You cry all you want, that just shows you have feelings and a soft heart. True love should not stop you from crying just because you are a man.
This is Sohyung's power!! She makes big guy to cry with her singing and more surprising thing is that this performance was done with small outside stage and simple guitar, keyboard band. Above all, this is a "LIVE" performance without any auto-tune thing.... I really cherish her... She doesn't chase money or fame, and alwasys stays humble.... I do respect her....

This song was performed in the midst of a pandemic still brewing worldwide and people dying from it. If you know of someone dear who had succumbed to the virus and passed away, this song will hit you even more and the way she sings it does not make you feel any better because our emotions are raw, esp in such difficult times.

First of all, thoughts to you for whatever you are going through. So Hyang has always said her number one performance goal is to comfort people and it sounds like she hit her mark with you.
As for the setting it was at the biggest steel plant in Korea and it was shot for the series Begin Again which puts a cast of well known singers together in a busking setting, typically a group of younger stars and one or two "seniors." Normally they film in a European country but because of the pandemic shot this season's series in Korea in settings where appropriate social distancing was possible. The singer in red is Lee Hi, who is also a wonderful performer and that look you see in her face is officially called the Lee Hi Face of Amazement and makes multiple appearances during the series and is typical of the awe with which all of the juniors regard So Hyang. There are more than a dozen songs from the series that are just as good as this one, and it was just such a wonderful present during an awful year to get so much new stuff from her.

Sohyang's performances often become an invisible mirror that helps us reflect upon our own personal experience and explore our hidden feelings. Sohyang expressed that she is more focused on establishing connections with her audience than displaying her best skills with her performances as in the past. I suppose your reaction serves proudly as an example for her.
In 2020, Sohyang joined a group of musicians to do busking in the TV show titled "Begin Again Korea" to offer joy for the people in the midst of the pandemic. This was Sohyang's first appearance on the show. It took place at a pier of the steel plant, POSCO, in South Korea.

When I first heard this song, I couldn't breathe well. A calm but very lonely voice. But a voice with so much love. It doesn't matter how good she sings. I think she's more akin to Whitney Houston in that they both got that sense of gospel and soul in their vocals. Its such a way that stirs something in you, right? She has such a beautiful voice and especially when she sings those soft notes, oh man, its beautiful. Brings me tears. This was the first video I have watched of Sohyang before delving into her other live versions.
