The sight of the Queen sitting in the chapel by herself during the funeral is a sad emblem of our times. Too many people have had to do the same in the past year. My condolences to her and all the people that knew and loved her husband best.

He once said he had no intention of becoming a centenarian and wanted to go out with a private funeral with the least fuss. He really died 2 months before he turned 100, died peacefully and will get a private funeral.. i love that for him.

He didn't want to live to 100 years old either, its a pretty much perfect end for him. Lived from 1921 - 2021, without having to turn 100 years old, passing peacefully in his sleep, and getting the private funeral he wanted too.

I know right?! She met him when she was 13! I looked at my lovely husband today who I've know since I was 16 and married at 20 and it's been 12 years now, and thought, if we are blessed with 60 more years together I don't know what I'd do when he went. Your whole lifestyle would change and at 95 that must be VERY difficult. Almost like having him that long would harm me even more when he passes on. I'm scared for her majesty. Her heart may literally break. The grief at her age, on top of the extended family stress (Harry and Meghan, PRINCE ANDREW, etc) can obviously be deadly.
