Thx, Doc! Some great suggestions! The hypochlorous acid spray has hands down been phenomenal at curtailing my blepharitis. I find I have to be really careful not to put other lotions on before I spray, because when I don't whatever lotion I'm using mixes with the lotions and the combination can get in your eye and that stings! Preservative free artificial tears are phenomenal too. Took me a while, tho to find one that my eyes loved. Love how you worked Omega 3s into the diet, too. Inspirational! 🌱
Thank you for this great video! I have had rosacea for years and was diagnosed with blepharitis last year. I am not sure but I think the Avenova is helping/working. It now is an over the counter spray (no RX). I am going to implement some of your tips ASAP. Thank you for this video.
I had a bacteria called cutibacterium. Come to find it causes chronic blepheritis! My Dr did not try and treat it. I understand it responds to benzoyl peroxide. Of course I can't use that much around my eyes. Any ideas?
Search for hypochlorous spray for the eyes. There are many brands. Ocusoft makes hypochlor, we love eyes makes one with chamomile in it. Let me know which ones come up when you search and I can help you tell which one is closest to the formulations in the US. 👍🏻
@@EyeSchoolwithDrD i only found ocusoft but it costs 1,000 pesos for one small bottle which is definitely not gonna fit my budget, i found something called blephagel instead its an eyelid scrub that treats blepharitis and cleans the eyelids i looked at the reviews and they were pretty good so i think im getting this one instead
You can catch it from store-bought makeup eye makeup eyebrow pencils This is something that's impossible to get rid of You could treat it Tried everything nothing works You will be treating it for the rest of your life
What tear drops that are preservative free that have little to none side effects is the best to use? i’ve tried many but I end up getting a bad reaction. I’ve tried Refresh triple preserative free, not work.
I like oasis tears and optase - both are preservative free and contain hyaluronic acid, a nice moisturizing agent. Also like retaine mgd a lot - it has oil in it so stays on the eye a little longer. I have a video about my top 5 artificial tears as well!
Probably have to find a spray or eyedrops compatible with contact use for during the day or while at work, school and ect. I don’t know for sure, but maybe it’s not the right video for contact wearers
1. thenk you for the video!!! you think a humidifier, very near my face could work better than compress? taking care of my eye so it doesnt burn lol, is it important to avoid greasy food or fat? i mean i do, but i noticed whenever i eat fried food chocolates etc, is it a coincidence that when i do i get more grease on my eye?
@@nelsonnotmandela8725 yes i did. I stopped when it stopped itching & having sticky eye in the morning. Now i use oil cleansers that emulsifies when u add water. I find it helps to break down the oil clog. So far so good 🙂
I’m excited bc I just found a usb powered heat eye mask on Amazon. I like heat compresses but I hate that most microwave ones cool down real fast. This one I found has 3 temps and timers like a plug in heating pad. It looks really comfortable too so I’m hoping I can wear it and listen to an audiobook to fall asleep or something. I also got the acid spray to add to my routine. Hoping it helps!
you recommend using sunscreen for someone with blepharitis? i heard someone said that it goes directly to the eye whenever you sweat , and even worse if you have any oil make up and have to clean the face with wipes all day. :( thank you im in the process of taking care of this, luckily have time to do this now
I have been fighting eye irritation for 6 months....had a COMPLETE EYE EXAM and they said I had conjunctavitis...and gave me antibiotic ointment...neomycin...but it didn't help. During the pandemic I went NUTS making adirondack chairs using pressure treated wood which is TERRIBLE zinc chromium?? BAD STUFF..so its self induced....but I also used compresses and they are working but I found today I like steaming water in pan and letting my eyes (closed mostly) BATHE in the steam...I hope it works...I also use baby shampoo 3x day....whadda ya think?
Do you have flakes on your lids if you look close? Eyelid margins that stay red and feel tender? Those are pretty good indicators but your eye doc can tell you for sure!

Very informative. Thank you so much!
I use petroleum jelly on my eyelids before my sleeping time.
And yeah I'm suffering from blepharitis at the age of 10.

Can your eye make-up get contaminated ? Or should we buy new beauty make up ? Thank 🌸 you. Ida

store bought makeup? Like any and all brands sold? Do you make your own eyebrow pencils?

Contact lens with blepharitis lol.
Does anyone on here find that blepharitis and dry eyes make you twitch your eyes?

Try apple cider vinegar with a cotton bud, works!
@mary Tay - is this something which you have personally used?
Thanks

For me this made it all worse, those masks are dry heat and I am better off with moist heat.
Thank you!
Can u use warm compress after cataract operation?
What if you wear contacts? They seem to make things worse, but I have to wear them
Then wear glasses 😨🤯

I think using a non waterproof mineral based sunscreen can help. I use CereVe AM face lotion spf 30. There are other good ones too.
Really do you do that routine and still working?

A lot of things make it worse. On humid days my blepheritis gets worse. I can't even go out. But I find the heat pad works
i randomly got this man :(
Can you use these artificial tears while wearing contact lens?
Some do I believe, but might want to do research on that
Rubbing onion on ur eyes,is this idea good or bad?
Ghost pepper is better!😢
This didnt help
That's really hard like how to know if I have so much dirt in my eyelids but i feel like there is and it's still red
