Great tutorial. Work’s excellent and love that I still have only my original key and not an extra fob. Well done.

Similar issue as the guy below has, it worked fine for a little bit, but now my key is stuck in the ignition, so I can't shut off the car and remove the key. I had to pull my battery out to remedy this and remove the key. Once remote start was removed everything is back to normal. Is there an update to fix this issue?

Got this for my wife for Christmas. Just installed it today. The only really difficult part was connecting the grey wire harness on the passenger side. Other than that it works just like advertised.

My kit came with a slightly different harness. The harness that goes to the ECU also has a single green wire that comes out with a splice connector. Possibly for an immobilizer bypass.. anyway I hooked everything up and it cranks but doesn’t start. Been working with support for a bit but still no luck. Hopefully someone can help figure this out because it’s a Xmas gift for my girlfriend and she was very excited to have it.

Anyone have any luck with the cranks but no start issues?

There is a 2nd and a 3rd generation on the 2021 forte , he has a video on each one and both are different. Hope this helps.

You probably have the kit for the other style forte.

Or you have the switches on power module positioned wrong. All it takes is 1

Anyone have any luck with the crank but won’t start issue? No luck getting in touch with support. Kind of disappointing to spend that kind of money for a paperweight.

There are 2 generation of 2021 forte and both setups for remote start are different, and he has video for both. Pay attention to the switch positions on the power module as well. Make sure switches are positioned correctly. And before doing anything, disconnect negative terminal of battery. Then once connectors are back in place, reconnect battery terminal. Electrical automotive 101 1st test question, but so many never tell you this in their tutorials. They just assume you know it and then $1,000 later your mechanic can't figure out the simple issue you caused by not disconnecting the battery while changing your alternator...

Sorry to hear about the issue! The crank-but-won’t-start problem usually happens with Canadian market models due to the immobilizer. Please reach out to support@mykeypremium.com-they’ll help resolve it. Worst case, you’ll get your money back. We’ll make sure it’s sorted!
