful. I'mpositive that's not what you intended but that's the way it comes across. I wish you would have taken the time to set up a tripod and already had everything out and organized and just did a quick voiceover after you were well rested and had energy to film.
Have been a fan so no hate, but considering there was so much more wrong with this video other than just saying “food in Tokyo is gross”(which was the only part edited out), I didn’t expect it to be reposted. The word “midget” was used to describe Myk’s feet which is a very demeaning word to a certain group of people and is still in the video. AND the majority of the *FREE AND VERY EXPENSIVE* clothing and accessory items were repeatedly called ugly and overall just came off very ungrateful. The usual videos are typically a lot more positive.
I have to agree. I am so happy for her. But I couldn't help but feel a little upset when she was calling free stuff ugly. I get that it may not be her style. But don't say it on camera .....lol its free stuff that was a gift. Appreciate it was given to you and you had the opportunity to go and get those free items. :/

Woke up this morning and watched it again twice. I liked the poster who said, “let her open her presents!”, but then again everyone has to admit that Jonas is a rock star for watching the opening of the 300 presents. “What’s she gonna do when she doesn’t work out?”The shade though...😆 You, two are my favorite couple. MyKayla I have loved you & supported you through your gymnastics career. I have prayed for you. Wanted you to win an Olympian Medal. However, watching this video really upsets me. The way you dismiss the things that were given to you. I know you’re tired & you don’t really give a $$$$ anymore but have some respect for the items that’s been given to you & for us that look up to you & expect way better.
MYK I'mma need you to try on all the olympic leos!! Hope Orlando was relaxing and you get to have some down-time or chill time before y'all move back to Utah (I think that's where y'all are headed next right?!) and before the Gold over America tour! Would love to see a video just on Olympic Leos, how many did you get, and do you get to pick what one to wear on each event?
Does everyone on the team get the same number of Leo’s?
from what I've seen in the past, everyone gets the same number of leos and they are the same. which ones they were depends on the day/competition. I know on team qualifications and finals, teams have to wear the exact same leo which they pick out the day of. this year was the only difference where the four member team wore the same leo and the 2 individuals wore a different leo from the team during team qualifications
They tell you what to wear & when. Same with outfits
This was so cool! Jonas, you brought this on yourself by booking your vacation to Florida for the day after Myk got back from Tokyo haha🙃! I hope you're having an epic time here (or had, I don't know if you're still here in Florida🙂). You've really earned it!
I've wanted to see all the leos ever since the GK photoshoot after trials when Myk said every leo has a different meaning and story behind it. I remember the black one with the metallic peach chevrons was supposed to represent the Olympic torch, but I am dying to know about the rest!

I watched the original sitting on the bus leaving a Disney park. Had some one catch me seeing the notification and they even commented how amazing you were in Tokyo. It’s amazing how many goodies you returned home with. What an amazing end to your career, MyKayla. I remember 2016 and being so upset you were left off and fast-forward to the day after team finals a friend asking if you were still there. Everything happens for a reason. God had a plan for you and it was this. Congratulations once again!
