The 4th official only allocated 3mins of added time, Mike Dean spent 3mins on the VAR, and then there was 5 additional goals in the 2nd half.
It could of easily of been 6mins of extra time and a 10-0 score line.
VAR confirmation took so long, the 4th official must've dozed off...

Charlie Nichols was also quite the optimistic Arsenal pundit but not as bad and thus expendable as Thompson. The chemistry between them all was terrific to watch.

the whole United team was playing well, but Luke Shaw was absolutely sensational in that game.
Now if only they can play or even control the football that well in 2022/2023 season I would be a happy lad/man...they can't seem to win or even draw a match. I just hope and pray that the team, Manchester United, doesn't lose their first 10 or so matches because that would probably lead to relegation come Summer next year. 😟😱

This was a freak result. As a Man United fan I know Southampton are miles better than that and with a full strength team out 11 v 11 they will give any team in the country a hard days work. I also know that this result doesn't mean all of a sudden we are potential champions. We're a way off that just yet. Hopefully we will cement a top 4 spot. All the best to Southampton for the rest of the season especially on Saturday May 8th !!!

Yeah Southampton are getting no criticism for this yet they retreated back into their own box, didn't press anyone, didn't mark anyone and conceded 9 goals! they were a disgrace. You can't just lie down and give up and that's exactly what they did.
They waved the white flag rather quickly.

I still don’t understand why commentators say decisions like the second red card should only be yellow because there’s only so much time left or they’re 6/7-0 down. A Red is a red and it also. Affects the following opponents they will play. Rules are rules.

Laws need adjusting in the game. Course its a penalty but player did try and pull out of the challenge. Then again Mike Dean has a reputation for the theatrics.

I agree defenders know exactly what they’re doing, both Bednarek and Luiz couldn’t win the ball from where they are but both just happened to accidentally impede the opponent’s.
@@znowell1 Not on replay though to fake pulling out? My thoughts are that the defender realised Martial touch to be arguably too heavy and it would run through to the keeper so try get out of the way. It is what it is because the stupidity in not giving a penalty after VAR for the foul on Cavani in the first half was worse than this.
@@kwl189 If it was a cup game, then whatever. But it’s a league game and it has repercussions for the rest of the season. If Mike Dean felt sorry for them and didn’t correctly apply the law, Southampton’s next opponents could easily complain if Bednarek was available to play. And also, people complain about consistency, well you can’t have it both ways. If Luiz was sent off then Bednarek has to go as well
