Anyone else think the 720p video from the GF1 looked way better than the iPhone video?! Great review! It’s made me go and find mine and want to take it out :)
Love your review- pulled one out of a drawer for a Vietnam trip and re-learning how to use it...I have never really liked the grip-feel of this camera and was impressed by your rubber add-ons! Where did you get them? Thanks!
Nice review, I'm the original owner of a GF1, and it has served me well over the years. However, Panasonic's first ever mirrorless camera was the G1 (released in 2008), not the GF1. The G1 was also my first ever micro 4/3 camera.
I bought one earlier this year to use cheap vintage lenses. Unfortunately there is no focus assist when using "shoot without lens" so I bought a G6 which has focus peaking, and gave the GF1 to my partner with an autofocus lens. Now we're both happy.
Thats correct, and unfortunately, old cameras are not the best at those things, but i find that limitations like those are what drive creativity the farthest Im glad youre both happy :)

Thank you so much! The grip that i added is actually not made of rubber. They are made out of Mighty Putty.
Great review
thank you!
Glad to see another person with my name!
